I love hearing about our Pagan origins. I think it's beautiful that people hold on to these traditions! I live in Maryland - I would love to visit a pagan group to learn such history.
Yule can be attributed to the Norse, especially the Yule name (yule log which they burned) the stocking idea goes to Odin who was the original Santa. The lie called "saint nicholas" was a brutal murderer and sexist. There was nothing "merry" about him.
If you strip christianity down to its origins before they STOLE everything from the pagans... They are a hollow religion of warfare, slavery and controlling peoples lives.
@PaigeMontague I also love your pendants. I was first drawn to your videos because of the magnetism that I feel coming off of them. They are both aesthetically and spiritually gorgeous. :) The bottom one ... lapis lazuli?
I tried on many religions and none of them fit me. I very recently thought that Wicca was my Path. It is not. All along, my soul has been telling me that spiritualism is my path. My intuition told me this as a little girl, in a world that forbade it.
I still feel bad about my past. It has been causing me much distress lately, thinking of all the people I have pushed away because I was deceived and forced to try to convert them. This happened a number of years ago. I was not an authentic Christian. I never wanted to be. I just wish I could have been raised in a non-conflicting reality.
Much of my suffering as a teenager revolved around Fundamentalism.
@DayMare2000 Interesting story. Better that you were able to get out of that horrible, painful life and situation than to still be stuck in it. You may be distressed about some of the things that happened or people that you pushed away but now you have a chance to better yourself and address all the bad that happened and change it. Better to be where you are now than still stuck where you were. You are freer now.
@PaigeMontague True. All things happen in our life for growth and understanding. The best part is that I am able to see lucidly and I am therefore able to move on. :)
@PaigeMontague Thank you for taking your time to make educational videos, despite all the ignorance.
I must tell you that I was once mislead to believe that Christianity was the ultimate truth of the seasonal holidays. I was brainwashed, told I was going to hell, and that my pedophile father was going to rape me. I'm an incest survivor. My mother did this to me; she's a Pentecostal zealot. I ended up "witnessing" to people because I was threatened if I didn't. I upset many and was not forgiven.

@DayMare2000 Thanks for watching. That pendant is actually a glass pendant of a goddess. It's sparkly purple.
