  • Again, brilliant firing without any clag. This is amazing considering the quality of coal available... Great vid. Thanks so much.

  • Another superb Headphone experience..brilliant photography as always and a thoroughly enjoyable video, and thanks for all the effort you've put in so that we can sit in comfort and enjoy it all...5* Bob

  • Very good!

I tried to climb to this place but gave up because it was really dangerous.

  • The trick is to climb from the backside of the mountain... ;-)

Go to the platform of Dongchanggou stop. On the other side there is a "road" leading up the embankment, onto the yellow waste... Follow this in the direction of Sanyelian for about 500 meter, and then climb the hill on your left, between you and the railway. The climb is not too dangerous then, and then you get this view... :-) Only disadvantage is that the area where you can stand is really thin, and it's very windy up there...

  • Climbing this mountain from the side of the railway is indeed a bit too risky... :-)

Actually there's only one mountain I couldn't climb, and that's the one on the other side of the road, visible in the left of this recording. I tried two times, but gave up each time, because it was getting too risky with my heavy backpack... On one occasion I had to "escape" in secret by silently moving to the back, because a dog suddenly came to guard the foot of that mountain... :-D But I cheated him ;-)

nice sound coming out of the canyon
