Harrison has always been one of the most humblest guys in Hollywood. Because of his apprehension to fully embrace the constant eyes of the glitz and the paparazzi, getting him to do interviews is a chore in itself, but I think that what makes him such a classy guy. To him its all about the craft, not the bells and whistles that follows it. He'll promote his movies or make rare award appearances, but he will not parade himself in front of the cameras day in and day out like some actors do.
The greatest physical actor I've ever seen. By that, I mean the way he moves, moves through action - shows fear, shaking, nerves, stumbling, awkwardness, etc, etc. Never seen anyone close to Harrison Ford in terms of physical acting. The best.
They completely ignored Blade Runner! I know it wasn't Harrison's favorite movie, but I think the interview and the students would benefit from him telling about this aspect of the work of acting: not getting along with a director and how you cope with that. Instead they only focus on the 'successful' moments of his career, which is complete bullcrap. Like it or not, Blade Runner is in the top 5 of the biggest movies he worked on. You can't just skip that!
NOT in the top 5 that he's done - not nearly. When you have the Star Wars trilogy, the Indiana Jones trilogy, Witness, Working Girl (which was a huge movie), the Jack Ryan movies, The Fugitive -- you're talking about Blade Runner probably not making his top 10.
@codlyman I think his top five is 1. Star Wars - The Empire Strikes Back 2. Raiders of the Lost Ark 3. Blade Runner 4. Witness 5. The Last Crusade
It's all a matter of opinion of course. However, Working Girl, Patriot Games and The Fugitive, all good movies, can't hold a candle to the brilliance of Blade Runner from an artistic standpoint I think. You're entitled to your opinion of course, but it seems to me you just didn't care for an all time classic and therefore rate it so low.
I bet no one who applauded then would have done it had they seen the crapfest Indiana 4 was, but I remember back then it sure sounded awesome to see indy again after so long
It's funny that they eventually did make Indiana Jones 4 and everyone complained about it. The film was flawed, but still entertaining I thought, and Harrison was wonderful as Doctor Jones as always.
@BudAntics but thats the only big thing after star wars...Harrison has had Indiana Jones,The Fugitive,The Jack Ryan films, Blade Runner, and he has had several species of animals named after him.FORD IS GOD!ALL WORSHIP THE ALMIGHTY FEDORA AS THE CROWN OF AWE AND THE WHIP AS THE DELIVERER OF JUSTICE!!!
@SmithComposition They probably did get that in. The full interviews are typically 4-5 hours long. But there's only so much you can fit into an hour tv show.
@alwayzjello Maybe. But it seems stupid to leave it out if they did ask him about it. It's such a huge film responsible for an entire style of genre and thinking about the future, being Cyber Punk, that it would really be a waste to not include it.
My bet is they didn't even ask about it because Ford historically has a huge problem with Ridley Scott because of Blade Runner, even going so far as to say he'd never work with him again.
@SmithComposition Because James Lipton is so "scientifically complex" and puts so much research into his interviews. That he simply figures- to not get too far of commercial successes he will be safe!
I really enjoyed this and I am a fan of inside the actors studio and Harrison Ford. I think he is brilliant and is one of my favourite actors. Thank you!
@1IIIIIIIIII1 yes and no. its just how awesome he is.plus its not hard for gay guys to find him attractive.after all he was voted the sexiest man one year
@SirPsychoFlea I think I read somewhere that any account created in 2006 or earlier can upload any length of video. Whether it's true or not, you're definitely worthy.

I've never seen an actor so uncomfortable with their fame. He practically cringed when they cheered for star wars.
