  • Played this as a postlude at my church this past Sunday and it was a major success. People loved it!

  • Wonderful. Thats my Midnight Service sorted out then!!!

  • You guys need better recording equipment! The 240p and whatever camera/audio device you're using doesn't do this great art form justice! Even a simple digital camera with HD video recording and a mic attachment, on a tripod, would be great!

  • Thanks for this.. I love it! :)

  • Great stuff. I am practicing this piece for this coming Christmas.

  • Wonderful to see some New Zealand Organists!!! Bless you for posting and greetings from Wellington.

  • Słyszałem ten utwór na zakończenie mszy Bazylice św.Mikołaja w Bochni, rewelacja

  • Nothing can beat the sound of a church organ

  • @bingoace 'The organ console consists of six manuals with an array of stops and controls that command the organ. The organ's String Division forms the largest single organ chamber in the world. The instrument features eighty-eight ranks of string pipes The organ is famed for its orchestra-like sound, coming from pipes that are voiced softer than usual, allowing an unusually rich build-up because of the massing of pipe-tone families.

  • @bingoace Nothing can beat the sound of a church organ"

I guess you mean a cathedral organ. Most of them are truly awesome but the new churches built these days can't afford anything else other than an electronic organ which just don't have enough power to compete with a big pipe organ. Macy's store in Philadelphia previously Wannamaker's s the largest operational pipe organ in the world. It has 28,543 pipes in 462 ranks listen to it here /watch?v=1_8cqFtnU1I

  • @bingoace The info about Macy's organ came from Wikipedia

  • Beautiful work! Excellent improvisation!

  • thats actually brilliant!

  • Nice arrangement. I like it.

Where is the sheet music for this?

  • Can you get sheet music for this?

  • I will send it to you, if you like!

  • Since it is still available, it wouldn't be fair to photocopy it - let alone legal!

  • EXPLOSIVE and out of the world!! PHEW!!

    WELL DONE!!

  • Wow! Chills up my spine! I believe the pipe organ is the best instrument there is!

  • I love this song. :) I'm a bit confused by the sibelius music on the linked website, it shows all but the last few (most important) measures of each movement. What should I do?

  • You are supposed to buy the sheet music to get the missing measures.

  • Yes, but I can't determine how to on that website.

  • her song is wrong thats not joy to the world

  • oh yes it is!

  • Listen to the pedel line...that gives it away easily.

  • I'm still trying to find this arrangement but under the so named on the provided website it's not there, any thoughts?

  • NIce work :D

  • WOW, that is really great! I love it.

  • Hello Mr. Setchell!

I live in Germany next to Mühlacker where you're going to give an organconcert in june. I'll try to be there to listen to you. I've worked at Rieger's for several months - good instruments!!! Your posted videos are great, good stuff from a professional - not like most of the others...

How do I get a partition of this piece? It's difficult to play but not but impossible... Haven't found it in the german stores, can you help me?

    Greetings, Toby

  • This is my favorite song since I started organ. EXCELLENT! I got the three piece suite for a grad present so I could play it, and I love it!!!

    Thanks for postings.

  • Thanks for posting that - what a neat grad present! It's actually nice to be able to see how the composer plays their own pieces, as here. Martin loves to hear when people play his stuff...

  • WOOW! he/she rocks playing that!

  • God this is SOOO beautiful!!!

  • A+ You did your homework!

  • wow, rieger organ...

  • What a blast!

    Very enjoyable--adroit and satisfying.

    Kudos to the composer/performer.

  • incredible!

  • Wait till you see the Grison Toccata Rick!! It makes this look like Grade one material...

(Just uploading the Grison now - should be ready very soon.)

  • I've heard this piece a hundred times on my iPod so it was a treat to actually see a performance. The video was great, showing Martin as he makes the difficult look easy - the mark of a true virtuoso.

    Rick Taft
