We have trouble with a transition into Flett as well. Your high A's were not as bad as ours were @ Maryville the week before. Which suprised me, as hot as it was; I expected them to be way off in the stratosphere, lol.
@madpipertn LoL, in pre-comp tuning that afternoon the high As tried to ascend to dog-summoning levels, but after a frustratingly long tuning session we gained some semblance of control. This was a very satisfying result for a new comp group in the band and we took away some very useful comments from the judges.
Competition set "Murdo's Wedding/Intercontinental Gathering/ Flett From Flotta" You can hear our hgih hand losing it int the heat and humidity. Nice transition from 'Murdo's' to 'Intercontinental' but a little muddy into 'Flett." However, nice 3rd place win.
