what is the technique you use for the first few chords? (where you strum the chord ,then hit the A) where you press on the frets and release them slightly??

@Lisaalt i don't know if theres a proper name for it but i'd call it string muting, where the length of the chord is cut by releasing the pressure on the strings.

@Maidenize666 it took about a day or 2 to learn it note for note, but i've always known how to roughly play it so i had a good headstart. Its an Ibanez RG470 custom.

Nice video man, very tidy indeed. Best I've seen yet. There's some schmo teaching dude who's quite popular round these parts and it was way better than his, congrats. I've already been criticized myself for leaving comments and not having any vids of myself uploaded. But I guess if I had to be hyper critical: a TINY bit of artistic licence at the start of the solo, where the vibrato sounded more like Vai than Jake. But 99.9% was on the button my friend. I certainly couldn't do better.
