  • Love the tone with the Maxon and Strat, sounds great. And I agree with you - if you wanted to demo the amp alone, you would have.....what is backguitar thinking?? WOW.

  • Great tone - what speakers are you using?

  • you didn't crank the amp... :-(

  • If your a marshall lover, just get an JMV410 Head. Then you dont need a pedal!

  • Hey I was wondering does the 1969 tvcab have a switch for stero as well or is it ONLY mono? Nice set up!

  • sounds like your playing the monkee's song pleasant valley sunday?

  • I had this amp. Awesome amp!!!

  • nice sound! are you using staggered poles in your pickups?

  • @lakbass thanks, yes i do

  • @paobolo that explains why you have a really sweet neck sound.

  • yr deluxe strat is setup wrong , the height of yr pickups is all messed up

  • You need to run the amp loud to make it sound good.. Crank it!

  • re these jj tubes???

  • this is the one with 30w and gz34 right?

  • Take out the maxon. No one can evaluate an amp soud with an OD pedal in front!

  • @Backguitar The video title says "Marshall JTM 45 RI + Maxon OD9 + Strat" not "JTM45 RI evaluation". I have a JTM45 and a strat and love trying different OD's in front of it but never the Maxon so this is helpful. More than anything it's a demo of paobolo's setup and tone not a video made specifically for your interests. Just enjoy.

  • @darryleyeman If it helps, the Maxon's just a rebranded ibanez tubescreamer TS9, although I'm sure you can tell that from the photo.

  • @KX36 Thanks, it does help. I have a Ibanez TS-808 and a Fulltone Fulldrive which would be similar.

  • JTM45 The best overdrive in the world!!!!!!!!

  • Do you play Rabies from the Dogs of Love by the 101'ers at the begginning of the video?

  • The beginning sounds to me like Paperback Writer by The Beatles.

  • great sound !

you didn't go too heavy on the gain too, which is nice.

could you please tell me what that chord at 3:40 was ? sounded really cool ! thanks

  • It's a B7sus4 played in 7th Position like this 797977

  • or maybe it's a 7th chord with a suspended 4th :)

  • 16 Ohm´s, but you can also connect 2 cabinets through 8 ohms.

  • is it possible with just one 8 ohm? and what tubes do you have in this?

  • does your amplifier had 8 ohm´s output for speaker?

    cheers.

  • Nice stuff man. see what you think of me jammin with a JTM45 RI. Cheers
