Theyre actually pretty smart. They just listened to Dead or Alive 3 fans and realised that the girls looked so good in it that they should make a game that revolves solely around the girls.

The only mistake they made imo is naming the first game 'extreme beach volleyball'. The volleyball gameplay is too shallow for that.

I got Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 because I bought the first one for the original Xbox. I liked DOAXBV because, while it was subtle fanservice, it was fun. DOAX2 was not as fun as it's predecessor. Why? The copious amounts of clichèd fanservice, tiny bikinis, and jiggling breasts polished up and disguised as a sports game. The original fell into the same category, but if it wasn't for the collection aspect, I would have never bothered with Dead or Alive Xtreme 2.
