  • Good news: Nintendo is releasing a remake of this on Wii, announced from E3! Bad news...well, being a remake, the graphics won't be the same, but I PRAY the music also stays...

  • @PikachuColoredPichu1

Same here I bought goldeneye in gamestation a few months back (Lucky find) and I can see why many people consider it one of the best games ever made. The Gameplay, The Music just awesome

In my opinion. Its shame that Rare are not the brilliant company they once were.

  • Nassis McChopchop...er, I mean Jaws. :D

  • God damn it, I really hope my sister's boyfriend can send me his copy of the game! he's got a bunch of other games, and barely even touches this.

  • i bought this game and a nintendo 64 on ebay haha...cant wait to play it again...i miss this game so much

  • cool I never seen this =O

This game used to creep me out when i was younger do you remember the creepy bucktheeth guys? "shuders"

  • LMAO, Ironically that guy was one of the people who worked at Rare and they took a photo of him for the game!

  • The Tossers at Microsoft own Rare now???

    Great, there goes the neighborhood.

  • What capture card did you use to get the picture so crisp and clean?

  • We used an Adaptec GameBridge my friend.

You can also make the quality better by using a US Nintendo 64 and a S-Video lead. (PAL N64's can't display S-Video, Nintendo took it out for some bizarre reason, same with the Gamecube).

  • Ah, bollocks. Is there anyway around that, because I don't fancy buying another N64.

  • Zero I'm afraid, Composite is still very good, but there's a noticable difference between the two.

Only solace is because of the weak dollar, you could pick up a US N64 really cheaply. like for less than a tenner. and you only need the console itself, all the other leads and power supply work on it. Save money on a step-down converter by using the UK power brick.

  • Ah, okay thanks. I'm guessing you use S-Video for other systems like NES etc too?

  • Well S-Video is the best possible video quality for older consoles, so I try to use it preferably. Otherwise I use Composite.

You could get a recordable DVD player and copy to that via SCART, That'll give a better image than Composite, and slightly not as good as S-Video.

  • But I sometimes use emulators for really old stuff.

  • Ah right, cheers.

  • Then again, here in Europe S-Video isn't that common because we use SCART instead, so Nintendo probably decided there was no point in having S-Video. But what really doesn't make sense is the fact that there isn't any RGB support in their consoles either, so you can't use an RGB SCART plug for even better image quality.

  • uahuuahuHA..legal joguei muito ja 007

  • rofl nice vid

  • Seen GoldenEye Source? It's a free HL2 mod which has online multiplayer! Woohoo!

  • Yeah, it looks pretty sweet!!!

  • i have this game for my n64 and its fun to put on the codes and go on a killing sprea

  • "Everybody remembers that guy on the toliet"

Honestly who COULD forget him at the start of the film/game?

  • this was on my bday

  • Goldeneye 64 is quite simply the best movie game of all time. Also a very revolutionary fps :)

  • Gonna be a fight since the prequel flopped on 360.

  • U know what Goldeneye & Moonwalker have in common is that the game was made over a year after the movie was released So devolpers can make a decent game if they put the time to it but as long as they made a profit from a movie game, they don't care how much it pisses off gamers & even given the time, they still mess up.

  • Activision owns 007 license...

    Microsoft owns rare...

and Nintendo hold the goldeneye 007 game license?

A remake will never happen :[

  • maybe not, but theres still the shitty Quantum of Solace game.

  • oh Quantum of Solace is not THAT bad. It's still pretty decent.

  • QOS was the best Bond game since Everything or Nothing.

  • hm..i suppose i just didn't like it.

  • Well, a straightforward thing to do would be at least a Perfect Dark relelease on the 360. It is this game's direct successor.

  • i played this game so much and even found a couple glitches on multiplayer including being able to get up into the vents by standing on somebody's head on the toilet and jumping.

  • did anyone every figure out y those guards r in the toilets. r they in their for a reason or was rare trying to be funny. for example the hidden cheeses (i know bad grammar) in perfect dark

  • What a good game.. many hours wasted on this.. no many hours enjoyed! and when that was over perfect dark came out!!! we are not worthy!

  • i like golden eye its uber cool lol

  • awesome vid LETS PETITION FOR THIS ON 360!!

  • na for wii & 360 not just 360

  • true

  • I loved playing multiplayer with slaps only! But, there was always some tit who would use the duck button whilst moving (usually playing as odd job) and slap you in the balls untill you died!!

  • cool

  • lmfao ihate how the general shoots at u is he stops points and baam baam 2:20 the guy in the hats the gen

  • Goldeneye multiplayer! Putting proximity mines in really hard-to-spot places is the classic way of getting your friends frustrated with you!

  • on the back of doors or on roof brackets on the cieling are always nasty places.

  • 0:36 A guy is smiling while you're killing him,HI-LARIOUS!

  • whwhaha, noticed it now aswell!

  • guru larry is my hero

  • Thanks bud ^_^

  • omfg i remember wen that game came out is a classic whit 4 player dms and 2 player co op but the part i love is wen u are in facility u shoot the guys hat of and he keeps on pissing, bad part of the game was wen things went boom the fire went right passed the door!?!?!?!?! i just slammed the ugly ass controller

  • you forgot to mention women

  • Sorry?

  • larry WHY DID RARE GO TO MICROSOFE WHAT HERB WAS NINTENDO ON AT THAT TIME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Because Microsoft bought a large amount of shares in them, plus Rare's relationship with Nintendo was going sour. Especially what happened with Dinosaur Planet.

  • ok but how was the relationship with nintendo when sour and what is dinosaur planet

  • Nintendo forced Rare to change Dinosaur Planet into Starfox Adventures, which really bugged them.

  • ok well i hope it mite go 2 the wii vc or live arcade and have u seen the youtube account fiveawesomegamers1 it has 7 other youtubes how like videogames

  • I've never heard of them before, are they any good.

You can sort of play GoldenEye on the Wii VC if you use an "injected" vc game and use the Twilight Princess hack to get them on there.

  • they are gd but do not whtch bonus vids

an in injected vc plz explain and what dose Twilight Princess do with this

  • Type in "Twilight Princess hack" into google and you'll learn all about it.

  • ok and have u look at fiveawesomegames1 yet

  • they should re-release this with online. that would be awesome.

  • damn right good job!

  • Cheers ^_^

  • well i guess u did not approve of my vid well I'm mad because i can't get my N64 game on my wii.

  • Oh, I only just received the response. Accepted it now!

  • thanks

  • Umm... Larry I keep getting that the Video is no longer available.

  • Works fine for me, try watching the high quality version.

  • Only works in standard for me for some reason.

  • this game as the spanish say "El Toppo Notcho" or tis very good.

  • I remember reading that all parties were close to an agreement on re-releasing a downloadable version the game with online multiplayer for WiiWare and Live Arcade, but Satoru Iwata supposedly didn't want the game to appear on a non-Nintendo system, Activision felt compelled to agree, which left Rare saying if "I can't have you, no one will!". Or basically Rare took their toys (the game's code) and went home. I've also heard that was a load of bs, but it's really too bad.

  • You can't blame rare for being selfish at not releasing GoldenEye if Satoru Iwata started it.

  • Man this video alone broke back an overload of nostalgia. Thanks Larry :D

  • Larry is an inspiration to gamers all around.

  • I'm never getting rid of goldeneye or my N64.

  • Good for you, Something to show the grandkids some day ^_^

  • lol!

  • Has this been deleted? Why does it tell me it's no longer available? Aww.

  • Try refreshing the page, It does that with many videos for some reason.

  • I was severaly dissapointed by it. The 'missions' were either blow up everything, press a button or resque someone. It was way too repetitive.

  • You forgot to mention women.

  • probs the best game on n64 along with ocarina of time, would there be a chance of u doing that cos to me thats the best game ive played on for n64

  • Best movie tie-in ever? I'd say so. Awesome stuff as always Larry, keep it up!

  • Did you hack it or is the AI really that bad?

  • This is genuine footage from an official N64 cart, no Action Replay/GameShark Etc.

  • I've never actually played Goldeneye, but I should definately think about it.

  • You really should, you can pick one up with an N64 for next to nothing on eBay now, you really don't know what you're missing.

  • in my top 10, if not top 3 fave games of all time! i love this game, its still very playable to this day. i also loved perfect dark (the kinda sequel to this). ive always thought it would be wicked to have PD's multiplayer and goldeneyes missions and everything else. :D

    nice one larry my man

  • God yes, GoldenEye. The game that was Halo or Gears of War before either of them were an idea scrawled on a napkin.

It still manages to find a place in my N64 every time I drag the old beast out.

    Good times, man.

  • The new 007's life actually is hard. That poor bastard has to work out 12 hours a day and eat nothing but protein shakes. Pierce Brosnan just kind of casually jogged for a few minutes every morning before a massage.

  • happy 5th of november

  • Thanks dude, you too ^_^

  • What's so special about fifth of November?

  • captainporpoise: Nov. 5 is Guy Fawkes Day, commemorating the day Guy Fawkes led a conspiracy to blow up Parliament and his subsequent foiling by officials.

Folks who don't much like the government say he's the only guy in history who ever entered Parliament with honest intentions.

  • On the 5th November 1605 Guy Fawkes was caught in the cellars of the Houses of Parliament with several dozen barrels of gunpowder. Guy Fawkes was subsequently tried as a traitor with his co-conspirators for plotting against the government. Fawkes was sentenced to death and the form of the execution was one of the most horrendous ever practised (hung ,drawn and quartered) which reflected the serious nature of the crime of treason.

  • The next year in 1606 it became an annual custom for Parliament to commission a sermon to commemorate the event. This practice, together with the nursery rhyme, ensured that this crime would never be forgotten. Hence the words "Remember, remember the 5th of November". It serves as a warning to each new generation that treason will never be forgotten. In England the 5th of November is still commemorated each year with fireworks and bonfires culminating with the burning of effigies of Guy Fawkes.

  • Shamwe we couldn't have done a similar thing with the extremists from 9/9, it's virtually the same thing as Guy Fawkes if you think about it.

  • Ahh, ok, I never heard about, but I knew it was a British thing, thanks for telling.

  • Now he'd just b called a terrorist and given a slap on the wrist!

  • I thought the King Kong movie game was awesome, for the 360.

  • It was okay, got a bit repetitive with all the bush burning stuff etc.

  • That was a bit lame, but for a movie game, it was amazing.

  • MICROSOFT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT.

  • Well, perfect dark was better than this for sure.

  • Goldeneye is not my favorite game but it sure is good. Happy 5th of november were we burn an egify of religous extremest

  • Man I wish I owned this game rather than play it at a friends. I can't wait for more of you.

  • Rabbit: yea Goldeneye is a pretty epic game.. butta i prefer Perfect Dark over Goldeneye any day...

  • remember remember the 4th of november, the treason, the gunpowder, and plot

  • the fuck you talkin about its the 5th and you messed it up

  • sorry?

  • Ah i didnt mean to sound harsh ^_^ im a tad sleep deprived.

  • TIMESPLITTERS!!! WOOO!!!

  • Not really... Rare's Shares got bought out by Microsoft. Nintendo couldn't keep the shares to themselves, and M$ bought them all up.

It's Rare's fault that they didn't appease to Nintendo, but what's done is done, and M$ just let them go and we get games that even core gamers just don't want.

  • There was a bit of bad blood between RARE and Nintendo towards the end though, they were pretty pissed about what happened over Dinosaur Planet.

  • well thts cooled over im sure wot with rares DS releases (diddy kong racing port being most significant!) not to mention BK on virtual console

  • I'm gonna get flamed. but I'd rather play Duke Nukem 3D (NOT the N64 version, that's for sure), never liked golden eye much.

  • *FLAMETHROWER ATTACK*

  • I'M MELTING BLAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!

  • You sir are hereby officially flamed

  • One of the best/the best first person shooters ever imo. lol the guy in the toilet was funny.

  • all those cool gadgets, women, cars, women...uhh, women

    :D

  • Ah yes Goldeneye, full of fun even to this day & blowing up generic henchmen never gets old!

  • Did you know that this is the only James Bond game made by a UK developer?

  • loved this game, the video brought back some awesome memorys

  • Remember that cool remake which was gonna be made for 360? Maybe one day it will eventually come out.

  • lets have a moment of silence for it.......

  • Maybe I am wrong ... but I never liked this game, I always thought it was crap. My mates would rave on about it all the time ... nah, not for me. Give me Mario 64 and Lylat Wars any day!

  • are you nuts, 4 player exellent gameplay great graphics great story

  • I guess that's where we differ, I always thought the graphics were terrible, even back in the day when it was first released. But the game itself, just not feeling it ... more negative thumbs for me! Wooooo ... I don't care :)

  • Great game. I also love the fact chairs explore (on fire no less) when you shoot them. XD

  • Let's hope that Goldeneye will be released on XBLA or VC. You'll never know what might happen, Fingers crossed. Now let's enjoy the bonfire and fireworks.

  • Awsome!

  • Wow. Thinking about this game makes me feel old. But this was great! Blowing people up with well timed Remote Mines was always fun! Good Review!

  • Great episode Larry! One of your best, mate!

  • I miss this game good video.

  • gnashers mc chomp chomp Lol XD

  • Another Awesome Retro Corner, I Love this Game!

  • Everyone Loves Explosives!

Woodenboxes, Filing cabinets and even Chairs can explode with just a few gun shots....Love it.

  • Awesome video man!

  • Great review!

I honestly feel this game is one of the best

    fps games ever!

  • Epic fail

  • Why do people always post "FIRST" on videos? They always get down-voted and usually also marked as SPAM when people can't vote them any lower.

  • Larry, they're just no life morons who literally sit and wait for the new videos from popular people to come up and post the "FIRST!!!1!" Thing on them. I guess to them its fun.

  • The truth shall never be known!

By the way, are the new top 10 episodes availeble on the web TV?

  • Yes, the first new ep is going up Monday!!!

  • That doesn't matter, they are the FIRST!!!

  • Yay! Nice one!

  • Woot!!! Golden eye!
