Well I know the book starts off that way, I did read the book. I'm just saying that I never seen that part of the beginning before because it wasn't on the VHS.

I don't remember this being in the beginning, I have the VHS version and they don't show this at the beginning. It skips all the way to the scene where they are waiting for Dally at the cornor to go the movies.
