Hey there, these look amazing, and I can finally afford one, but can't find them in the shops! I'm in the UK, where can I get one? The latest W range are these rubbish 15" ones with no second screen or even WACOM digitiser!
Just keep in mind that this notebook is nearly 3 years old :) I have G770 (2011 release), wich was actually first one sold by my retailer (I preordered it 2 weeks before it was in store) and it has been sold-out ever since :) It gets a little hot sometimes (Hot yes, but it doesn´t overheat), when I´m pushing it "to the limit", however I can´t complain, it´s solid, fast notebook with good price/performance ratio. SO please don´t hate on lenovo, still better than overpriced, sony Vaio or Macs
@MultigrainPie I would say that Hp notebooks are reasonably priced... Maybe less powerfull than cheaper Lenovo or MSI notebooks but definately better designed ... In other words you pay extra for guaranteed quality, not like Sony or Apple where you pay for name...
@vladakisa bcuz these machine is optimized for engineering applications like CADD,3DSMAX etc. its hard to use if you just use your finger on it. these is a total performer not an entertainer. peace
This computer is good for one thing ------ Building Biceps and Shoulder Muscles!!! It weighs 4 kilos!!!! You will also have to be on beans for several weeks because it costs about 7 Gs!!!!!!!
I have an extremely detailed unboxing, review and comparison of the newest W510 mobile workstation. It has all the same specs as the w700ds, just a smaller LCD and one less hard drive. RAM, CPU, etc all stays the same. W510 is SMALL.
My review is for the more serious buyers. It is on my channel, here:

Not trying to spam, just letting you guys know there is finally a super-detailed review of the Lenovo workstation series laptops.
@mandolinroad: Chinese made computers. Wow, that's something unheard of ;) Just kidding. But you're right, Lenovo is just bought the PC segment of IBM in 2005.
Yeah, if you're an artist and spare 4.700 Euros for a mostly business related laptop, this should be your choice. In all the other cases, don't touch!
who cares about the "dated" design. when you're an artist, you NEED something you can depend on and this beast looks like something you can depend on!!
Mobile workstations is a desktop that is portable yet has no compromises. These are usually more expensive units and designed to be used on a table top. Laptops are portal PCs that are light, easy to carry all day and designed to be used while sitting in your lap. These are often less powerful, possible less reliable and you usually are missing capabilities that the equivalent desktop offers.
I know, that's why it looks so good - they didn't go all stupid with rounded edges and lightweight plastic! It's still solid, reliable, and serious-business-looking.
I used to think there was something understated in the Thinkpad's subtlety of design, but now it really is beginning to look dated. Please, no plastic, no glossy bullshit, but a bit of a stylistic update would be nice, Lenovo.
I'm totally satisfied with my convertible tablet, but I like the dual screen, traditional style tablet surface idea. Except that its kind of assinine there wasn't a screen on each side/ the one doesn't hinge forward. adsca
its made for photo editing among other things... unlike most touch screens out there a scribe pad can distinguish between different pressures, much like a paint brush does. plus the laptop starts at over $2000, add a 17 inch touch screen on top of that (assuming you don't make the side one touch) it will make the price far above what most people, and company's are willing to pay.
Where can i buy one of these

@Terrystearsatlfc afaik lenovo bought ibm (or part of it at least) and ibm's american so you're essentially getting chinese made american computers.
