  • At the end of the day the Challenger still turns heads. V6 or v8 it doesnt matter. No one takes a second look when a Mustang drives by. I am no Mustang hater because I use to own one.

  • People on here put it down cuz thay wish thay can own one.

  • Mustangs are really the best for the money, but everyone and thier grandma has a mustang, I'll take the second place camaro anyday.

  • @rdm33rd in high performance terms the gt 500 mustang is the most expensive and has the best handeling the challenger srt8 is heavy but has 425hp and great handeling the ss camaro is the most common i see driving around and seeing them perform in person im highly dissapointed in it doughbags drive camaros idiots who think they can watch fast and furious and drive like they own the road drive camaros iv yet to see anyone in a challenger v6 or 8 act like the douchbags who drive a mustang or camaro

  • I'm getting one!

  • This car is horrendous to drive. I would know, I've driven this boat. There are so many other better handling cars that can get roughly the same gas mileage, I'd overlook this one completely. Unless it was an SRT8, I'd pass it without a glance (including the RTs).

Its sad that in a drag race, this stands a very good chance of getting its ass handed to it by an old AWD Chevy Astro van. LOL

  • this car makes me laugh

  • I have owned my 2010 challenger V6 for 2 weeks now. Yeah, wish it was an 8 however cant afford an 8. With that said I drive it everyday to and from work and it makes me grin on the inside everytime. i drove a restored stock 69 camaro 23 years ago.....since then the challenger is the first car to make me go " Ill be right back, have to go pick up some smokes from the mini mart." and come back 3 hours later.

  • that's sad, the 2005-2010 mustang v6 did better, and the mustang v6 is suppost to be slow

  • Before I get assaulted by the fanboys, let me say this. This car is not thought out. The car weighs something close to 4000lbs, Its only got 255hp for that kind of weight. The brakes on it are crap. It handles and feels like a boat, and under heavy braking, it shifts side to SIDE. I'm speaking this from experience. I've test driven one and hated it. You could not compare this to the other muscle car V6s that are out. I know the Mustangs AND CAMAROs both would embarass this V6, which is sad.

  • I got the 2010 Dodge Challenger SE in Dark Titanium Metallic a couple of days ago :)

For some reason if felt heavier then my last car which was a 2009 Dodge Charger SXT 3.5L. Probbaly because i had a cold air intake, magnaflow dual exhaust and the DiabloSport predator Tuner. Well im going to try and put the Cold Air Intake and the Tuner later to see if feels any lighter

  • I hope a performance tuned version of the new Pentastar V6 can help the challenger. The new V6 camaro is a great new machine and the 2011 V6 mustang is the best performing car for the money on the market period. For pure performance the new V6 mustang matches the R/T Challenger! I would love to get a challenger but could only afford the V6, and I couldn't live with knowing that the V6 Mustang is a much bettter car. Here's to hoping that dodge does something to make the V6 perform better.

  • It would have been funny if they would have put the tiny 2.7L 190 hp V6 that you can actually get in the woefully underpowered base model Dodge Charger. lol. Then put a really mean sounding exhaust on it, take it to the track and run an 18-19 sec quarter mile...impress all your friends!! :)

  • @2003SCT It runs something like 16s and 17s now. LMAO Thats like Chevy Astro van turf or something. LOL

  • ...saying the base model mustang not v8 chill out... and looks alot fucking nicer

  • @conlazycat

Talk about it why isn't there a manual transmission on the SE. Of course its gonna feel more sluggish than a V6 camaro or mustang, when it only comes with an 4 speed automatic. And I'm not even going to talk about gas mileage.

  • I own a 2009 Challenger se-g (sunroof, leather, nav, etc) and love the car. I had the option of buying a stripped down version of the Camaro, but couldn't get past the interior. I have added all the options that I could find for my car in my budget...JBA shorty headers, diablo tune, eibach pros, modern muscle throttle body, K&N intake and Magnaflow exhaust. I have 22" wheels which negates some of the performance gains off the line, but on the highway this car is a real cruiser.

  • @thelastgoodbrother You really can't beat the SE for the styling and price! It's big and beautiful, sort of reminds me of my Johnson! ;)

  • New V6 mustang does 0 to 60 in 5.1 and gets much better gas mileage than the challenger. Even the V8 GT mustang gets better gas mileage (17/26) than the v6 challenger.

  • This Car = Epic Fail

  • The R/T is killer in style and it gives it a real muscle car feel.

  • inaccurate i have a 2010 challenger... im sure wen they tested the just took it out of the factory it sounds like it the engine is not broken in its alot faster than that and it kicks the hell out of he 210 horsepower mustang gt.... its annoying to keep on agueing about it if you like it good if not dont comment

  • @patssmelly Hahaha, you're and idiot. 05+ Mustang GTs has 300HP and 4.6L engine which would destroy that V6 POS Challenger.. I mean come on, 0-60 in 8.1 sec? That's how fast Kia Rio goes. 210HP has the V6 Mustang (0-60 in about 6.9 sec) which is still faster than Challenger... much faster. BTW, learn how to spell you stupid twat.

  • @KarlT01

A dodeg Challenger V6 will always be better than your twat car lmao haha

  • @vinylcollector08 Awww how cute. Looks like all you drive is some pos Dodge.

  • @KarlT01

its more like POA (Piece of Awesome)

its ok cause the only thing you can afford in life is problaly a piece of shit foreign car and a trip to the health clinic to clear up your venereal disease problem lol

  • There has been a lot of variations in 0-60 times...some mid 7s, some 8+s. What many don't realize (including the testers themselves possibly) is Dodge changed transmissions up and went with a 5spd automatic with the autostick option (even though they still list it as a 4 spd in some literature). They made the change in later 2009, so a few 09s and all 2010s will have the revised gearing. Not here to give any opinions, just thought I'd share what I heard. :)

  • this looks like it would suck to drive. its slow and looks like it will tip over, if you buy one at least get the r/t

  • Apparently youve never driven a car that's built on the LX platform...

  • i can't see how anyone will by this tank

  • BTW - A v6 is cheap enough to bye and drop a hemi in, lol.

  • factory tunes nothing, lowest bidder makes everything. So tune it and remember this - its a V6. I actually think the 5.7 liter manual is the best bye from the 3 SRT8 is still to pricey. Spend the extra money tuning the R/t and you have a SRT8 killer with the lower price tag, plus it has the original R/T emblem in the grill. You can also surprise a bunch of red light drama queen "Mustang & Camaro", lol.

  • hello all people this car is for looks and looks only not performance if you do want performance get a r/t or srt-8

  • Don't knock the S/E it is what it is.Back in 1970 there were 70,000+ Challengers built and guess what? 40,000 of them had 198/225/318 cuin.engines. I personally bought a Hemi Ram instead of this or the R/T, it was cheaper.

  • kool just turbo the beast.

  • I'm buying a 2010 SE next year myself. It's a gorgeous car and very affordable. It's obviously not a performance car, but I think this model fills the role of luxury coupe with style.

  • Oh, and wait. You can't just drop a V10 in this car. You need the transmission, ecu, wiring harness, alot of custom fabrication for motor mounts and subframe, and probably fuel pump, electric radiator fans, that's way more trouble than just spending 10 grand more and then putting a $5,000 supercharger on the 6.1 and having the same amount of power, that's just retarded. You people need to be slapped!

  • Americans don't use the word "rubbish", we use the word "shit".

  • @sovereign2 Not on television you don't.

  • You do know that the V6 has more horsepower than majority of the engines in the 1960's and 1970's Challengers, right?

  • You're right on numbers , but in seat of the pants the six is missing torque---- and in reality you only feel torque not horsepower. The six should be dropped in favour of the 4.7 litre V-8 -- that would be an affordable alternative, and kick some ass .The automatics shift realy early for fuel economy so they feel sluggish as hell-- and who shifts an automatic by hand anyway.

  • me lol

  • i think this one is a big no no.......a muscle car like this should SOUND .......if i couldnt afford the srt8 i woudn´t buy this car at all then.

  • This is a great looking car.I would buy one tomorrow--- but that V-6 is tuned way too much for economy------I dont want the 5.7 as it costs 10 grand more ------- Dodge do us a favour drop in a 4.7 for a grand more than the base car ---- there would be more than enough torque to satisfy 99 % of your customers --- then you could call it an SXT H. O or something sexy like that.

Even when they have a good car Dodge can't wait to screw it up--- Remember the first Challenger only lasted 4 years

  • I don't drive fast and I don't want to drive fast.. so that's why I bought a Challenger SE.. all show no go.

  • I was thinking the same, but........ You gotta have some power in a big car. I have a wlalker p. chrysler signeture series 300 I clone to an srt8. I'm puting about 315 out the motor now and I'm still not happy. Everybody thinks its an srt8. but its not. I have a mint 71 buick skylark that I'm trying to sell at a loss to get the r/t challenger. If I can go frm 250hp to over 300hp for less than 1,500$ in a v6 then I know I'll get 400 hp out of the r/t for the same money. bad choice (if you had $)

  • Ya know.....if horseshit were brains you'd all be fucking Einstein. Mustang....has the Shelby....also has the V6 version. Camaro.....has the SS and RS......also has the V6 version. Why not Dodge? R/T has the MDS system. 4 cylinders when not under load. 26 - 28 on the highway no sweat. V8Hemi when you want it. Fun. Vettes are a dime a dozen on the street. Nobody even looks twice anymore. Z06's ...way faster, you bet! cost twice as much...they should be. Still look like vacuum cleaner.

  • and the gto's look like a bar of soap on wheels! GM killed the Impala name plate with this 2000 and up version!

Looks and power mopar has it hands down now. But If Gm brings out a big body 2010 2011 Impala? OMG! The market will be cornered. The pontiac G8 was to be the grand prix, that would of been better but they changed the name. The g8's are small but nice with nuts.

  • I want to get the SE so bad right now, just to have the CHALLENGER is what i want, i dont want the instant performance of the srt or r/t because they are just too much money, besides when i get the SE, eventually, i hope to get the money to swap out the engine with the dodge viper's massive SRT10 8.2L 600hp heart anyway... so there'd be no point in buying a srt 8 im my eyes, maybe the rt but i wouldnt race like my brother, so all i would have to do is save up, besides no one will steal a SE imo

  • The v-10 costs $20,000 and is priced that way to justify the cost of the Viper--- save your cash and drop in a small block -- it will drive better and blow most of these Johny come lately smogger motors -- into the weeds.Trust me a high compression 340 under the hood is better than sex ----- and lasts longer.

The drop in should be a snap----- That's what I'll be doing next year.

  • the v-10 engine from the viper cost 20grand? is that a lot of money for a 600hp engine, or is that just straight up expensive? imo it doesnt sound so bad, i guess i could get the R/T just because it's manual (i like driving stick cars) instead of the SE, or hopefully by the time i have money to afford either they will make an SE manual so i can save 10000$ and just save up from there... Challenger is the coolest vehicle ever, my all-time favorite car

  • either way the challnger looks 10x bettter

  • I like the looks of the Challenger but the Camaro in this range has a 300hp V6.

  • I like the looks of the Challenger but the Camaro has 300hp V6.

  • Nice to see a test of the six, which is probably what many of the Challengers on the road have. Wonder if it's hard to swap the engine out for something with more power. Shame about the weight too...

  • it me it would hae been nice to see the whole line of Challengers 3-400 lbs lighter.

  • yeahh nice burnout wow who would by this model, the srt8 now i would by tht

  • People who can't afford the SRT-8 model will buy this car because of the style. Its the best looking car for the money on the road these days.

  • Hi there. Please report to room 223 (cocksucking).

  • oh and i suppose you think this car performs well too, right?

  • Oh, and I suppose you think it's a piece of shit right?

Tisk tisk opposite ends of the spectrum.

  • No ,not at all, Actually if you look a mpgomatic's video of the Dodge Challenger SE i had some positive things to say about it.

i just figured you were gonna try to over-glorify this car like you normally do with American cars.....

  • No not at all but I do generally have the mindset that I prefer American cars over Japanese. To me companies like Toyota make ugly cars and that's where it ends. I don't care about their famed "reliability" when they can't make a car pleasing to my eyes. The reason I glorify these cars is because they have a NICE look, which is something positive I can say over the Japs.

  • well atleast i can agree with you on that standpoint

  • So true. This is the first car in years that I actually want to drive. due to the looks.

  • Edmunds review on Toy. Camry: Camrys are front-drive and the standard engine on all trim levels is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder rated for 158 hp &161 tq. 0-60 in 9.3 sec.

    V6 is indeed better at 265 hp & 248 tq. 0-60 in 6.8 sec.

So "NO" 4 cyl. Camry is not faster. But even if it is. It's a plain Camry. I would rather be in a V6 Challenger.

  • For Somone not wanting to spend alot of money but wants the look, this is your challenger. Though From a fast muscle car point of view, I cringe to even call this a Challenger. My GMC Acadia can beat this car. Going 0-60 in 8 flat. For those not wanting to spend a fortune on gas, just get the RT it can get up to 25 mpg and its a real muscle car with a V8 HEMI. Thats what Iam getting. Also with a few mods the RT can beat the SRT8.

  • Comment removed

  • I never thought I'd say this, but now even a Ford Taurus can beat a base Challenger to 60mph.

  • daammm this thing is slow. and a heavy ass car.

  • only 250hp my dad has 426hp

  • this thing is so fuckin slow my dads minivan is faster than this no joke

  • Well I bought it for fuel economy, and looks, I drive alot, and dont care for the hemi, its not the greatest anyways, I ve had my share of V8's, if I want somthing with a V8 ill buy somthing else, "this is my daily cruser. its actualy not that slow, they are testing a none broken in motor on 87oct probley, I have 16000km, i run 92 to 94 oct all the time, it runs mint on that, and mobile 1 syn, it has enough get up and go for the city. if u dont have one, fuck off!!

  • This is the fag version. You have wonderful cars in america, specially this one, how could they sell this kind of car with a so tiny engine !!!!!!!!!!!! If the car was 1 ton , 1 ton 200, ok no problem but with this weight... I really don't understand the purpose

  • the purpose is to get more customers. This is because many people can not afford the big V8, inssurance and gas.

    its simple no?

  • Whouuahou, if you took the time to read correctly my comment , i said " i really don't UNDERSTAND the purpose" and did not say " i don't know why"... Do you really think i'm that stupid? Of course it's to get more customers dumbass. What i was trying to say is that those tiny engines must be banned for those kind of cars. And if you cannot afford the V8, buy a small and awful japanese car...or a Smart.

  • He told you what the purpose was moron, either way you ask it you get the same answer. I for one would rather see 25000 new v6 challengers produced then 25k camarys.

  • I didn't ask for your opinion and you know why? Because i really don't give a f...

And i prefer 1 v8 challenger produced than 25 000 V6... You see, welcome to the moron club. :p broke !

  • @helorm341 I for one would rather see 25000 new v6 challengers produced then 25k camarys.........yea? in 10 years all the Camry's ( not camArys YOU moron ) are still going to be going down the road just fine and the far majority of the challengers are going to be in shops all the time! BET

  • @hemet92544 at least challengers floor mats dont get wedged under the gas and the breaks dont go out camrys reliablity has no room to talk when they have had the most recalls

  • @hemet92544 All cars are reliable these days for 10 years. It's not be anything for a new challenger or other $20k+ cars. In 20 years, those challengers will probably be mostly beat up and most of the camrys will still be running decently

The difference is that 25,000 of those people who owned challengers will have gotten great enjoyment and fun out of their cars. You will be lucky if 1 in those 25,000 camrys gave their owners fun and enjoyment.

    Camry are "soulless" appliances

  • i agree 100% ppl dont have money these days for the costly 15mpg , big ass v8 version

  • I love the look of the Challenger, but the 59.5mph salom test by edmunds is worse than a nissan cube....

  • hahahaaha

  • a fucking V6 with 250 HP??? Damn it sucks

  • Compared To Other Test Runs Ive Seen Online, This Is By Far The Slowest..

  • So, its not the fastest... With $ 4.00+ gas price comming this summer I'll take the v6. It would make a nice family car

  • amen brother

  • That quarter mile time is flat out HORRIBLE!! Man, I think it is the slowest "performance" V6 car being made... Someone name one slower to correct me here.

  • Mine mustang v6 time was 6.9 when it was stock. Also automatic

  • Yea its the v6, but why are the mustang v6 and camaro v6 much faster? An 8.1 second 0-60 is horrible. Thats slower than an fj cruiser's 0-60 time.

  • Well for one thing this Challenger weighs close to 2 TONS (4000LBS!!!). I'm more impressed with just 250 hp in the v6 that this thing can even move faster then 9 seconds.

I'd rather take the Mustang with 40 less hp and 5,000 less lbs... Just goes to show how much weight can make a difference.

  • For $20k the base s/e may be slow but buying a car in that price range gets you what? a chevy cobalt? 4cyl mitsubishi? at least its a good looking car thats affordable. and with a few simple mods the car will go better. this one is bogged down with all the epa crap and bone stock. when was the last time you saw a bone stock car on a 1/4, the car has a lineage and class

  • I can't see why people would complain about the Challenger V6. Peep my verbs: This is way better than my POS Mitsubishi Lancer ES! If you want speed, get a SRT-8 or even better, get a motorcycle.

  • COOL

  • fuuuuuuuuuck dats slow

  • These are great cars, in the higher models, but sadly, my sunfire beats this thing in 0-60, and my sunfire is a piece of shit.

  • That is horrible. 0 to 60 in 8.1 seconds? What the fuck did they design here?

  • its v6

  • oh no 8.1 seconds just how is that slow. You want slow try a 78 Monarch with a 250 six. 21 seconds are a volkwagen bug 29 seconds.

  • it wasent designed to be a fucken race car, it a affordable fuel saving car, thats why theres 3 versons, se / r/t and srt8

  • thank you thats exactly what these stupid fucking youtbers need to understand

  • I dont need this car, I can pick up plenty of chicks on the bus

  • 16.1 quarter? Dodge just dosent care anymore.

  • It's the 6 cylinder version. If you want fast, you get the V8.

  • its the v6

  • this car sucks my 98 camaro smokes this junk. N who wants an auto

  • oh man! those are terrible numbers i guess for a heavy muscle car its expected, for the same price i rather get the genesis coupe v6 base model 0-60 under 6 sec or the 2.0T track model at 6.8 sec.

I wonder how the camaro v6 will perform?....

  • haha its the slower one

  • I own a 2009 SXT Challenger

SXT is a Canada only model which is a better performer then the SE. This is a great car... I have smashed Mustanges and CTS's with my car. Its a V-6 SOHC High output 250hp 250LB torq. One this that SXT has that no SE will have is the Traction Control (ESP)

Great car.. good on fuel, its no money saver but running around 8L / 100km or 35MPG.

and with some small additions like cold air filter and adding the cat back exhaust you will get more power and better MPG's

  • Time to burst your bubble:

The Challenger is rated to deliver 17/25 mpg, if you smashed V6 Chicktangs or CTS's, that isn't anything to be proud of, and I wouldn't go bragging about your 250hp SOHC V6 to anyone.

  • 'AndrewSherlock"... When my '99 Grand Prix GTP was stock, it would spank your SOHC V6 Challenger! GTP, 240hp./280tq. pushrod V6. 1/4 mile 14.7, 0-60 6.5, weighs 3,400 lbs. (not 4,100 like your SXT) and i bet i still have more options!

  • pushrod? i think we know what kind of motors are in 99% of cars.

thats all the GTP has 240hp supercharged, that sucks, i raced the newer montie carlo ss and we were even, we backed off, after certin speed, but still! Idought that u "spanked" the challenger, and the weight is 3740,

  • "02mp"... My car is still faster stock for stock, why are you doubting the facts?! Yes my car has a pushrod... Don't waste my fucking time with your ignorance!

  • "02mp"... And yours has only 250hp., what's your point?! The newer Monte Carlo SS with the V8 would kill your car hands down, you are just plain stupid!!!!! Blame Canada!!!

  • isn't pontiacmuscle kind of an oxymoron?

  • Actually the 3.8 240 hp V6 in the GP GTP got that car to 60 in 6.9 seconds. That is a lot faster than this Challenger. Also the 5.7 303 hp V8 in the Monte would get that to 60 in 5.9 seconds. The main problem with this car is the transmission coupled with the weight, and the very un-even weight distribution. My G6 GTP with only 2 more HP gets my car to 60 in 6.6 seconds and my cars weighs almost as much as this one.

  • my 2008 charger would spank it

  • On a side not, so many of you seem to have money to burn its a shock the economy is this bad. Why not move up to the CTS-V for luxury/speed, or the viper and call it a day if your that stacked. I'd buy this car, you cant beat the look for that price

  • Thats right!

  • Slow or not it is still a cool looking car. I've spent the last three years in an expensive sports car that cooks and I can't tell you the last time I drag raced. You know why, because only teens in their daddys car or douche bags drag race. Id rather keep my license.

  • well, you don't have to lose your license to drag race, simply go to your local track where it's legal to race.

  • MY 1990 CAMRY GETS 0-60 IN 9 SECONDS

  • omfg. I hope anyone with brains does not get the se version because thats not a muscle car. Civics would have the right to make fun of it because most VTEC cars would smoke it. Go for the SRT-8 or just the RT version. those are the real muscle cars.

  • dont buy se buy R/T or SRT !!! se sick

  • challenger srt-8 rules !!! fuck se

  • Why cant it come with manual transmission

  • cause dodge is gay, that's why

  • cz manual will be hestory thats why u dick

  • put some fatties on the car and it will slolom and brake much better.

  • all of the challenger models look the same!!!

  • Wow, almost as impressive as my old non-turbo 86 300ZX.

  • im getting the SXT AWD -- any external/appearance upgrades I could get to it??

  • This car costs only $22,000. Pretty much same body as the V8 kind and comes with 17 inch wheels stock.

It looks way better than any V6 Mustang or POS scion.

This is coming from someone who has owned Lexus, Nissan, Acura, and Mitsubishi for years.

My last American car was in 1997...if these are reliable and durable they will sell.

  • i wasn't talking about a generic mustang! the challenger has independent rear suspension and the r/t is specially tuned and handles as good as the smaller mustang. the mustang is also a lot weaker he motor sounds bad and has no torque. even though the challenger r/t is 550 lbs heavier than the gt mustang it is still a tenth quicker in the 1/4 mile.

  • Thinkin I should have got the R/T but it was 10,000.00 USD more for the R/T. Ill settle for SE for now.

  • chrysler is thinking to improve the challenger se by putting a manual transmission or more hp but they cant do it right know b/c of the economy

  • I'd buy an SE if it had a stick.

  • This will replace the 300 touring models. These challenger se's will now have 22 inch rims on bags.

  • 0-60 8.1 seconds? That is pretty pathetic numbers. The Honda civic si is cheaper and does 0-60 in 6.7 seconds.

  • ppham444, but its a CIVIC!

  • True but I'll take RWD over FWD any day of the week.

  • Someone like me who is 20 and is leaving in uk where Fuel and insurance is my god expensive, u spend a 1000$ to get mbrp exhaust and spend a few hundred dollars to get the looks of srt8 bby putting racing stripes and etc.. !!!!

  • Camaro V6 is more powerful and more fuel efficient going 0-60 in 6 seconds. It also has way better handling. No disrespect dodge holdin it down

  • true, but the v6 challenger is just a cheap ass cool-lookin car that's its only purpose. the challenger r/t dominates the camaro in all aspects handling performance etc...

  • Seriously, what are you smoking that makes you think the Challenger has good handling? Whatever it is, you've gotta get me some...Shit, my live rear axle Mustang GT can smoke an R/T.

  • you wish i saw a video of an old challenger kicking the ass off of a corvette and a mustang on top of that you are probably just saying that because you want to feel good about your mustang even though ford keeps repeating the design. IF ou don't like the challenger don't watch this video

  • Repeating the design? Lol are you retarded or something?! I guess redesigning the entire exterior and interior for 2010 doesn't count either.

  • yeah if you haven't noticed the 2010 looks extremely familiar to 2009

  • Durrrrrrrr! Holy shit you really must be retarded. No car company is going to completely redesign a car after a 5 year run; it's too cost-ineffective.

  • picked one up today. Something wrong with the gas gauge. Its stuck on Full.lol Used to monster V8s XD

  • they upset me when they made this car an im not saying im upset about the car im just saying how are they gonna make the 2009 version look so similar to the old version when the new charger doesnt look like the old one to me at all...maybe i should just get over it....

  • Hp numbers are not how they use to be. cars today only reach the advertised hp number when at max rpm. In the old days a car with 300 hp had it from the start at the lower rpms.

  • Everyone bitches about the S/Es performance numbers....SO WHAT! The majority of original Challengers sold from 1970-74,were slant-six/318 cars with less HP than this version! For a daily driver who wants to shell out 40+ Grand for an SRT-8!Besides a Supercharger or Turbo kit and a good exhaust, would wake an S/E up!

  • I agree, I have a '09 SRT 6.1 and a '1971 340 R/T Challenger. The HP on the 6 cyl. is impresive

  • coming soon to a sleazy used car lot near you. parked next to the PT's and neons

  • I won't argue about price, but man, that thing is just DANGEROUS, that car weights as much as a bus and can't stop for shit. would look nice with some nice rims tho

  • Dodge, why? a V6 Challenger? That's pathetic, now it's going to be so affordable and everyone is going to think it's so economical that it's going to become the next Charger or Mustang out there.

    One at every damn turn.

Should've kept it unique, SRT8's only and just the first 6,400 originals for 2008.

  • I agree. Just like the V6 Chargers? WTF? I hate seeing V6 Chargers. They're getting all to common now. When I think of a Challenger or Charger, I think of a high horsepower 1/4 mile monster. Not a 0-60 in 8 second car. I'm not a fan of the SE versions. SRT-8 and even the R/T. But if it doesn't have a hemi it shouldn't be an option.

  • If only that v6 came with a manual transmission. It is a good budget minded fun car, but until I could get a manual with that v6, I wouldn't but it.

  • anyone but me feel that if i were to purchase a challenger itd be worth going for the srt8? i mean if you want challenger body and style and you dont need performance then yes SE wuold be ok and same goes for RT which has good performance too. im just sayin an RT or SRT challenger if i had too then if you own an SE after a ricers beats you he thinks he beat a 6.1L hemi.

  • haha so true. the V6 mustangs are getting their ass kiced all the time by little ricers and they think they beat a V8, especially those GT look alike, V6 pony package lol

  • i have an sxt magnum and an srt8, so what i did was i decided to do flowmasters on the sxt and one time an STI beat me and i bet all the money ive got he thought it was a hemi lol ive taken an sti before with my srt and it sure didnt beat me :-)

  • mustange gt's are garbage against my srt-4. im a tuner not a ricer

  • i look at it this way. i could afford it and it does a hell of a good job to what it is limited to

  • hell,

    id still drive it

  • should have offered a stick..chevy and ford do

  • because it weighs s much as a full sized pick-up truck

  • 8.1 0-60? *sigh* how can it be slower then the other Chrysler 3.5 options?
