Good job Paladino don't apologize! You shouldn't have to apologize for your own opinion, if you don't want to accept homosexuality into your life you don't have to!
@Doinitbig112 how does that make gay people selfish? why cant homosexuals have rights? i know plenty of people with gay parents who have never been bullied about it once in their life. and for you to use the word "disgusting" is totally ignorant and disrespectful. you are a moron and you fall right in the same category as a racist.
@iamlikesuperman - Show me anywhere in the USA where gays cannot get jobs, have been denied access to healthcare or housing based on their sexual orientation. GBLTs are less healthy, suffer from more diseases and intestinal parasites than straight people do, and live on average 13.5 years less than heterosexual men. GBLTs now contribute 61% of all new AIDS cases ANNUALLY in the USA, yet they are only 2% of the population. Homosexuality is not normal, no matter how you slice it.
The issue is that they don't want to allow Parents with religious objections to have their kids pulled out of activities that confirm homosexuality as an appropriate lifestyle.
Paladino is only sensitive to the votes of a ultra-orthodox Jewish community led by rabbi Levin and this makes of him nothing but a hypocrite opportunist.
You're right, Paladino, it IS a difficult life because of the discrimination they face....from hypocritical fucktards like you! So guess what? DON'T discriminate against gay people and if today's children grow up to be gay, their lives won't be any more difficult than anyone else's. Common sense.
Marriage is between a man and a woman. It is not okay for a man to beat on a woman, but they an get married. It is not okay for them to populate and abuse their children, but just so long the child is not a bastard. But its not okay when two souls of the same sex find each other and want to have a normal life like a straight couple. Our children will be bastard, we will be condemed for not only same sex relations, but out of wed-lock. But its okay becuase people are scared. Scared of what? :-/
@blumenthol LMFAO. Oh my god, the hipocracy in your words! So, tell me my young friend. What are pornographic videos on men and women, that you see everywhere, called? Surely not innocent! And, If I've seen my healthy portion of porn videos, then men and women (straight couples mind you) ALSO have anal penetration. (And if you dont know what that means, simply it means they do it in the 'butt') even though the woman they're with has a NATURAL opening.
did god say homosexuality was wrong or did whoever writing the particular version of the bible is current these days. people always wanna get all holier than thou about the bible says this and that but never want to live by the postitive be a good person, respect your fellow man, and mind ya damn business part.live and let live theres bigger issues besides being gay or not which will never go anywhere if ur hung up on the dumb shit. A true straight man would just say...o well more chicks for me
@taxmino You really are an idiot. Conservatives are the real racists here. The tea party members chanted the N word and even spat in a black congresman's face.
Paladino,a poster child Republican and Catholic,..Well,we don't have to look far for stories about Republican hypocrites who preach anti-Gay sentiment and then it's later revealed that they are the leading player in a Gay sex scandal. As for Catholics who systematically look the other way as a number of priests example predator-like behavior and scar young boys, despite their beliefs they also have a laughable rate of DIVORCE Perhaps Catholics and Republicans should be denied the right to marry.
the word homophobe hints that there is fear of them which is wrong. If someone disagrees with homosexuality, they get called a homophobe. stop comparing the gay movement to the civil rights movement or womens suffrage. thats bull. you are born whatever race you are or sex you are but there no proof that you are born gay. you may be born bent toward lust, violence, homosexuality but that doesnt make it right. and theres a lot of ignorance but fighting fire ignorance with ignorance solves nothing
@chaserjamess there's also no proof there isn't a God. but considering that most of the world believes God is real and homosexuality is wrong, lets stick to the issues.
@awretchlikebruce Fine, let's stick to the issues then. How can you NOT compare this to the civil rights movement when it is clearly a civil rights issue. DEFINITION - Civil and political rights are a class of rights that protect individuals' freedom from unwarranted infringement by governments and private organizations, and ensure one's ability to participate in the CIVIL and political life of the state without discrimination or repression. That includes sexual orientation, genius.
@clockwork2345 i was referring to THE Civil Rights movement when african americans fought for there right to be treated like equals. Thats a huge difference. Homosexuals don't drink from separate water fountains or sit at the back of buses. They want the right to violate a union set up from a religious standpoint. the issue lies between church and state. but i hate that when someone says they don't agree, they are thrown under the bus.
@awretchlikebruce I understood what you meant, I'm just saying that both causes have strong parallels. They're not exactly the same in the details, but both groups wanted the same rights that other americans enjoyed. And gays don't want to violate the union of marriage, they just want to be able to enjoy the right as the rest of us do. And when people can't seem to grasp that, of course they tend to get thrown under the bus. It's not like they want any EXTRA rights then you have.
@clockwork2345 the problem here isnt that Paladino or most people who disagree with homosexuality are discriminating but it lies in the fact the something of the church lies within the legal system. Your stance depends on whether you follow the Bible as your foundation of government or not.
@awretchlikebruce I'm don't know where you live, but the United States does not have an established government religion, but allows individuals to believe different things. There are some of us whose religious beliefs support across the board equality, in word and deed, for all Americans. Where are our First Amendment rights?
@Jesterswords I'm from New York. The United States was founded on the religion of Christianity, therefore the Bible is where we obtained the views of marriage. Yes everyone has the right to speak freely and practice whatever they please. But considering most of the US claims Christianity as their practicing religion, when everyone expresses that free speech it will probably lean the way of the Bible.
@awretchlikebruce Well, if you're an American, you should have a better understanding of the US Constitution, not to mention the particular religion you tout. Marriage as it relates to contracts issued by the government isn't biblical. And the Episcopalian, Methodists, and Lutheran denominations of Christianity, as well as Unitarians, all support same sex marriage. So are First Amendment rights only granted to those you agree with?
@Jesterswords actually i dont care what denominations have fell to peer pressure but the Bible has stood its ground on homosexuality. I follow the Bible, not the pope, Billy Graham, or Oprah. I follow the source of Christianity not the followers.
@awretchlikebruce Also, just so you know...Leviticus 19:28 reads, “You shall not make any cuts in your body for the dead nor make any tattoo marks on yourselves: I am the Lord.” Yet I notice both you and your bass player conveniently overlooked that one too. To me Dude, you're just some dumb kid that doesn't know sh*t about sh*t. Homosexuality makes you feel icky, so you just don't like it. Period. When you grow up a bit, you'll use your mind a bit more. You'll be a better christian for it.
@clockwork2345 yes leviticus was old testament law and it was referring to a cult who believed they could communicate with the dead through these tattoos. those laws were to set the jews apart as a people. There are verses in the new testament referring to homosexuality as wrong too (1 cor 6:9-10). I am 24. I'm not a kid. and i don't understand how on a rant about discrimination, i get all the persecution. "I'll be a better christian for it?" pretty judgemental for a nonjudgemental advocate.
@awretchlikebruce "judge not, lest ye be judged" "he that is without sin, let him cast the first stone" Clearly, you pick and chose what to believe in, just like everyone else.
@Jesterswords totally out of context and i'm not judging. if a judge says someone is guilty and u say they are guilty are u judging them? the judgement has been placed. read back through the comments
@awretchlikebruce I'll also add that the Constitution expressly states, in the 11th Amendment, that the rights of the minority shall not be infringed upon by the majority. Our leaders are hired by votes, our rights and our laws are not. So it really is of no consequence what "most" people think on this matter. If you don't think gay marriage is right, you don't have to get one. See there? You're rights are preserved.
@Jesterswords But it infringes on the thing true Christians found their lives upon. and considering most of the US (most of which rarely follow the Bible but still claim it as their guide) will fight this, this is how things look. I personally hate this issue way more than any right wing nut job could ever hate a homosexual
@awretchlikebruce Just to be clear here, I disagree with your statement that we should "stop comparing gay rights to the civil rights movement of womens sufferage...there is no proof you are born gay." So based on this "no proof" theory, you advocate that gays rights SHOULD be violated...even though you have no proof of your own to back up your reasons. You're not gay, so how do you know? Guilty until proven innocent? Decisions made from ignorance? Is that how the country should be run?
@clockwork2345 We aren't restricting rights because the right for 2 people of the same sex to marry was never given. You could use the "you're not ____ so you dont know" argument against anything. But honestly it doesn't matter. The debate is a church and state problem. The church won't cave and neither will Homosexuals. Someone's rights will be violated either way.
@awretchlikebruce It matters. If everyone who believes the things you do continue to keep their heads in the sand and follow a book INTERPRETED by imperfect human beings, then wrongs like this will never be changed. The bible is not law, nor is it the direct voice of God. Do you honestly think that God wants this? Evil, by definition, is the opposite of good. What good do you bring to the world by infringing on thier rights? Honestly, how are you helping your fellow man in what you think?
@clockwork2345 a book written by over 40 flawed authors from all walks of life over 1500 years in 3 languages over 3 continents and yet reads as one book and has thousands of prophecies. whatever. and God was pretty straightforward when he lumped homosexuality in with greed, sexual immorality, adultery, etc. I don't think hes "down" with same sex marraige. I think God could care less about a pointless youtube conversation too.
@awretchlikebruce Well, if the bible is the word of God as you so clearly state, then he was also pretty straightforward in that you should cut off your wifes hand if she touches another mans genitals, even if she does so as an attack to defend her husband. Do you follow that blindly without using your own brain cause it says so in the bible? Or do you just pick and choose based on what suits your own close-minded view of right and wrong? God help your GF then, cause she loves touching mine!
@clockwork2345 1 i'm single. 2 thats a ignorant statement for someone having a rational argument against discrimination. and they were again listing old testament laws to set the people apart from the other cultures. we are no longer bound by old testament law.
@awretchlikebruce So you DO pick and choose. Tell me, how do you know what parts of the bible are the word of God and what parts are ok to ignore and not be bound by? After your last statements, you clearly left the road of the rational arguement in favor of the irrational "it says so in the bible so I follow it" arguement...lol, so yes, I decided to have a little fun with it. Oh and what does it say in the bible? Judge not lest ye be judged? I guess you don't like that one either.
@clockwork2345 the old testament law came was there to set God's people apart. When Jesus came saying basically "thats not necessary because I came am making it possible for everyone to have relationship with God." and how about twist not scripture lest ye be Satan. that is out of context to the extreme and I lay myself out there to be judged (hence awretchlikebruce) I'm a sinner and just because i think homosexuality is wrong doesn't mean i think its worse than other sins. we're all guilty
@awretchlikebruce You win Bruce...like all christians without valid, logical and factual reasons to back up what they believe, you've exhausted me with your circular arguement style. If you ever have kids, God help them if one of 'em turn out to be gay, that's all I'm sayin...cause you're gonna f*ck them up big time. But I guess God WON'T help them, cause they're gay. Right? Damn, I guess they're screwed then.
@clockwork2345 i believe people can be born bent toward a sin such as violence lust or homosexuality but its following up on those that makes it wrong. plus if i have a son he's gonna come out of the womb with a beard, eating beef jerky.
@awretchlikebruce It's too bad that there is no room in your arguements for the possibility you MIGHT be wrong, which is why I really do hope you don't have any gay kids. Just imagine for a second that you might be wrong in your belief about homosexuality, and how hard you'd make your childs life by instilling a belief that how they're made, something that they have no control over, is wrong. Hey maybe I'm wrong, but if I am, at least my beliefs don't hurt anyone. Yours do. How Christian of you
@clockwork2345 well the fact is lies hurt everyone and whoever is wrong is spreading them. and considering i believe the bible is infallible and it says its wrong, then I put a lot of confidence in not being wrong. but i'm sorry you have been hurt by Christians so much that u have this much hostility toward me. and i sincerely do mean that apology
@awretchlikebruce My only problem with you and people like you is that you try and feed us sh*t and call it ice cream, just so you can bitch about being thrown under the bus when we don't like what you're serving. You're a bigot. An egocentric bigot...and you can deny it all you want, but your words paint the picture better then I ever could. I AM a Christian, and Christians like you embarress me. This is just what it looks like when a Christian places being a good person above words in a book.
@clockwork2345 i havent judged you yet u havent stopped judging me. I haven't pressured u to follow anything. You don't even know me yet u think i'm egocentric. A Christian is a Christ follower and u are talking about me picking and choosing verses to follow but you overlook the verses you don't like. (homosexuality) if you want to go off evidence, you are a judgemental hypocrite. at least I know what I believe and call myself a Christian because I follow Christ no matter what society says
@awretchlikebruce I challenge you to quote any hypocricy in what I've said. I never said I followed the bible blindly as you have said. I DO pick and choose because I use the bible as a guide to help me be a good person, not as a set of marching papers. I use my mind to make decisions for myself. You're egocentric because you understand and interpret the world in terms of the self. YOU believe homosexuality is wrong (because of what YOU'VE read, how YOU feel...etc) so therefore it MUST be wrong.
@clockwork2345 The Bible was never meant to be a guide to being a good person. the message is that no one is good and we all need God. Your mind is what God has given you and no river runs higher than its source. I go off what i have READ because theres no greater source. the heart is deceitful so what i believe is irrelevant. but someone who picks and chooses what they want isn't really following. God isnt a buffet. He's either infinitely right or he's wrong, flawed and not worth following
@awretchlikebruce And I ain't pressuring you to follow anything you don't want to. Not in the way your beliefs expect homosexuals to conform to you and yours. You be as Christain as you want to be. I'm just calling bullsh*t on you acting like your beliefs aren't intolerant. They clearly are. I'm not even asking you to NOT be intolerant. It's your right to be. If you don't care that your beliefs reinforce a negative stereotype that gets kids beat up, then you're free to be a douche, I guess.
@clockwork2345 also its really sad you need a spiritual miracle to believe that God is God. its not enough that thousands of prophecies have came true but u need God to sit u down and read it to you? faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Check out "The case for faith" by lee strobel but chances are you aren't really looking for anything because it may actually take a risk to believe in ... well something
@awretchlikebruce Rude? Yes, saying your GF likes my crotch WAS rude. Intolerant? Show me where. I've never told you NOT to do anything. You're free to do as you like. I've only pointed out what I consider bullsh*t in your stance against gay marriage as far as think following the bible makes you good. I've been honest in my view of you as egotistical and intolerant as shown by your words. I don't need a miracle to believe God is, but I won't follow a book blindly KNOWING its not his words.
@awretchlikebruce And if you come back sayin that the bible is ANYTHING other then a human interpretation of Gods word AT BEST, than you're more far gone then I orignally considered....and I'll just start backing up slowly without any sudden moves. Considering you're willing to follow your interpreted beliefs derived from a book penned thousands of years ago DESPITE what society thinks is a little to "Rifle in a Bell Tower" for me. Oh, and I forgot the ING on "thinking" in that last post FYI.
@clockwork2345 If God is all powerful and created people, as complicated as they are, don't you think he could write a book? and everything we know about history we don't question even though there are thousands more original copies of the bible then there are almost anything. and when has society been a reason not to follow truth? and the mentality of "anyone who believes this is crazy" is a good way to ride someone off when they make u start to think.
@awretchlikebruce Also a good way to write someone off who refuses to see logic and will follow thier beliefs "no matter what". Yes, God COULD write a book, but he didn't. You and I both know He didn't write the bible personally. Come on now. And since there are many ways to view the TRUTH of a situation (looking at it openly from ALL sides) it is VERY important to prioritize socienty if you claim to believe in freedom, patience and compassion. And as yet, you've given me nothing to think about.
@awretchlikebruce But don't get me wrong. I look foward to the post where you DO give me something to think about. So long as it's an arguement that you can back up with fact and logic, and avoid "I do it cause a book told me to", then chances are I'd have to think about it. Your points are just a little too light for me get anything out of. You need to add more meat to them, if you get what I mean. I don't mean that as a put down, but so far you've just not given me anything concrete.
@awretchlikebruce Its like this. If I said to you "hey Bruce...I believe in Faries, and they said to tell you not to play guitar anymore, then if I really expected you to restrict your actions to conform to MY beliefs, I'd HAVE to give you something more concrete then "well, that's just what I believe, so I'm right." You see what I mean? If you want to curb someones freedoms, then the burden IS on you to back it up with the FACTS as to why. If you just EXPECT compliance, that's intolerance.
@clockwork2345 i'm pretty sure theres more evidence of the events in the bible than there are for fairies. thats why I gave u the title of an entire book that dives into that instead of having to fit hundreds of facts into a 500 character statement. Theres the hittite empire, the plagues of pharoah, the famine of josephs day. there are oodles of historic evidence if u are willing to look into them
@awretchlikebruce Agreed. But the fact that the bible contains true depictions of historical events does NOT give weight to the entire content. If I write a book that says the world is round, the sky is blue, and it rains candy every day, the 2 first truths don't factualize the 3rd. The amount of people that believe in the bible don't factualize it either. A million children believing in Santa Claus doesn't make him real. So again, no FACTS as to why gay rights should be penalized.
@clockwork2345 when it comes to moral issues people always have opinions. The bible saying homosexuality is wrong doesn't negate the historical backing of it just because our society thinks its right. If you say the sky is blue, the world is round, and licorice tastes bad that doesnt say anything about the first 2 but if anything, you look at the truth of the first 2 and it should make u look at the 3rd more closely. but you wont come to a conclusion because its a matter of opinion.
@awretchlikebruce Ok...I get it. You follow the bible without question, and that's all I can expect from you. One last question though. If a homosexual couple DOES get a blessing from a branch of Christianity that WILL perform gay marriages (the united church of canada, for example), doesn't God then also bless that union?
@clockwork2345 if homosexuality is wrong then God will not "bless" it no matter who in his name says its ok. Let's say you think it's wrong to wear ascots (which it obviously is) and you see someone wearing one. If someone says "Clockwork totally thinks it's cool to wear ascots. I have 3 on." does that mean u approve of it? Just because people can twist or ignore God's word doesn't change it. it just means those people are willing to change their stance because its politically incorrect
@awretchlikebruce Lol...ok, so if there are churches who will perform a marrige, homosexuals who want them, and a God who can bless or not bless whatever he chooses...why do you (or your branch of christianity) even care? You (the church) are the least qualified and most unnecessary part of the that equation. Look, your church doesn't have to perform them, God clearly doesn't need you to stick up for him, and nobody's making you have one...so why stick your nose where it don't belong?
@clockwork2345 If i believe God doesn't agree with something and I represent God, than it is my obligation to represent Him to the best I know how. and considering God created everyone, that makes the people who really follow him the most qualified. I don't want same sex marriage not because it makes me feel icky or because God made adam and even not adam and steve. It is because when God says something is wrong its because he knows whats best and this will be hurtful if people follow it.
@awretchlikebruce Thing is, GOD has never said it's wrong. Paul said it's wrong. Leviticus has said it's wrong. Roman's has said it's wrong. But God has never walked up to you and said its wrong. And by your own statement, a branch of Christianity that will perform a same sex marriage IS the most qualified (they follow Him, right?). A homosexual christian that believes God made them how they are IS the most qualified. Unless you're stating that it's only YOUR branch that REALLY follows God.
@clockwork2345 I believe an infinite God can write a book. so yes i believe that God through paul stated it is wrong. and just because the majority believes something doesnt make it right, just popular. If some sect of christianity says homosexuality is not a sin they are ignoring the Bible so yes i believe they are wrong. and i seriously don't care about this enough to keep this going. and we check our youtube too much.
@awretchlikebruce That's fine Dude...I'm pretty much done here too. I knew I'd never convince you. But I did want to show that you ARE egotistical to whomever else might be reading or swayed by your way of thinking. Over 15 branches of Christianity, but YOURS is the only right one. When the majority serves you, it's FACT, but when it doesn't, it's popularity. And I knew that no matter how many times I'd ask for FACTS, you'd be unable to bring any. You've served my point better then I ever could.
@awretchlikebruce Ok.... so, if you believe that God hates homosexuals, then I suppose you also believe that "People who have flat noses, or is blind or lame, cannot go to an altar of God" or physics and "wizards" must be stoned to death? How about wearing clothes made by more than one fabric? Do you go by that too?
Or do you just PICK and CHOOSE which verses to live by?
@awretchlikebruce GOD didn't write the Bible. You want to know how I know that? Because an all loving God wouldn't punish people for things that they CAN'T HELP. Come on people, open up your eyes. A study has been done, and it finds that most homophobic people have homosexual tendencies. Or else why would they care? I think I'm sensing a bit of insecurity mixed with a bit of ignorance with you.
@awretchlikebruce Oh yes, and "A man that is brokenfooted or brokenhanded" can't inherit the kingdom of God. Christianity, especially Evangelism is making God and Jesus out to be real ***holes. Sorry if this is offending any of you Christians out there, but you know it's the truth.
@btjohnson96 look kid, homophobic is an idiotic word. no one is afraid of homosexuals. and why are people label homophobic when they dont agree with it. are atheists Godaphobes? and seriously just read back through the posts because i answered most of your rants.
@awretchlikebruce ...And you do have to admit, there does seem to be QUITE a few intelligent sounding people who seem to disagree with you here. That ain't something I'm making up. It's not something I BELIEVE. It's all here in black and white. And still, you won't even consider for a SECOND that MAYBE...just MAYBE a teeny tiny sliver of what you believe MIGHT be wrong, and if you are wrong that it serves evil more then it does good. Ego man...terrible ego.
@clockwork2345 the fact is truth is singular. absolute truth is always just that and both views can't be right. Do you think I chose to follow God because its popular? I chose to follow him because he changed my life. yes there are many intelligent people who disagree with me. I watch the daily show haha but Christianity isnt about Ego. that "blasphemous" tattoo around my wrist is Before honor comes humility. I only follow God and believe Him to be truth. if this makes me egotistical, fine.
@awretchlikebruce Dude, really? THAT'S what it says!? First off, I never had anything against it, I only wanted to see how "to the letter" you followed the bible. I have tons of them myself. Second; HUMILITY - Definition: the quality of being modest, never being arrogant...connected with notions of transcendent UNITY with the universe and of EGOLESSNESS. I'm amazed that this is your code, yet you follow a religion that is, in practice, counter to it. By your own code, your religion has no honor
@awretchlikebruce And just so you know, the definiton of EGOTISM in the context I've used it is: A belief that one is SUPERIOR to or more important than others. Can you PLEASE explain to me how your religion does NOT see itself as superior if it believes it is the ONLY religion that could POSSIBLEY be right? I've never tried to paint my beliefs as superior. You have. All I've ever said is that I don't know EXACTLY what God wants, but that neither could you. That makes us equal. You disagree.
@clockwork2345 Truth is singular. one religion has to be right. and the bible has a lot of history and prophecy backing it up so thats why. What God wants is us to love him and love each other. its written clearly in the bible
Simply saying "truth is singular" is about as useful a way to prove a point as saying "the sky is blue" Both statements are factual, yet neither validate your opinion AS the truth. It's naive and foolish to think that one religion HAS to be right, and egotistical to assume that it's yours. Really think you got the wrong tattoo Dude. I don't see any humility in your opinions.
@clockwork2345 truth is singlular isnt the proof. its just a fact saying that absolute truth means someone has to be right and everyone contradicting wrong. the proof come in the thousands of prophecies, the history and books coming about themselves. It is naive and foolish to think that several religions contradicting each other can be right. And it's not egotistical to lean on research for truth. thinking you are right doesnt make u egotistical. gloating about it does and i dont
@awretchlikebruce Thinking your right with no proof DOES make you egotistical. Gloating has nothing to do with it. Bring thousands of prophecies into a court of law and see how far they get you. And I'm saying it IS possible for several religions to contradict each other and ALL be wrong.
@clockwork2345 thats ridiculous. if thats true then everyone who has ever argued for anything is egotistical. no one fights for something unless they believe it to be right or they are just warped human beings. and yes they can all be wrong but for me to believe 1 is right, therefore in my eyes makes all those who argue against it wrong. that doesnt make me egotistical then it does a teacher marking an answer wrong.
@awretchlikebruce It's not ridiculous Bruce, you just refuse to see it...If one argues "I believe I'm right, but I acknowledge the possiblility that I may be wrong" then one is NOT egotistical because he is not asserting that his views are superior, only that they are HIS unique views. If one argues "I AM right therefore you MUST be wrong" then one is the TEXTBOOK DEFINITION of egotistical. Listen to you own words. “I believe 1 is right, therefore in my eyes all who argue against it are wrong."
@awretchlikebruce And thats really the heart of the issue, isn't it? If your religion even entertains the possiblility that it may be wrong, their whole arguement against why gays shouldn't marry falls apart. Argueing without ego shows all your beliefs to be nothing but a house of cards. I don't hold it against you really. I have the luxury of saying "I may be wrong" because at the end of the day, I'm not trying to control others lives with MY beliefs. You don't have that luxury, do you?
@clockwork2345 Its a completely different situation because I KNOW God. I have a relationship with him that is unexplainable. I may not have everything always right but I know theres a God because I KNOW him. I don't care either way about homosexuality but u haven't accepted any proof of the Bible, therefore i can't take u seriously either.
@awretchlikebruce Lol...how does that even respond to my last comments? Great, you know God. Great, you don't take me seriously (no big shock). Who cares though. How about responding to comments brought into discussion as a result of your opinions? Ignoring them doesn't negate them. If you believe that your righteousness proves that any other conflicting opinions MUST be wrong, with no FACTUAL proof to back you up, then you are a superiorist. No different then the Nazis or the KKK. Am I wrong?
@clockwork2345 If you think your right then of course u think people who oppose that view are wrong. thats common sense. and i have giving you loads of factual truth of why I believe the bible and you have refused to look at it. it's like arguing with a wall. we both know this is going no where so can we just agree to disagree? this is pointless
@awretchlikebruce Dude, this debate was dropped WEEKS ago as far as I was concerned. You're the one that stirred the pot again. But as soon as I hold you to address the points I've made, you wanna bail. Of course it must be like argueing with a wall for you...You can't move forward your side of the arguement without facts (which you don't have and have not ONCE brought to the table), and you can't step back without looking like you're avoiding my points. I'd be trying to bail too if I were you.
@awretchlikebruce And MOST people who debate acknowledge that they MAY be wrong, but believe they're right if they have no facts to back them up. That's what BELIEF means. If you have facts, then an opinion ceases to be a belief and becomes TRUTH. Provable truth. I wholehearted agree with you that you believe you're right, but if you can't conceed that you MIGHT be wrong (because you have no provable facts) then you're asserting that your beliefs ARE facts. That's a superiorist. Sorry, but it is
@clockwork2345 But this is different than a debate of facts. It's a debate of love. You may be able to present facts you love your girlfriend (you give her a ring, flowers etc) but that doesn't prove love and nothing will. I love God and have a relationship with him therefore I know I am not wrong in his existence. Can I explain that with scientific facts? no. Faith is the confidence of things hoped for and the assurance of things not seen.
@awretchlikebruce I agree that faith is the confidance of things hoped for, but "the assurance of things not seen"? Interesting choice of words. ASSURANCE: 5. Excessive self-confidence; presumption. PRESUMPTION: 1. Behavior or attitude that is boldly arrogant or offensive; effrontery. EFFRONTERY: 1. shameless or insolent boldness; impudent presumption; audacity; temerity. Hmmm, on second thought, not so interesting. Using "assurance" is quite an obvious word for you to use.
@awretchlikebruce And this is NOT a debate of love. I'm not debating the existence of God or your right to love and have a relationship with him. I'm debating the fact that when a group (nazis, kkk, some christians) advocate that the rights of certain others should be supressed because they do not meet the believed ideals of said group, then that group is defined by society as superiorists. I'm debating that you are a hypocrite in that you do not live the creedo you have inked into your skin.
@clockwork2345 i used assurance because its a bible verse. hebrews 11. and to debate issues involving God you have to debate his existance or else it wont make sense. and the "rights" in question are considered a perversion of eros, romantic love. and i know u love words so hypocrisy comes from the greek meaning "play- acting" and "acting out". well i am not pretending to be anything I am not. and to stand up and say I am humble would negate the statement itself.
@awretchlikebruce "Nothing is more unjust, however common, than to charge with hypocrisy him that expresses zeal for those virtues which he neglects to practice; since he may be sincerely convinced of the advantages of conquering his passions, without having yet obtained the victory, as a man may be confident of the advantages of a voyage, or a journey, without having courage or industry to undertake it, and may honestly recommend to others, those attempts which he neglects himself." S. Johnson
@awretchlikebruce Now...the reason I posted that quote is so that you're clear as to why I'm calling you a hypocrite. It's not because you're trying to be humble and failing...it's because you really think you ARE humble. I've pointed out the very statements YOU'VE WRITTEN that fly in direct opposition of that claim. By refusing to admit that you MAY be wrong, then yes Bruce, you ARE play-acting and pretending.
@clockwork2345 and talk about the pot calling kettle black. you are ridiculously judgemental to be someone standing up against so called wrongful judgement.
@awretchlikebruce And I never claimed to be non-judgemental or humble (I think don't have an original thought in your small-minded head.)...nor am I trying to curb your judgemental behavior (Dislike gays all you want). I'm simply stating that IN ADDITION to your judgemental behavior, your advocation that human rights should be suppressed based on YOUR groups beliefs makes you immoral. As judgemental as I'm being, it's not like I'm trying to rob your life of anything. Live and let live, ya know?
@clockwork2345 my groups beliefs are what founded our view of marriage. i think they have the right to say what it is or isnt. and i'm not trying to rob homosexual lives of anything, but i am trying to preserve the sanctity of marraige. again i can be wrong about a lot of things easily, but considering I KNOW God, I KNOW i am right about Him. and humility is something lived out day by day, not judged on a youtube comment section. Is it wrong to state publicly u make your best effor to be humble?
@awretchlikebruce Bruce, considering how many straight men and women pervert the sanctitiy of marriage every day, preserving the sanctity of marriage all by yourself is probably too lofty a goal for you and yours. And God doesn't need your help with that. He's pretty capable when it comes right down to it. Aren't we all supposed to emulate the way Jesus lived anyway? He never said anything against gays, and I don't think he would have had a problem with them expressing their love to the world.
@awretchlikebruce I'm happy that you feel you know God, and that you feel you have a relationship with him. I hope that enriches your life in all the ways it can. I hope it makes you a wonderful person. But when you take away rights from people, you hurt them. When you call them sins against nature for things they can't control, you hurt them. As a good person, you shouldn't want that...and I don't think you DO want that. A good God would rather you be kind then obedient, don't you think?
@clockwork2345 Just because straight couples defile marriage isn't a reason to throw it out the window. You do what you can. Jesus would never have gone against something his Father called an abomination. and I'm not saying I am perfect by any means. My sins are just as condemning as theirs and there is freedom from all of it in Christ. but its not about their rights its about the Holiness of marraige. people may be bent toward certain sins but they control whether they carry it out.
@awretchlikebruce I'm never said to throw it out the window. You always seem to either not understand the points I make or you willfully side-step them. I was simply pointing out that it's interesting that one form of defiling is ok by you and one isn't. Convenient, ain't it? Slightly hypocritical and convenient.
@clockwork2345 The most important commandment is love the lord your God with all your heart soul mind and strength. the second is love your neighbor as yourself. Obedience to God is the epitamy of good because God is the epitamy of good. there is a point where, out of love, kindness will be put aside and truth has to be said. "Truth without love is brutality, and love without truth is hypocrisy."
@awretchlikebruce It's funny you should say that...because I DO love god with my heart, a heart that feels for the pain of others. With my soul, which instinctively guides the way to what is right and wrong from all points of view. With my mind, which I use to question and understand instead of following blindly. And with my strength, which gives me the drive to rail against what is clearly unjust. Funny that we follow the same God, huh?
@clockwork2345 It's great your heart feels pain for others as does mine. but "the heart is decietful above all things." that really applies to your defiinition of soul here as well. right and wrong have to be based upon an absolute good, which is God. You shouldnt follow blindly but u shouldnt ignore blindly based on your heart, which is decietful. And use that strength to keep following and deciphering his will instead of thought-noble causes. If we follow the same God, get to know him better
@awretchlikebruce I'd suggest you get to know him better too Bruce, 'cause for someone who prides himself on his knowledge and relationship with God, you're the only one in this arguement that's actually promoting predjudice, ignorance, and harm. There is no evil in what I promote. Yet I'm supposedly not following God properly. If God is absolute good, then how can following his word bring evil unless it's been missread? Again, your God and my God seem quite different.
@clockwork2345 i don't promote predjudice. I promote loving everyone even homosexuals, but i wont support the lifestyle. I promote the search for truth which is the opposite of ignorance. and i have harmed no one and that falls under loving. You promote love no matter if truth coincides or not. True love is telling the truth even when it hurts or isn't popular. how does following his word bring evil? it may step on toes but thats because its coming up against evil.
@awretchlikebruce Hahahahahahahaha....How do you promote the search for truth? You've already made up your mind and your WHOLE POINT is about following unchangeable, unchallengeable words in a book written by people long dead. There IS no searching in what you do. AND you support the belief that homosexuals are a perversion of nature, which is a little beyond just not supporting the lifestyle. Soooo....you'll understand when I call bullsh*t to you saying you harm no one and promote love.
@awretchlikebruce And once again, a little lesson in words. "I don't promote predjudice"? PREDJUDICE is a prejudgment, an assumption made about someone or something before having adequate knowledge. You, Sir, are not gay. You, as of yet, have not been able to proove that the bible is not biased. Therefore you ABSOLUTELY promote predjudice. I know you'll come back saying you don't, but anyone that reads what you've previously written I'm sure would disagree...so in the end, my point is serviced.
@awretchlikebruce So, looks like an arguement can still EASILY be made that your side does serve evil more then mine does. And since God is absolute good and following His word COULDN'T serve evil, then a THINKING, SEARCHING individual (the SEARCH for truth being the opposite of ignorance, you'll remember) might wonder if the bible hasn't been missread after all. True love is telling the truth, and the truth must be searched for, as you say, then how do you search if you feel you're always right
@clockwork2345 i"m really bored with the same arguments over and over and I seriously don't care. the problem I see is that you are calling anything love when its not. I have search and found the Bible to be true. My search has ended but i still keep an open mind. I treat homosexuals the same as anyone else but that doesnt mean i agree with it or stand for it. it's been a pleasure but this is really pointless because neither of us will cave. good day sir
@awretchlikebruce Cool, and I just wanna say thanks. This Anti-Gay video is now filled with as much silly opinions from the church as I could possibly get out of you. You're clearly a lost cause, but there is still hope for the future YOUS, if you get my drift. Anyone who reads any of this will DEFINATELY think twice about the church standpoint from now on, because its ridiculousness shines as bright as a star thanks to you. Thank you Bruce, my boy. You DID serve the good in your own way.
@awretchlikebruce I guess it's like Blake wrote..."the vision of Christ that thou dost see, Is my Vision's Greatest enemy". (Taken slightly out of context, but the point remains valid none the less).
@clockwork2345 i didn't side step the issue. I'm just saying that i believe sex before marraige, divorce, homosexuality and horrible marraiges are all displeasing to God and true marraige as homosexual marraige but u don't promote it because its already gone downhill. and it said heart soul mind and strength which was basically hebrew for all of you. Also if you follow God maybe you should do some more research in how to please him and not what he can do for you.
@awretchlikebruce And if you can show me a bible penned by God himself, then I'll say the bible is infinitely right. Until then, I'll take your advice and consider that the book IS by definition of being written by human hands flawed, and therefore not worth following. Blindly, that is.
@clockwork2345 do i encourage hate? absolutely not. I am no better than anyone homosexual or not. As a Christian I believe the bible teaches 1 love God. 2 love people which means everyone. Does it mean i agree with them? no. I don't agree with premarital sex, greed, and many other things widely accepted in our culture. But so far you have been very intolerant and rude.
I'm tired of people trying to shove gays and their rights down our throats. Paladino was right about what he said about the gay parade he shouldnt apologize for that. The only reason I won't vote for him is because I'm not republican, but i definately agree with him on what he said about gays. I don't have a problem with gay women, they dont go around raping little girls in churches... gay men do. I dont condone any violence against anyone though.
@Venus1Star In this country's history people have said the same thing about black rights and women's rights. No one's trying to shove anything down your throat so quit being an intolerant prick.
fags get over yourselves. stop trying to make an issue out of yourselves - you are irrelevant. this country has real issues to worry about - like the debt that will take us all down.
@relworp69 no i am an atheist. you simply need to realize that all these "moral" issues are systematically exploited by the media to divert public attention from the theft of public money.
This guy clearly by his own admission could not manage his own speech at the Jewish Center and he clearly was not able to handle Harry"s questions. How could he possibly be expected to manage NY?
@markpmccracken Paladino was 100% dead-on on what he said about gays. The only mistake was that he took the cowardly route and apologized for it. Not like gay liberals (I'm not saying all liberals are gay) would vote for him anyway.
I'll answer the question of "is homosexuality normal?"... It's not. Couples of the same sex cannot reproduce without the intervention of science... I could care less if someone is gay.. It doesn't effect my life at all... However, it is not normal..
You know, NY would do better w/ a Conservative person running it, so why does he have to ruin things by making stupid statements. I hope people can get by his stupid remarks so that fiscal responsibility will have a chance. Gay's marrying won't effect my marriage, who the hell cares; Paladino should focus on the economy only & stop the liberal waste.
@LikeToStayFresh No he doesn't. He says that he doesn't like homosexuality as a Christian, but just because he has his own beliefs doesn't mean he can bully others.
I don't care if he apologized for "that thing", referring to the pix of the horses and women having sex....HE has absolutely NO ROOOOM to judge anyone's behavior as acceptable...PLLZZ!!
People are right when they say Paladino is entitled to his opinion under the Second Amendment, and thus has no need to say sorry. The same amendment allows others to call him and his Tea Party backers out-and-out Nazis. Paladino may well be a self-hating closet gay, a sub-group that the GOP seems to specialise in. What's important here is that he is just spouting the same filth that reptiles like Strom Thurmond and George Wallace used against blacks. Only now the 'new Jews' are homosexuals.
While I don't agree with Paladino. If gay people want to marry, have at it. If a church/temple/mosque doesn't want to perform the ceremony or recognize the union... so be it... those that want to... cool. Live and let live is the best policy here... I find it ludicrous, however, to force someone to apologize for expressing his opinion. The gay community lacks credibility in their ever present cry for tolerance, as they only extend tolerance only to those who agree with them.
"Well I'm a catholic so..." RED FLAG! Does NO ONE care about the separation between church and state anymore? And I'm sorry- he's SENSITIVE to the gays? didnt he say in his speech that he thinks being gay is NOT an equal lifestyle option? ugh....
When Republicans say things like they don't believe gays should be married, I get it, that's what they believe. Fine. What I *don't* get is how this man can say he understands gay people, he knows some, he knows the challenges the face in life, and he knows that they are discriminated against, and yet he says they should not be allowed to marry. Isn't that... discrimination? I mean what kind of logic does he have?
Also, on top of that, he says that homosexuality is not a choice, then adds that it is determined at birth, which he is right about, our American Psychological Association and Psychiatric Association have had the same consensus since the 70's (actually 50's but not "officially" until the 70s). He says he is sensitive to it. And yet he said that he doesn't want our youth to be "brainwashed" into thinking it is ok. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HIM. How can his mind believe all these things at the same time?
Good job Paladino don't apologize! You shouldn't have to apologize for your own opinion, if you don't want to accept homosexuality into your life you don't have to!
tom1yum2goong 5 months ago
@Doinitbig112 how does that make gay people selfish? why cant homosexuals have rights? i know plenty of people with gay parents who have never been bullied about it once in their life. and for you to use the word "disgusting" is totally ignorant and disrespectful. you are a moron and you fall right in the same category as a racist.
iamlikesuperman 5 months ago

@Onemoe all republicans aren't hypocrites. thats like saying all homosexuals run around in pink skin tight spandex.

the word homophobe hints that there is fear of them which is wrong. If someone disagrees with homosexuality, they get called a homophobe. stop comparing the gay movement to the civil rights movement or womens suffrage. thats bull. you are born whatever race you are or sex you are but there no proof that you are born gay. you may be born bent toward lust, violence, homosexuality but that doesnt make it right. and theres a lot of ignorance but fighting fire ignorance with ignorance solves nothing
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce theres also no proof that there is a God, genius...
chaserjamess 1 year ago
@chaserjamess there's also no proof there isn't a God. but considering that most of the world believes God is real and homosexuality is wrong, lets stick to the issues.
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce Fine, let's stick to the issues then. How can you NOT compare this to the civil rights movement when it is clearly a civil rights issue. DEFINITION - Civil and political rights are a class of rights that protect individuals' freedom from unwarranted infringement by governments and private organizations, and ensure one's ability to participate in the CIVIL and political life of the state without discrimination or repression. That includes sexual orientation, genius.
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 i was referring to THE Civil Rights movement when african americans fought for there right to be treated like equals. Thats a huge difference. Homosexuals don't drink from separate water fountains or sit at the back of buses. They want the right to violate a union set up from a religious standpoint. the issue lies between church and state. but i hate that when someone says they don't agree, they are thrown under the bus.
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce I understood what you meant, I'm just saying that both causes have strong parallels. They're not exactly the same in the details, but both groups wanted the same rights that other americans enjoyed. And gays don't want to violate the union of marriage, they just want to be able to enjoy the right as the rest of us do. And when people can't seem to grasp that, of course they tend to get thrown under the bus. It's not like they want any EXTRA rights then you have.
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 the problem here isnt that Paladino or most people who disagree with homosexuality are discriminating but it lies in the fact the something of the church lies within the legal system. Your stance depends on whether you follow the Bible as your foundation of government or not.
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce I'm don't know where you live, but the United States does not have an established government religion, but allows individuals to believe different things. There are some of us whose religious beliefs support across the board equality, in word and deed, for all Americans. Where are our First Amendment rights?
Jesterswords 1 year ago
@Jesterswords I'm from New York. The United States was founded on the religion of Christianity, therefore the Bible is where we obtained the views of marriage. Yes everyone has the right to speak freely and practice whatever they please. But considering most of the US claims Christianity as their practicing religion, when everyone expresses that free speech it will probably lean the way of the Bible.
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce Well, if you're an American, you should have a better understanding of the US Constitution, not to mention the particular religion you tout. Marriage as it relates to contracts issued by the government isn't biblical. And the Episcopalian, Methodists, and Lutheran denominations of Christianity, as well as Unitarians, all support same sex marriage. So are First Amendment rights only granted to those you agree with?
Jesterswords 1 year ago
@Jesterswords actually i dont care what denominations have fell to peer pressure but the Bible has stood its ground on homosexuality. I follow the Bible, not the pope, Billy Graham, or Oprah. I follow the source of Christianity not the followers.
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce Also, just so you know...Leviticus 19:28 reads, “You shall not make any cuts in your body for the dead nor make any tattoo marks on yourselves: I am the Lord.” Yet I notice both you and your bass player conveniently overlooked that one too. To me Dude, you're just some dumb kid that doesn't know sh*t about sh*t. Homosexuality makes you feel icky, so you just don't like it. Period. When you grow up a bit, you'll use your mind a bit more. You'll be a better christian for it.
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 yes leviticus was old testament law and it was referring to a cult who believed they could communicate with the dead through these tattoos. those laws were to set the jews apart as a people. There are verses in the new testament referring to homosexuality as wrong too (1 cor 6:9-10). I am 24. I'm not a kid. and i don't understand how on a rant about discrimination, i get all the persecution. "I'll be a better christian for it?" pretty judgemental for a nonjudgemental advocate.
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce "judge not, lest ye be judged" "he that is without sin, let him cast the first stone" Clearly, you pick and chose what to believe in, just like everyone else.
Jesterswords 1 year ago
@Jesterswords totally out of context and i'm not judging. if a judge says someone is guilty and u say they are guilty are u judging them? the judgement has been placed. read back through the comments
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce I'll also add that the Constitution expressly states, in the 11th Amendment, that the rights of the minority shall not be infringed upon by the majority. Our leaders are hired by votes, our rights and our laws are not. So it really is of no consequence what "most" people think on this matter. If you don't think gay marriage is right, you don't have to get one. See there? You're rights are preserved.
Jesterswords 1 year ago
@Jesterswords But it infringes on the thing true Christians found their lives upon. and considering most of the US (most of which rarely follow the Bible but still claim it as their guide) will fight this, this is how things look. I personally hate this issue way more than any right wing nut job could ever hate a homosexual
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce Just to be clear here, I disagree with your statement that we should "stop comparing gay rights to the civil rights movement of womens sufferage...there is no proof you are born gay." So based on this "no proof" theory, you advocate that gays rights SHOULD be violated...even though you have no proof of your own to back up your reasons. You're not gay, so how do you know? Guilty until proven innocent? Decisions made from ignorance? Is that how the country should be run?
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 We aren't restricting rights because the right for 2 people of the same sex to marry was never given. You could use the "you're not ____ so you dont know" argument against anything. But honestly it doesn't matter. The debate is a church and state problem. The church won't cave and neither will Homosexuals. Someone's rights will be violated either way.
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce It matters. If everyone who believes the things you do continue to keep their heads in the sand and follow a book INTERPRETED by imperfect human beings, then wrongs like this will never be changed. The bible is not law, nor is it the direct voice of God. Do you honestly think that God wants this? Evil, by definition, is the opposite of good. What good do you bring to the world by infringing on thier rights? Honestly, how are you helping your fellow man in what you think?
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 a book written by over 40 flawed authors from all walks of life over 1500 years in 3 languages over 3 continents and yet reads as one book and has thousands of prophecies. whatever. and God was pretty straightforward when he lumped homosexuality in with greed, sexual immorality, adultery, etc. I don't think hes "down" with same sex marraige. I think God could care less about a pointless youtube conversation too.
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce Well, if the bible is the word of God as you so clearly state, then he was also pretty straightforward in that you should cut off your wifes hand if she touches another mans genitals, even if she does so as an attack to defend her husband. Do you follow that blindly without using your own brain cause it says so in the bible? Or do you just pick and choose based on what suits your own close-minded view of right and wrong? God help your GF then, cause she loves touching mine!
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 1 i'm single. 2 thats a ignorant statement for someone having a rational argument against discrimination. and they were again listing old testament laws to set the people apart from the other cultures. we are no longer bound by old testament law.
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce So you DO pick and choose. Tell me, how do you know what parts of the bible are the word of God and what parts are ok to ignore and not be bound by? After your last statements, you clearly left the road of the rational arguement in favor of the irrational "it says so in the bible so I follow it" arguement...lol, so yes, I decided to have a little fun with it. Oh and what does it say in the bible? Judge not lest ye be judged? I guess you don't like that one either.
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 the old testament law came was there to set God's people apart. When Jesus came saying basically "thats not necessary because I came am making it possible for everyone to have relationship with God." and how about twist not scripture lest ye be Satan. that is out of context to the extreme and I lay myself out there to be judged (hence awretchlikebruce) I'm a sinner and just because i think homosexuality is wrong doesn't mean i think its worse than other sins. we're all guilty
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce You win Bruce...like all christians without valid, logical and factual reasons to back up what they believe, you've exhausted me with your circular arguement style. If you ever have kids, God help them if one of 'em turn out to be gay, that's all I'm sayin...cause you're gonna f*ck them up big time. But I guess God WON'T help them, cause they're gay. Right? Damn, I guess they're screwed then.

Yours do. How Christian of you
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 well the fact is lies hurt everyone and whoever is wrong is spreading them. and considering i believe the bible is infallible and it says its wrong, then I put a lot of confidence in not being wrong. but i'm sorry you have been hurt by Christians so much that u have this much hostility toward me. and i sincerely do mean that apology
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce My only problem with you and people like you is that you try and feed us sh*t and call it ice cream, just so you can bitch about being thrown under the bus when we don't like what you're serving. You're a bigot. An egocentric bigot...and you can deny it all you want, but your words paint the picture better then I ever could. I AM a Christian, and Christians like you embarress me. This is just what it looks like when a Christian places being a good person above words in a book.
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 i havent judged you yet u havent stopped judging me. I haven't pressured u to follow anything. You don't even know me yet u think i'm egocentric. A Christian is a Christ follower and u are talking about me picking and choosing verses to follow but you overlook the verses you don't like. (homosexuality) if you want to go off evidence, you are a judgemental hypocrite. at least I know what I believe and call myself a Christian because I follow Christ no matter what society says
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce I challenge you to quote any hypocricy in what I've said. I never said I followed the bible blindly as you have said. I DO pick and choose because I use the bible as a guide to help me be a good person, not as a set of marching papers. I use my mind to make decisions for myself. You're egocentric because you understand and interpret the world in terms of the self. YOU believe homosexuality is wrong (because of what YOU'VE read, how YOU feel...etc) so therefore it MUST be wrong.
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 The Bible was never meant to be a guide to being a good person. the message is that no one is good and we all need God. Your mind is what God has given you and no river runs higher than its source. I go off what i have READ because theres no greater source. the heart is deceitful so what i believe is irrelevant. but someone who picks and chooses what they want isn't really following. God isnt a buffet. He's either infinitely right or he's wrong, flawed and not worth following
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce And I ain't pressuring you to follow anything you don't want to. Not in the way your beliefs expect homosexuals to conform to you and yours. You be as Christain as you want to be. I'm just calling bullsh*t on you acting like your beliefs aren't intolerant. They clearly are. I'm not even asking you to NOT be intolerant. It's your right to be. If you don't care that your beliefs reinforce a negative stereotype that gets kids beat up, then you're free to be a douche, I guess.
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 also its really sad you need a spiritual miracle to believe that God is God. its not enough that thousands of prophecies have came true but u need God to sit u down and read it to you? faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Check out "The case for faith" by lee strobel but chances are you aren't really looking for anything because it may actually take a risk to believe in ... well something
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce Rude? Yes, saying your GF likes my crotch WAS rude. Intolerant? Show me where. I've never told you NOT to do anything. You're free to do as you like. I've only pointed out what I consider bullsh*t in your stance against gay marriage as far as think following the bible makes you good. I've been honest in my view of you as egotistical and intolerant as shown by your words. I don't need a miracle to believe God is, but I won't follow a book blindly KNOWING its not his words.
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce And if you come back sayin that the bible is ANYTHING other then a human interpretation of Gods word AT BEST, than you're more far gone then I orignally considered....and I'll just start backing up slowly without any sudden moves. Considering you're willing to follow your interpreted beliefs derived from a book penned thousands of years ago DESPITE what society thinks is a little to "Rifle in a Bell Tower" for me. Oh, and I forgot the ING on "thinking" in that last post FYI.
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 If God is all powerful and created people, as complicated as they are, don't you think he could write a book? and everything we know about history we don't question even though there are thousands more original copies of the bible then there are almost anything. and when has society been a reason not to follow truth? and the mentality of "anyone who believes this is crazy" is a good way to ride someone off when they make u start to think.
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce Also a good way to write someone off who refuses to see logic and will follow thier beliefs "no matter what". Yes, God COULD write a book, but he didn't. You and I both know He didn't write the bible personally. Come on now. And since there are many ways to view the TRUTH of a situation (looking at it openly from ALL sides) it is VERY important to prioritize socienty if you claim to believe in freedom, patience and compassion. And as yet, you've given me nothing to think about.
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce But don't get me wrong. I look foward to the post where you DO give me something to think about. So long as it's an arguement that you can back up with fact and logic, and avoid "I do it cause a book told me to", then chances are I'd have to think about it. Your points are just a little too light for me get anything out of. You need to add more meat to them, if you get what I mean. I don't mean that as a put down, but so far you've just not given me anything concrete.
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce Its like this. If I said to you "hey Bruce...I believe in Faries, and they said to tell you not to play guitar anymore, then if I really expected you to restrict your actions to conform to MY beliefs, I'd HAVE to give you something more concrete then "well, that's just what I believe, so I'm right." You see what I mean? If you want to curb someones freedoms, then the burden IS on you to back it up with the FACTS as to why. If you just EXPECT compliance, that's intolerance.
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 i'm pretty sure theres more evidence of the events in the bible than there are for fairies. thats why I gave u the title of an entire book that dives into that instead of having to fit hundreds of facts into a 500 character statement. Theres the hittite empire, the plagues of pharoah, the famine of josephs day. there are oodles of historic evidence if u are willing to look into them
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce Agreed. But the fact that the bible contains true depictions of historical events does NOT give weight to the entire content. If I write a book that says the world is round, the sky is blue, and it rains candy every day, the 2 first truths don't factualize the 3rd. The amount of people that believe in the bible don't factualize it either. A million children believing in Santa Claus doesn't make him real. So again, no FACTS as to why gay rights should be penalized.
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 when it comes to moral issues people always have opinions. The bible saying homosexuality is wrong doesn't negate the historical backing of it just because our society thinks its right. If you say the sky is blue, the world is round, and licorice tastes bad that doesnt say anything about the first 2 but if anything, you look at the truth of the first 2 and it should make u look at the 3rd more closely. but you wont come to a conclusion because its a matter of opinion.

@awretchlikebruce Ok...I get it. You follow the bible without question, and that's all I can expect from you. One last question though. If a homosexual couple DOES get a blessing from a branch of Christianity that WILL perform gay marriages (the united church of canada, for example), doesn't God then also bless that union?
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 if homosexuality is wrong then God will not "bless" it no matter who in his name says its ok. Let's say you think it's wrong to wear ascots (which it obviously is) and you see someone wearing one. If someone says "Clockwork totally thinks it's cool to wear ascots. I have 3 on." does that mean u approve of it? Just because people can twist or ignore God's word doesn't change it. it just means those people are willing to change their stance because its politically incorrect
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce Lol...ok, so if there are churches who will perform a marrige, homosexuals who want them, and a God who can bless or not bless whatever he chooses...why do you (or your branch of christianity) even care? You (the church) are the least qualified and most unnecessary part of the that equation. Look, your church doesn't have to perform them, God clearly doesn't need you to stick up for him, and nobody's making you have one...so why stick your nose where it don't belong?
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 If i believe God doesn't agree with something and I represent God, than it is my obligation to represent Him to the best I know how. and considering God created everyone, that makes the people who really follow him the most qualified. I don't want same sex marriage not because it makes me feel icky or because God made adam and even not adam and steve. It is because when God says something is wrong its because he knows whats best and this will be hurtful if people follow it.
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce Thing is, GOD has never said it's wrong. Paul said it's wrong. Leviticus has said it's wrong. Roman's has said it's wrong. But God has never walked up to you and said its wrong. And by your own statement, a branch of Christianity that will perform a same sex marriage IS the most qualified (they follow Him, right?). A homosexual christian that believes God made them how they are IS the most qualified. Unless you're stating that it's only YOUR branch that REALLY follows God.
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 I believe an infinite God can write a book. so yes i believe that God through paul stated it is wrong. and just because the majority believes something doesnt make it right, just popular. If some sect of christianity says homosexuality is not a sin they are ignoring the Bible so yes i believe they are wrong. and i seriously don't care about this enough to keep this going. and we check our youtube too much.
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce That's fine Dude...I'm pretty much done here too. I knew I'd never convince you. But I did want to show that you ARE egotistical to whomever else might be reading or swayed by your way of thinking. Over 15 branches of Christianity, but YOURS is the only right one. When the majority serves you, it's FACT, but when it doesn't, it's popularity. And I knew that no matter how many times I'd ask for FACTS, you'd be unable to bring any. You've served my point better then I ever could.
clockwork2345 1 year ago

I think I'm sensing a bit of insecurity mixed with a bit of ignorance with you.
btjohnson96 1 year ago
@btjohnson96 u dont offend me. its crap i have already heard. read back through the arguments on here and say something original.
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce Oh yes, and "A man that is brokenfooted or brokenhanded" can't inherit the kingdom of God. Christianity, especially Evangelism is making God and Jesus out to be real ***holes. Sorry if this is offending any of you Christians out there, but you know it's the truth.
btjohnson96 1 year ago
@btjohnson96 look kid, homophobic is an idiotic word. no one is afraid of homosexuals. and why are people label homophobic when they dont agree with it. are atheists Godaphobes? and seriously just read back through the posts because i answered most of your rants.
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce ...And you do have to admit, there does seem to be QUITE a few intelligent sounding people who seem to disagree with you here. That ain't something I'm making up. It's not something I BELIEVE. It's all here in black and white. And still, you won't even consider for a SECOND that MAYBE...just MAYBE a teeny tiny sliver of what you believe MIGHT be wrong, and if you are wrong that it serves evil more then it does good. Ego man...terrible ego.
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 the fact is truth is singular. absolute truth is always just that and both views can't be right. Do you think I chose to follow God because its popular? I chose to follow him because he changed my life. yes there are many intelligent people who disagree with me. I watch the daily show haha but Christianity isnt about Ego. that "blasphemous" tattoo around my wrist is Before honor comes humility. I only follow God and believe Him to be truth. if this makes me egotistical, fine.
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce Dude, really? THAT'S what it says!? First off, I never had anything against it, I only wanted to see how "to the letter" you followed the bible. I have tons of them myself. Second; HUMILITY - Definition: the quality of being modest, never being arrogant...connected with notions of transcendent UNITY with the universe and of EGOLESSNESS. I'm amazed that this is your code, yet you follow a religion that is, in practice, counter to it. By your own code, your religion has no honor
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce And just so you know, the definiton of EGOTISM in the context I've used it is: A belief that one is SUPERIOR to or more important than others. Can you PLEASE explain to me how your religion does NOT see itself as superior if it believes it is the ONLY religion that could POSSIBLEY be right? I've never tried to paint my beliefs as superior. You have. All I've ever said is that I don't know EXACTLY what God wants, but that neither could you. That makes us equal. You disagree.
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 Truth is singular. one religion has to be right. and the bible has a lot of history and prophecy backing it up so thats why. What God wants is us to love him and love each other. its written clearly in the bible
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
Simply saying "truth is singular" is about as useful a way to prove a point as saying "the sky is blue" Both statements are factual, yet neither validate your opinion AS the truth. It's naive and foolish to think that one religion HAS to be right, and egotistical to assume that it's yours. Really think you got the wrong tattoo Dude. I don't see any humility in your opinions.
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 truth is singlular isnt the proof. its just a fact saying that absolute truth means someone has to be right and everyone contradicting wrong. the proof come in the thousands of prophecies, the history and books coming about themselves. It is naive and foolish to think that several religions contradicting each other can be right. And it's not egotistical to lean on research for truth. thinking you are right doesnt make u egotistical. gloating about it does and i dont
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago

@awretchlikebruce Thinking your right with no proof DOES make you egotistical. Gloating has nothing to do with it. Bring thousands of prophecies into a court of law and see how far they get you. And I'm saying it IS possible for several religions to contradict each other and ALL be wrong.
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 thats ridiculous. if thats true then everyone who has ever argued for anything is egotistical. no one fights for something unless they believe it to be right or they are just warped human beings. and yes they can all be wrong but for me to believe 1 is right, therefore in my eyes makes all those who argue against it wrong. that doesnt make me egotistical then it does a teacher marking an answer wrong.
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce It's not ridiculous Bruce, you just refuse to see it...If one argues "I believe I'm right, but I acknowledge the possiblility that I may be wrong" then one is NOT egotistical because he is not asserting that his views are superior, only that they are HIS unique views. If one argues "I AM right therefore you MUST be wrong" then one is the TEXTBOOK DEFINITION of egotistical. Listen to you own words. “I believe 1 is right, therefore in my eyes all who argue against it are wrong."
clockwork2345 1 year ago

clockwork2345 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce And thats really the heart of the issue, isn't it? If your religion even entertains the possiblility that it may be wrong, their whole arguement against why gays shouldn't marry falls apart. Argueing without ego shows all your beliefs to be nothing but a house of cards. I don't hold it against you really. I have the luxury of saying "I may be wrong" because at the end of the day, I'm not trying to control others lives with MY beliefs. You don't have that luxury, do you?
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 Its a completely different situation because I KNOW God. I have a relationship with him that is unexplainable. I may not have everything always right but I know theres a God because I KNOW him. I don't care either way about homosexuality but u haven't accepted any proof of the Bible, therefore i can't take u seriously either.
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce Lol...how does that even respond to my last comments? Great, you know God. Great, you don't take me seriously (no big shock). Who cares though. How about responding to comments brought into discussion as a result of your opinions? Ignoring them doesn't negate them. If you believe that your righteousness proves that any other conflicting opinions MUST be wrong, with no FACTUAL proof to back you up, then you are a superiorist. No different then the Nazis or the KKK. Am I wrong?
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 If you think your right then of course u think people who oppose that view are wrong. thats common sense. and i have giving you loads of factual truth of why I believe the bible and you have refused to look at it. it's like arguing with a wall. we both know this is going no where so can we just agree to disagree? this is pointless
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce Dude, this debate was dropped WEEKS ago as far as I was concerned. You're the one that stirred the pot again. But as soon as I hold you to address the points I've made, you wanna bail. Of course it must be like argueing with a wall for you...You can't move forward your side of the arguement without facts (which you don't have and have not ONCE brought to the table), and you can't step back without looking like you're avoiding my points. I'd be trying to bail too if I were you.
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce And MOST people who debate acknowledge that they MAY be wrong, but believe they're right if they have no facts to back them up. That's what BELIEF means. If you have facts, then an opinion ceases to be a belief and becomes TRUTH. Provable truth. I wholehearted agree with you that you believe you're right, but if you can't conceed that you MIGHT be wrong (because you have no provable facts) then you're asserting that your beliefs ARE facts. That's a superiorist. Sorry, but it is
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 But this is different than a debate of facts. It's a debate of love. You may be able to present facts you love your girlfriend (you give her a ring, flowers etc) but that doesn't prove love and nothing will. I love God and have a relationship with him therefore I know I am not wrong in his existence. Can I explain that with scientific facts? no. Faith is the confidence of things hoped for and the assurance of things not seen.
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce I agree that faith is the confidance of things hoped for, but "the assurance of things not seen"? Interesting choice of words. ASSURANCE: 5. Excessive self-confidence; presumption. PRESUMPTION: 1. Behavior or attitude that is boldly arrogant or offensive; effrontery. EFFRONTERY: 1. shameless or insolent boldness; impudent presumption; audacity; temerity. Hmmm, on second thought, not so interesting. Using "assurance" is quite an obvious word for you to use.
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce And this is NOT a debate of love. I'm not debating the existence of God or your right to love and have a relationship with him. I'm debating the fact that when a group (nazis, kkk, some christians) advocate that the rights of certain others should be supressed because they do not meet the believed ideals of said group, then that group is defined by society as superiorists. I'm debating that you are a hypocrite in that you do not live the creedo you have inked into your skin.
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 i used assurance because its a bible verse. hebrews 11. and to debate issues involving God you have to debate his existance or else it wont make sense. and the "rights" in question are considered a perversion of eros, romantic love. and i know u love words so hypocrisy comes from the greek meaning "play- acting" and "acting out". well i am not pretending to be anything I am not. and to stand up and say I am humble would negate the statement itself.
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce "Nothing is more unjust, however common, than to charge with hypocrisy him that expresses zeal for those virtues which he neglects to practice; since he may be sincerely convinced of the advantages of conquering his passions, without having yet obtained the victory, as a man may be confident of the advantages of a voyage, or a journey, without having courage or industry to undertake it, and may honestly recommend to others, those attempts which he neglects himself." S. Johnson
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce Now...the reason I posted that quote is so that you're clear as to why I'm calling you a hypocrite. It's not because you're trying to be humble and failing...it's because you really think you ARE humble. I've pointed out the very statements YOU'VE WRITTEN that fly in direct opposition of that claim. By refusing to admit that you MAY be wrong, then yes Bruce, you ARE play-acting and pretending.
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 and talk about the pot calling kettle black. you are ridiculously judgemental to be someone standing up against so called wrongful judgement.
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce And I never claimed to be non-judgemental or humble (I think don't have an original thought in your small-minded head.)...nor am I trying to curb your judgemental behavior (Dislike gays all you want). I'm simply stating that IN ADDITION to your judgemental behavior, your advocation that human rights should be suppressed based on YOUR groups beliefs makes you immoral. As judgemental as I'm being, it's not like I'm trying to rob your life of anything. Live and let live, ya know?
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 my groups beliefs are what founded our view of marriage. i think they have the right to say what it is or isnt. and i'm not trying to rob homosexual lives of anything, but i am trying to preserve the sanctity of marraige. again i can be wrong about a lot of things easily, but considering I KNOW God, I KNOW i am right about Him. and humility is something lived out day by day, not judged on a youtube comment section. Is it wrong to state publicly u make your best effor to be humble?
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce Bruce, considering how many straight men and women pervert the sanctitiy of marriage every day, preserving the sanctity of marriage all by yourself is probably too lofty a goal for you and yours. And God doesn't need your help with that. He's pretty capable when it comes right down to it. Aren't we all supposed to emulate the way Jesus lived anyway? He never said anything against gays, and I don't think he would have had a problem with them expressing their love to the world.
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce I'm happy that you feel you know God, and that you feel you have a relationship with him. I hope that enriches your life in all the ways it can. I hope it makes you a wonderful person. But when you take away rights from people, you hurt them. When you call them sins against nature for things they can't control, you hurt them. As a good person, you shouldn't want that...and I don't think you DO want that. A good God would rather you be kind then obedient, don't you think?
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 Just because straight couples defile marriage isn't a reason to throw it out the window. You do what you can. Jesus would never have gone against something his Father called an abomination. and I'm not saying I am perfect by any means. My sins are just as condemning as theirs and there is freedom from all of it in Christ. but its not about their rights its about the Holiness of marraige. people may be bent toward certain sins but they control whether they carry it out.
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce I'm never said to throw it out the window. You always seem to either not understand the points I make or you willfully side-step them. I was simply pointing out that it's interesting that one form of defiling is ok by you and one isn't. Convenient, ain't it? Slightly hypocritical and convenient.
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 The most important commandment is love the lord your God with all your heart soul mind and strength. the second is love your neighbor as yourself. Obedience to God is the epitamy of good because God is the epitamy of good. there is a point where, out of love, kindness will be put aside and truth has to be said. "Truth without love is brutality, and love without truth is hypocrisy."
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce It's funny you should say that...because I DO love god with my heart, a heart that feels for the pain of others. With my soul, which instinctively guides the way to what is right and wrong from all points of view. With my mind, which I use to question and understand instead of following blindly. And with my strength, which gives me the drive to rail against what is clearly unjust. Funny that we follow the same God, huh?
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 It's great your heart feels pain for others as does mine. but "the heart is decietful above all things." that really applies to your defiinition of soul here as well. right and wrong have to be based upon an absolute good, which is God. You shouldnt follow blindly but u shouldnt ignore blindly based on your heart, which is decietful. And use that strength to keep following and deciphering his will instead of thought-noble causes. If we follow the same God, get to know him better
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce I'd suggest you get to know him better too Bruce, 'cause for someone who prides himself on his knowledge and relationship with God, you're the only one in this arguement that's actually promoting predjudice, ignorance, and harm. There is no evil in what I promote. Yet I'm supposedly not following God properly. If God is absolute good, then how can following his word bring evil unless it's been missread? Again, your God and my God seem quite different.
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 i don't promote predjudice. I promote loving everyone even homosexuals, but i wont support the lifestyle. I promote the search for truth which is the opposite of ignorance. and i have harmed no one and that falls under loving. You promote love no matter if truth coincides or not. True love is telling the truth even when it hurts or isn't popular. how does following his word bring evil? it may step on toes but thats because its coming up against evil.
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce Hahahahahahahaha....How do you promote the search for truth? You've already made up your mind and your WHOLE POINT is about following unchangeable, unchallengeable words in a book written by people long dead. There IS no searching in what you do. AND you support the belief that homosexuals are a perversion of nature, which is a little beyond just not supporting the lifestyle. Soooo....you'll understand when I call bullsh*t to you saying you harm no one and promote love.
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce And once again, a little lesson in words. "I don't promote predjudice"? PREDJUDICE is a prejudgment, an assumption made about someone or something before having adequate knowledge. You, Sir, are not gay. You, as of yet, have not been able to proove that the bible is not biased. Therefore you ABSOLUTELY promote predjudice. I know you'll come back saying you don't, but anyone that reads what you've previously written I'm sure would disagree...so in the end, my point is serviced.
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce So, looks like an arguement can still EASILY be made that your side does serve evil more then mine does. And since God is absolute good and following His word COULDN'T serve evil, then a THINKING, SEARCHING individual (the SEARCH for truth being the opposite of ignorance, you'll remember) might wonder if the bible hasn't been missread after all. True love is telling the truth, and the truth must be searched for, as you say, then how do you search if you feel you're always right
clockwork2345 1 year ago

(Taken slightly out of context, but the point remains valid none the less).
clockwork2345 1 year ago
@clockwork2345 i didn't side step the issue. I'm just saying that i believe sex before marraige, divorce, homosexuality and horrible marraiges are all displeasing to God and true marraige as homosexual marraige but u don't promote it because its already gone downhill. and it said heart soul mind and strength which was basically hebrew for all of you. Also if you follow God maybe you should do some more research in how to please him and not what he can do for you.
awretchlikebruce 1 year ago
@awretchlikebruce And if you can show me a bible penned by God himself, then I'll say the bible is infinitely right. Until then, I'll take your advice and consider that the book IS by definition of being written by human hands flawed, and therefore not worth following. Blindly, that is.
clockwork2345 1 year ago

Venus1Star 1 year ago
@Venus1Star In this country's history people have said the same thing about black rights and women's rights. No one's trying to shove anything down your throat so quit being an intolerant prick.

fags get over yourselves. stop trying to make an issue out of yourselves - you are irrelevant. this country has real issues to worry about - like the debt that will take us all down.

@g1981c ... spoken like a true douchebag! Let me guess, you're christian?
relworp69 1 year ago
@relworp69 no i am an atheist. you simply need to realize that all these "moral" issues are systematically exploited by the media to divert public attention from the theft of public money.

This guy clearly by his own admission could not manage his own speech at the Jewish Center and he clearly was not able to handle Harry"s questions. How could he possibly be expected to manage NY?
markpmccracken 1 year ago
@markpmccracken Paladino was 100% dead-on on what he said about gays. The only mistake was that he took the cowardly route and apologized for it. Not like gay liberals (I'm not saying all liberals are gay) would vote for him anyway.
redarrowhead2 1 year ago
The media has no idea how to handle Paladino. He wins every time he's on tv.

I'll answer the question of "is homosexuality normal?"... It's not. Couples of the same sex cannot reproduce without the intervention of science... I could care less if someone is gay.. It doesn't effect my life at all... However, it is not normal..
imax1971 1 year ago
@imax1971 - is the only reason you are with the person you love procreation? do you only have sex to make babies, and not for love or pleasure?
homosexuality exists across the animal kingdom - that's pretty natural sounding to me
thew 1 year ago
@thew I didn't use the word natural. I used normal. Big difference...

WingThaiJ 1 year ago
Good. We need guys like Paladino who tell it like it is.

Obama has the same views on marriage as Paladino!!
LikeToStayFresh 1 year ago

ProjectFlashlight612 1 year ago
While I don't agree with Paladino. If gay people want to marry, have at it. If a church/temple/mosque doesn't want to perform the ceremony or recognize the union... so be it... those that want to... cool. Live and let live is the best policy here... I find it ludicrous, however, to force someone to apologize for expressing his opinion. The gay community lacks credibility in their ever present cry for tolerance, as they only extend tolerance only to those who agree with them.
JaboBabo 1 year ago
no apology ? he has not said nor done anything that requires an apology.
Has still has a right to his own opinion. (even if I do completely agree with him).
He has a right to his opinion AND he has a right to express it.
NO APOLOGY NEEDED

TimTimato 1 year ago
Also, on top of that, he says that homosexuality is not a choice, then adds that it is determined at birth, which he is right about, our American Psychological Association and Psychiatric Association have had the same consensus since the 70's (actually 50's but not "officially" until the 70s). He says he is sensitive to it. And yet he said that he doesn't want our youth to be "brainwashed" into thinking it is ok. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HIM. How can his mind believe all these things at the same time?
