Rarely you see a rap group into their own music and really enjoying themselves, thats real hip hop.....even shahede doin his thing on whateva that is,,,,
yo yo yall this is real music right here yall lol...as a 90's kid i luv the feeling lol...man yall i really need for yall to check out this group named "Good Vocation"...they are dope...idk where these guys came from...real talk...check it out yall
check out the Good Vocation - far away, its a marsha ambrosius remake but not the same subject matter...its DOOOPE them dudes flipped it so cold...check out all of there music word up and check all the other music...they remind me of atcq
@chiangbang I soooo agreeee!!! Most probably will shake my booty for the Abstract dj'ing at Ace Hotel :-) :-) Anyway, no one can beat this guys in the rap game :-) :-)
this is right before rap/hip hop/whatever you want to call it turned to complete shit. all the guys from tribe cared about was rhyming, they didn't talk shit about people or other artists or talk about killing people. why can't it revert back to this attitude? sadly, it's not going to happen - at least not in this century.
woah. this just totally blew my mind. what a great late night find. thanks man, two of my favorite things (letterman & tribe) set in the late 90s. don't get no betta'
its hella sad how these kinda performances might never happen again. they just aren't as big as they used to be even though they deserve all the fame :(
This album, was a continuation of their genius of a group together, even driving the level of creativity UP with Consequence in the mix. I had never seen him (quence) rap live, thanks for this clip. On the DL..yeah..this album is on the DL but does not tarnish. I prefer the album vibe better, but it's still dope live..IT must be the band playing a bit ahead of the beat..sometimes they help, in this case I'd prefer to hear the samples ATCQused originally.
All kidding aside anyone looking to get into the rap game really needs to spend some time listening to the tribe and understanding what it really means to be a hip hop head
that's just ridiculous, man. Get your facts before talking, please. Jarobi is the man who quit the group, around 1990. This is from around '96, way after, and it's CONSEQUENCE, Tip cousin, who rapped on several songs on their 4th album.
nice.. I remember this.. thanks for posting this..! And FYI .. the bands that perform on these late shows have to request having the house band sit in with them.. So in regards to the comment below, it's not the talk show who as you put it "messed up the beats" that would be the artist who in this case is A.T.C.Q. but in my opinion I don't think anything was messed up.. The band sounds great, nothing like real live instrumentation along side incredibly talented MC's...
you talkin about in the plaid? thats consequence...he runs with kanye now (well kinda)...mad people say he is similar to lupe (i dont think so)...but wateva...
right cheers man - just listened to the first couple lines "what's ya name?" "consequence" haha. probably shoulda listened harder. he's got an awesome voice
Thanks man. I do have a god complex, so thanks for the support! All kidding aside, I had this on VHS, and went through and captured all my old tapes to my Mac. It was actually a lot of fun. Thanks for the comments! I waited all night at Tower Records for this album, as well as the subsequent concert tickets.
