I sure hope its slowed down, that combat scene killed every bit of hype ive had in me for the past 2 years. Looked slow, and clunky, like the combat in crisis core. (Crisis core is an awesome game)
I hope they weren't blowing hot air when they said they were incorperating Crisis Core/Kingdom Hearts-esq combat system with what I assume from them being so vague is the shooting mechanics of Dirge of Cerberus. I haven't bought FF13 but I did buy FF7:CC and if this is anything like they say and be this gorgeous I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Agito looks very much like a buy, either way.
I hope they´ll keep FFversus13 PS3 exklusiv and don´t change it... that will save us the unnecessary fanboywar -.-
And yeah, I´m going to buy versus and agito, I hope they ´ll be better than the first part of the fabula nova crystallis saga (although it wasn´t a bad game)....
I hope they keep the FF13 battle system i really liked it it kept me on my toes insted of some of the older FF games where it took like 5 min to kill a rat because of loading
@douchewithlegs Haha yep their releasing both FFversus 13 and Agito. But when both of those games are released you know what they will be finishing up on.....Kingdom Hearts 3! But as far as I know FF versus 13 will be a PS3 exclusive but Im not sure so far on Agito though.
This is the only final fantasy games I ever liked and most likely ever will like if they are the only ones after these two where you can move during battle(not turn based).

13 was shit. Great to look at, but the game itself was shit. Versus isn't really going to be a "Final Fantasy game" so to speak, since it's so far from it's roots so I'll be giving it a shot and I know next to nothing about agito because I lost interest in the series, but i'll probably give that a try as well.
OMFG why don't they leave it at where it sells best. Turn based is what made final fantasy. I hate every ff they;ve made since 10 because the having to dodge everything and enemys attacking you every five seconds makes it really difficult and makes it boring because you spend half of every battle just healing ffs. 13 made it so every monster after the second disc took about as long as a boss to defeat, it was ridiculous and so my brother and I haven't touched it since May. CHANGING AGAIN WTF []!
@ThePetewar don't be stupid 7crisis core was made after 10 and I've seen people who can beat Minerva (10000k hp) without taking a single damage (ok just one ~special~ hit) ... for 12 use auto-heal abilities ... 13 if you're good, with genji glove (even without) you can beat any normal enemy in less than 30 seconds I've even seen people beating Long gui (16000k hp) in 4 minutes ... and if you don't know in ff5 (gba version) there is a RANDOM ENEMY called Hades which is harder than neoexdeath
@ThePetewar this is FF13 VS so its different than 13 and the other games they add new gameplay to make the gameplay fresh because alot of fans complain about it so i guess square takes on that.

they should let you view all the cutscenes after you finish the game, ff13 did not have that for some reason and it had amazing cutscenes, now i have to watch them here.

ok i expected more from the TGS this year, only 30 Seconds? But the GAmes look awesome. The dark and also bloody style of versus will be a good contrast to XIII. I think this game will defenitly Kick-Ass
by the looks of it there is probably no more stagger like final fantasy 13 and does anyone know what they mean when they say gameplay is like kingdom hearts only more realistic
@spartanrifle34 Well, most of the Final Fantasy games consist of some sort of turn-based battle system. Whilst the Kingdom Hearts series consist of real-time battles.
Basically, you'll most likely enjoy more freedom in battles (like moving around, attacking and doing other miscellaneous things), in contrast, FF XII doesn't allow any kind of freedom other than choosing an action for your character (during battles, of course).

Can't wait! Versus is gonna be so much better than FF13 its not even funny. I hope it's out by the end of next year. I don't really care if it is ported to the 360. I'm thinking about getting a 360 soon but I'll still buy it for the PS. The FF13's port changed nothing in terms of gameplay. The game was already finished when they started porting it to the 360 so, the game was just as linear before the port as it was after the port.
@roswellmax Well they have said that versus is almost done, and 11th January they are going to show Versus and Agito and give us info about it. So there might be a chance for a 2011 release.

@EsperTinaVI I know they haven't said it but as tetsuya nomura has said that it's soon time to work on KH 3, I'm assuming versus is almost done (and by almost i think 5-10 months at least). But we will see more about it at 11th January, and if we are lucky we might get some good news but most likley we will only see some new footage. I do believe it will come out fall 2011 and i expect a release date to be announced at E3.
@MrForzum he can still work on KH3 and Versus at the same time you know. he's worked simultaneously on games before. i believe it will be out in let 2011. But then agito is supposed to come out before versus so I would expect it to be released like mid-late or late 2011, then they would have to distance the games' releasings so then Versus might not come out until early 2012.
Square Enix said they can't commit to a 2011 release guys, so we might, MIGHT, not see this game until 2012. But, awesome news. There will be a Fabula Nova Crystallis conference on January 11th (a long wait, I know) and they will be announcing new games for the compilation (and they haven't even finished the ones they already announced!), I'm assuming 1-3 because there are only 3 more to announce, to my knowledge. I think it is ridiculous that the only gameplay they showed of versus was what we have seen in screenshots, and plus it doesn't look like the best of gameplay, infact it looks like another hack and slash. I don't see how people say Versus is going back to the roots of final fantasy when it is so off from the actual formula of what Final fantasy is, Agito however has really caught my interest, not that Versus hasn't i just think that agito looks like the better game:)
Gameplay isn't just battle gameplay, it's interacting with the environment. The reason this game has great potential by "going back to its roots" is because it's an open world. If you played any other Final Fantasy other than XIII, you'll understand that you have a car, airship, and world map that'll allow you to go wherever you want, whenever you want. That plus the fact that it's supposed to be the darkest FF yet and Tetsuya Nomura is director also give us hope.
@brokenwings0207 I have actually played every final fantasy 6 being my favorite:P But i know about all the come backs like a car, and an airship, which to me are not that fun anyways because its just like moving around normally but really fast, but to have the feature to use the airship and also go inside it like final fantasy 4 Lunar whale would be cool, and im not saying it looks bad, the game looks great on a graphical level, just Agito has more of my interest right now.
Btw, the HUD (commands, health points, etc.) is missing. They took it out because they didn't want to give the battle system away yet, so we don't know if this is an actual hack 'n slash like Kingdom Hearts or not, which it's said to be similar to, but not exactly since it's Final Fantasy, not KH.
Either way, we have to wait until January 11 for the Fabula Nova Crystallis conference for official public details about these two games.
It's been a long time since I played XII, so I can't honestly remember if it's like that or not. What I'm hoping for is the ability to switch between characters at any time during battle, and if the person you're controlling dies, you automatically switch to whoever's alive so you can revive him. I didn't like in XIII how 1 character dies, and it's over even though the other two are still healthy. I hope it's not either. It looks a little too slow to be a hack 'n slash, anyway.

This game is not fully complete yet they are still working on it as we speak such as voice acting and even them redoing the maps from A to B. this is not even official gameplay let alone an official trailer the only information we have is this and a movie clip. no voice acting other than a few japanese from the Final Fantasy 7 Advert Children. no gameplay without removed details also the same thing with agito but i am looking for them all :).

I don't really see why Square-Enix has to keep everything so freaking secret and show their work only to a select few. Did they ever think that maybe showing it to more people would generate a bigger fan base, and thus more profit? And maybe if they stopped acting with gloated egos and treating their customers like dirt, that wouldn't be too bad either. They're not "better" than every other game publisher and they need to realize that. If anything they're actually kind of falling behind.

The music reminds me of ''Shadow Of The Colossus''.
The game play looks pretty cool.I really hope it has the game play that Dirge Of Cerberus has.I don't like the ''stop and choose your attack'' kind of slow game play like the other Final Fantasy games have.If FFXIII versus has the game play that Dirge Of Cerberus has,then I'll buy this game when it's released.I hope this game comes out for the Xbox 360 when it's released. at 0:21,that looks like an awesome fight in the city.

Amazing exactly the 2 things i wanted to see recently from final fantasy1
1 - A real time controllable type gameplay like kingdom hearts (IDK the actual name)
and
2 - Another classic turn based game.

@xXKidUniqueXx yeah it looks like that.. i miss that kind of gameplay but i liked the FF 12 i really don't know why they didn't like it. it has a good gameplay and have excellent story. to be honest i didn't play X=2 and XIII. i don't like to see girls as a protagonist in Final fantasy game. its kinda weird XD well i played parasite eve and resident evil 3. its fine by me playing as a girl but not in FF series

@xXKidUniqueXx according to an interview with Nomura, the battle scene in the trailer was slowed down.Dude wanted the viewers to fully admire his masterpiece by playing it slo-mo.Otherwise, it'll be to fast to catch anything,really.

Can't wait! Versus is gonna be so much better than FF13 its not even funny. I hope it's out by the end of next year. I don't really care if it is ported to the 360. I'm thinking about getting a 360 soon but I'll still buy it for the PS. The FF13's port changed nothing in terms of gameplay. The game was already finished when they started porting it to the 360 so, the game was just as linear before the port as it was after the port.

@EsperTinaVI I know they haven't said it but as tetsuya nomura has said that it's soon time to work on KH 3, I'm assuming versus is almost done (and by almost i think 5-10 months at least). But we will see more about it at 11th January, and if we are lucky we might get some good news but most likley we will only see some new footage. I do believe it will come out fall 2011 and i expect a release date to be announced at E3.

@MrForzum he can still work on KH3 and Versus at the same time you know. he's worked simultaneously on games before. i believe it will be out in let 2011. But then agito is supposed to come out before versus so I would expect it to be released like mid-late or late 2011, then they would have to distance the games' releasings so then Versus might not come out until early 2012.

Square Enix said they can't commit to a 2011 release guys, so we might, MIGHT, not see this game until 2012. But, awesome news. There will be a Fabula Nova Crystallis conference on January 11th (a long wait, I know) and they will be announcing new games for the compilation (and they haven't even finished the ones they already announced!), I'm assuming 1-3 because there are only 3 more to announce, to my knowledge. As well as games not in the comp. Why doesn't SE focus on the tasks at hand?

the gameplay of FF Versus XIII looks great. with freedom, jumps, blood, fights more dynamic, without the slowdown.
hopefully not have that bullshit of having to choose the attacks, let it be an attack button, another button to jump ,other button of actions, etc ...

I think it is ridiculous that the only gameplay they showed of versus was what we have seen in screenshots, and plus it doesn't look like the best of gameplay, infact it looks like another hack and slash. I don't see how people say Versus is going back to the roots of final fantasy when it is so off from the actual formula of what Final fantasy is, Agito however has really caught my interest, not that Versus hasn't i just think that agito looks like the better game:)

Gameplay isn't just battle gameplay, it's interacting with the environment. The reason this game has great potential by "going back to its roots" is because it's an open world. If you played any other Final Fantasy other than XIII, you'll understand that you have a car, airship, and world map that'll allow you to go wherever you want, whenever you want. That plus the fact that it's supposed to be the darkest FF yet and Tetsuya Nomura is director also give us hope.

@brokenwings0207 I have actually played every final fantasy 6 being my favorite:P But i know about all the come backs like a car, and an airship, which to me are not that fun anyways because its just like moving around normally but really fast, but to have the feature to use the airship and also go inside it like final fantasy 4 Lunar whale would be cool, and im not saying it looks bad, the game looks great on a graphical level, just Agito has more of my interest right now.

Btw, the HUD (commands, health points, etc.) is missing. They took it out because they didn't want to give the battle system away yet, so we don't know if this is an actual hack 'n slash like Kingdom Hearts or not, which it's said to be similar to, but not exactly since it's Final Fantasy, not KH.
Either way, we have to wait until January 11 for the Fabula Nova Crystallis conference for official public details about these two games.

It's been a long time since I played XII, so I can't honestly remember if it's like that or not. What I'm hoping for is the ability to switch between characters at any time during battle, and if the person you're controlling dies, you automatically switch to whoever's alive so you can revive him. I didn't like in XIII how 1 character dies, and it's over even though the other two are still healthy. I hope it's not either. It looks a little too slow to be a hack 'n slash, anyway.

This game is not fully complete yet they are still working on it as we speak such as voice acting and even them redoing the maps from A to B. this is not even official gameplay let alone an official trailer the only information we have is this and a movie clip. no voice acting other than a few japanese from the Final Fantasy 7 Advert Children. no gameplay without removed details also the same thing with agito but i am looking for them all :).

I know there will be airships because there always has been airships in FF but I wonder if we'll be able to control them since we couldn't do so since FFX. I don't really see why Square-Enix has to keep everything so freaking secret and show their work only to a select few. Did they ever think that maybe showing it to more people would generate a bigger fan base, and thus more profit? And maybe if they stopped acting with gloated egos and treating their customers like dirt, that wouldn't be too bad either. They're not "better" than every other game publisher and they need to realize that. If anything they're actually kind of falling behind.
