  • I'm here cause i heard it on Napoleon Dynamite and i fell inlove with the song instantly

  • contrary to popular belief.. . contrary to popular belief

  • This song never fails to make me feel happy.

  • I'm here because I felt like listening to this song.

  • i'm ere because someone i loved lent me the cd, many years ago

  • @MrBewls

    WHO CARES

  • I came here because of E-dubble and his song Harmonium..

  • Yes, a new Harmonium must rise in Sigil. The Lady of Pain ejected order from her city at the end of the Faction War, and we must bring it back by any means necessary.

  • Fuck your annotations

  • @shockraid1 ok.

  • @cocksnap123 contrary to popular belief

  • Can you remove the pause annotation so that the music isn't interrupted while you point out the obvious?

  • @gnomeater Just hit the little Speech Box next to the "240p" and it'll turn off all annotations for the video. Including the pause annotation

  • Did you really have to put a pause in the video to point out the obvious?

  • Very cool song ....makes me feel good ;-)

  • This was on Napolean Dynamite? o . o

I never knew...I always knew it from She's Having a Baby. XD

  • I feel like this song should last a little longer....it would save me from having to click the replay button.

  • Saw them live yesterday.. fucking amazing!

  • this music is pretty smooth....contrary to popular belief

  • i saw a folk band called 'four men and a dog' play it at beautiful days festival on strings and drums and it was amazing. top tune

  • this song was also in a preview for shes having a baby before the ferris bueller's day off vhs and it was in the end of napoleon dynamite.

  • @bigheadrs87 It kinda gave you that feeling of a happy ending in Napolean Dynamite, Uncle Rico met his old wife, his bro had his Lafawnduh, and he helped Pedro become that class prez.

  • I'm sorry at that fun fact at 2:03 WTF

  • I NEED to see these guys again live... best set i think ive ever seen <3

  • OMG the song from Napoleon Dynamite! I've been wanting to know what this was called...

  • They played this at a ceilidh i was just at!!!! :D its amazing!!

  • I think of Ted Mosby from HIMYM, when someone say "Fun fact No..."

  • 240p!! D: D: D:

    Oh wait...

  • democracy is dead :(

  • I heard this song on Pandora and loved it. I link this song to someone else, and their reaction is "Napoleon Dynamite!" I've never seen that movie and I never want to, but I was really annoyed that the song wasn't appreciated for its own merit. :/

  • @darkroomdoor They play this on Pandora? Cool! I've never visited Pandora myself but I hear the tall blue chicks are amazing!

FUN FACT #9: I can't sit still when I listen to this or "Perpetuum Mobile" (AKA: Mary and Max (2009) Main Theme) which is just as catchy, contrary to popular belief!

  • My father let me listen to this when I was young. And now I hear it agian. It's great.:D

  • Those annotation comments are bloody brilliant!!!

  • Its sad most of you are here because of a film. These guys are amazing, i saw them this weekend and they bought me to tears. I cant wait until i can see them again <3

  • @TheDaniiPop how is that sad? If another form of medium brings more people to appreciate and become fans, why is that a bad thing

  • @TheDaniiPop you, good sir, are a dumb ass.

  • @DarchiFilms0 i think u might find its you who is the dumb ass :)

  • It's All Gone pete Tong.

  • Napoleon Dynamite!!!! <3 <3

  • when ever i hear this song i think of Pedro smiling

  • Saw Penguin Cafe last night - great stuff, and they played this track to perfection. Proper Harmonium being pedalled like mad. Their new stuff is pretty good too.

  • If you like this type in Steve mac's 'Paddy's Revenge'

  • Belga Sport :D

  • i played this on my guitar gefore i even knew what it was called. thank god i have found it!

  • @Jegodiel i concour

  • this is lovely. gotta say tho patrick street got the tempo right in his version, works better.

  • Is it possible to put stuff like this up without getting done for copyright. i tried to put many Bob Dylan songs up but all of them got taken off due to copyright!! :/

  • @MrBrownbear03 "Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favor of fair use."

  • I don't know if any of you know the full scale of how this piece encapsulates what it feels like to live in the beautiful state of Idaho.

  • I dont know why but i like this one...So yea dope!

  • I heard this first on the soundtrack of an Australian a film called Malcolm (1986)

It took me over 20 years to track it down.

I love it as much today as I did on that first hearing.

    Thanks for sharing!

  • @RocksterOO1 Everytime I hear it I get an image of those little bins robbing the bank and of course the car that splits - always makes me smile:)

  • @Fizzy243 Same here Fizzy! You should check out Mary and Max!

    Same effect.

  • Also from the "it's all gone Pete Tong" soundtrack.

  • @Whatbrasins: They played Belfast recently and I missed them. Balls.

  • @rayggallagher1974 That would have been Penguin Cafe, right? Not actually the same thing as Penguin Cafe Orchestra, Penguin Cafe's a new band started by Simon Jeffes' son. I saw them with the Portico Quartet on Monday in Edinburgh and they were absolutely brilliant, setlist was a mix of new Penguin Cafe and PCO covers. Outstanding - you better catch them live some other time.

  • What's Napoleon Dynamite?

  • @x3xleggedxninja are you kidding !!

  • @x3xleggedxninja a movie

  • @Jegodiel My Cremation tune....

  • @Arjahn767 nah man, my cremation tunes gonna be that Crazy World of Arthur Brown classic "God of Hell Fire"!!!

  • You need to hear these guys play this live in a Cathedral or somewhere like that with great acoustics, fucking sublime, especially after a reefer.

  • @jefftipps Not many have the balls to reference a Cathedral in the same sentence as reefer! Kudos

  • @whatbrains I went to see the PCO in a huge 19th Century Catholic Monastery in Belfast, and i had a sneaky reefer befiore entering, probably the best musical performance i've ever heard, but i was a tad pissed off when i got the munchies and realised that the communion waffers weren't up for grabs and in fact were under lock and key in the Tabernacle.

  • I like you very very much

  • This is sweet but I prefer the version from Napoleon Dynamite. 'Like anyone could even know that'.

  • i love this song

  • 628 of the views are most likely from me...I LOVE this piece....simply amazing !

  • YAY

  • I like the version that's in the movie better.

  • such a stirring "i'm going to make a change" song

i can see why they used it in capatalism a love story

is it just napolean dynamite it's in, it sounds so familiar

  • sound like somethin from super mario RPG.

  • Cock Bending Ass Touchers

  • @cocksnap123 I tryed to nick some RED STRIPE from these nice people. It was at the REP in Brum about 1995 maybe.A band called PRAM played with them.I think it was for radio 4.

  • haha. this came on my "The Killers" play-list on Pandora. No idea how the relation was made between the two bands, but I'm happy there was. This is very enjoyable. Thanks for the upload! =]

  • frankie wyld.. top tune..

  • For some reason I remember this being in a John Hughes film - but I can't remember which one - but maybe that's just me.

  • @NothingOriginal55 You are mostly right. It was used FOR a John Hughes film in the teaser for "She's Having A Baby", but not IN the film. I remember seeing that in the "Coming Soon" portion of the Ferris Bueller's Day Off VHS release.

  • @catalystboy1 yeah i spent more time then i will own up to googling the John hughes trailer in 100s of different ways to find this piece of music which i loved in the trailer.

  • @catalystboy1 That's where I got the earworm, too- from the BETA version of FBDO's preview ("Coming soon!")

  • Awesomely, awesome music.

    Sends shivers down me spine........

  • this is in the movie Its All Gone Pete Tong also. Its an amazing movie. Napolean Dynamite is too! ^ ^

  • Thank you soooo much this song has been stuck in my head forever!!!!

  • it's all gone pete tong OST too

  • This is my favourite out of all the PCO.

It reminds me of my childhood playing monopoly with my brother who introduced me to this music x

  • CafeWorld is quite simple if you comprehend the correct build structure, and the way in which to generate coins without difficulty. If any of you would like to understand or know how I did it, go browse through the totally free guidebook at beatcafeworldXcom (replace X with . )

  • This is napolean dynamite no?

  • Michael Moore has this in his film 'Capitalism, a Love Story' as last song just before the ending credits. I love it. :-)

  • @Shakleton42 its a good track but that fat fuck Michael Moore can GO fuck himself. 85% of the stuff in his films are presented in a way that makes his facts look 100% correct. Im not saying all his facts are wrong but he uses editing to lie.

  • Damn such and imsperational song, makes my heart start pumping and thought of revolution flow like water

  • @dogma264 Alright... gay....

  • Cafe Del Mar xD

  • do you have to swear in your description of the clip?

  • Agreed. Pretty lame description.

  • Even with our fucked up country, this song makes it all a funny joke. lol

  • 1:03 from that point on, it reminds me of professor layton and the curious village

  • this song was first used on the 80's movie "She's Having A Baby" with Kevin Bacon.

it wasn't for another 15yrs or so, that Napoleon Dynamite used it, and made it popular again amongst a younger generation.

however, this is the kind of song that doesn't get old or tired, as it is very energetic and upbeat.

  • ha we're playing this in orchestra..

  • something like this coulda been used in juno lol

  • ][_ (0) ][_ I agree

  • no.

  • cut pickle WTF!!

  • Rock it out to Napoleon, yo.

  • just a word. wow

  • when I first heard this song, i was sitting in the car with my dad, and we were waiting on the road. we didn't found the refrain xD

my father said that this strong is the strangest he's ever have heard xD

and he was right but I think this is very good. :D

  • I love love love this song. The version I have is a little different. Napoleon Dynamite is such a great movie. Gotta love it :) Great great great stuff.

  • i saw then play live at womad

  • Awesome this song plays at the end of Micheal Moore's new documentary

  • Michael Moore, the most sold-out of all sell-outs.

  • Sehr hübsches Lied

  • This is the song at the end of Napoleon, but it's not the correct version. Patrick Street's version is the one that plays in the movie. If you think I'm wrong, go compare the two and you'll see.

  • No shit. This audio was ripped from the video with the same title, except this one is just a blue background with white text saying "Penguin Cafe Orchestra - Music for a Found Harmonium"

The other video is the one being performed by the penguin cafe orchestra, which I think2 is better than the patrick street video and this video.

  • what part of Napoleon Dynamite was this in?

or was this just the beginning?

  • i think it was the ending credits

  • The ending, like, 5 minutes of Napoleon Dynamite.

  • around when pedro is elected president

  • this is the bit after napoleon does his famous dance skit for pedro

then the film does like an ensemble of things showing stuff working out for each character; pedro becomes pres, rico meets his ex, napoleon gets to play tether ball with that girl

its right near the end of the film

  • in the end when every thing works out

  • I subscribed to you.

  • Then... why are you here?

  • I've been looking for this song! Awesome.

  • It was written by an Englishman.

  • Kind of has a different sound to it but I like it

  • what happened to the version on napoleon dynamite?

  • that's the version by patrick street. look them up on here.

  • I can totally picture that as a funeral song. You're so right! haha

  • This was also in Year of the Dog starring Molly Shannon and Peter Sarsgaard. :D

  • Love this tune..Wonderful Thankyou !

  • that's pretty silly if you can listen to it here...

  • Sweet...
