This is great. I remember an almost identical ending. The door opens and Angel sees his father. There is then a cut to the window of the building from outside and an explosion.
Holocaust 2000 a.k.a. The Chosen (1978 Italian-British) Starring Kirk Douglas who slowly discovers his son Simon Ward (actor name) is the antichrist. So, at the end of the movie Kirk kills his son to save the world. Low-buget, but not a bad flim. And YES, the other version ending was great!
And if you like Kirk in odd movies, see "Saturn 3"; a weird sci-fi 1980 British film with Harvey Keitel and Farrah Fawcett
The "short ending" makes absolutely no sense...kudos to Kirk Douglas to show us how to deal with Satanic manifestations...by turning yourself into a suicide kamikaze bomber!!!! :-D
