There shouldn't be any problem driving them in dust. The problem comes if one car is tailgating the other, it would suck in too much dirt in its radiator and may be some go up to the air filter.

mess up the paint??? when 2 cars are making love like that, it doesn't matter if you scratch your paint a bit. I have few scratches on my E39 and i still absolutely love it. each scratch reminds me of a good time with it. E39 FOREVER

I went 167mph in my M5 going to Los angeles on highway 5. and i cuz of that i had over 100 of little scratches on my hood, front bumper and mirrors. now i am was talking about clean freeway. the're driving on a freakin Sand. i dont think its gonna be just couple scratches. dont get me wrong if i woud know where to go craz like that i woud prolly 2 but still. gotta baby and love your bmw and it will very much love you back

you only get scratches on the highway because little rocks n debris is being thrown from tires, especialy big trucks..but in that desert theres nothin ahead of them..
