My cat just did that for the first time yesterday when we where on our way home from the vet from getting his shots done. I think It was mostly because he was stressed out though. It sure freaked me out though. I thought he was like dieing or something and that we where gonna have to take him back to the vet, but he's all good and he's just been sleeping non-stop, recovering from, the stiffness and pain and stuff.

2 cats panting might look funny but funny definitely not a good sign, due to heat, exhausting stress or heart disease.

yea. it could be stress. one day my cat got out and when he came back he was panting and his heart was beating crazy. my cat also gets like this from car rides. give your cat some cold water and that will help. i guess =)

there are various reasons for panting, but I hope you took him in for the sneezing ect. My mom's cat had that problem and it turned out to be fluid in the lungs.

I have cat too she is 12 yrs old.......well panting usually happens when they want more air to be taken in.....either in case of cold.....or.....even when they are taken away from home...in that case case they try to sense the new place.....ma cat does that!!!

Actualy, cats will pant if they are in great stress. The cat in this video is frightened. Its not the heat in the car. If it were the heat, the cat would be spread out on the back seat. Panting meens His heart it beating way too fast. Cats often pant before cardiac arrest.
