Pageants teach them that unless they're wearing makeup and getting "glamed up head-to-toe", they're not as beautiful as mommy wants her to be. if they are raised like this, they'll believe people will only judge them based on how they look.

I understand, however trump has never said he believed in kid beauty pageants. This show also gives a bad name to other kid oageant systems, look up National american miss, its a great kid pageant, in fact anything that parents do on this show, is pretty much a quick way to get disqualified at a national american miss pageant(which doesn't allow make-up, glitzy clothes, or over done hair pieces). Plus you have to do volunteer work, and make friends.

Hailey already looks older than her age even without makeup, she's only six but I thought she was at least eight when I first saw her! So then with the makeup she looks practically like a teenager! Well, all of them look way too old with makeup! I don't think there's anything wrong with girls being in competitions where they dance, but I don't understand why they need to be plastered with a bunch of makeup to look like they're ten years older than they actually are.

I was in pageants when I was younger and I enjoyed them (when I won) but I won't let my daughter in one. I understand the idea of self esteem but what are you saying to your child when they don't win? You weren't pretty enough, that girls hair was better, dress was better. I wouldn't say mothers do it relive their dreams it becomes like family.I teach my daughter to have self esteem but I also teach her everyone is beautiful and its not a competition.

Jayden is a beautiful child even with no makeup on, but with the makeup, hair, and the green dress she is stunning, and Haley is gorgeous as well. I think it's amazing how u can take an okay looking even in some cases, sadly to say not cute child and put on the makeup, hair ect. and they are cute as buttons. Isabella is a doll, I wonder how she sees without the glasses on stage, contacts? When she is old enough to officially wear contacts she will be gorgeous.
