  • Awesome my friend! Great budget tips!

  • @PreppingOnABudget ~ Thanks (o:

I just thought it was because I have strange phobias and OCD issues (o: Just kidding!

Hey...two weeks of that vs breaking open a new bar...stretch it all as far as ya' can!

    (((((hugs))))))

  • @thewheatguy These days it's all about stretching those dollars. I loved the idea of tying it to the foo-foo thing (never can remember the correct name!)

  • Laundry soap is fine to use leftovers for but not for dishes as one of the comments suggested. It is a sure way of getting diarrea

  • @marshwillow ~ Yes, you're right!!! Don't use bathroom soap on dishes...agreed. I did write the words 'soap dish' - (meaning the tray that the soap is held in) and sure hope no one thinks I meant dish soap. Two different things! (o:

Thanks for pointing that health tip out!

  • Shoot we just drop them into a small glass add a bit of water smoosh it together a voila a new bar of soap. I really like the hose idea cause you have a bit of a scrubber, to cool for school, thanks!!

  • @Dancerpro1 ~ I like that! We've done that by accident before (goo in the bottom of a soap dish)...but on purpose seems smarter! (o:

    Thanks for sharing!

    Blesings!

  • Are you the same lady who had the bug out location???

  • @snaps81625 ~ Yep. That's us. Nope this is not the inside of that house. We had to leave temporarily due to black mold and a floor cave in...but back at it on the other channel soon! We're getting those taken care of before we move back...

  • @thewheatguy Well I knew that I'd seen that face before.. I mean I watched everyone of those bugout video's.. can't wait for them to get going again.. I loved your bugout place, it reminded me of a recurring dream I had for years about my dream place to live.. God Bless!

  • donna you lookin younger and younger, please tell us your secret

  • @MissBurr1 ~~ Wow! Bless you! Your timing is amazing...not feeling too spry today! Thanks for that booster shot!! The gray is shining through pretty strong lately!

Not sure of a secret....I'm a pretty basic person...so, maybe it's the whole grains?

    Bless you!

    Donna

  • When my soap starts getting small I marry it to a new bar of soap. Just get them wet and set the small one on top of the new bar. Next shower it glued together good enough to hold.

  • @JP1AO ~ I love this idea...I just don't seem to get soaps to stick well. It must not be the right kind of soap. But I know it does work for others....so it's a great reminder! Thanks!

    Blessings,

    Donna

  • Hey use a rubber band to hold that Knee-hi together.........been doing this ever since knee hi hose came out....good tip.

  • @marshwillow ~ Thanks! Good idea!

    Blessings,

    Donna

  • You can also just add them to hot water in a bottle & let it soak..shake..and you have hand soap for the sink.

  • That's not weird-- it's a great tip. We use our leftover scrap soap for making laundry soap.

  • @TheDenisedrake That is what we do as well. We use the old style lye soap bars and they do very well in laundry soap.

  • @katiatomsk ~ So now, I'm feeling less weird and more like I'm in good company! (o:

  • @TheDenisedrake ~ I like that idea too! Thanks for sharing that!
