Diabetes is hard on family. I go to school at Madonna Serving Special Needs Students. 7 years old boy name is Louie Rotella 4th have type1 diabetes. My dad have type 2 diabetes. I am 16 years old. My dad was disagonsed with disabetes when I was a baby. My dad been diabetic since for 16 years now.

i got diagnosed exactly one week before my birthday and i had to stay in the hospital till my birthday i got to leave the hospital once with my mom and a nurse only to almost passout as we walked out the door ,of the hospital its been a battle but im happy i live a normal life well almost normal its scary when your little and the doctors tell you if you dont go to the hospital youll die its a scary thought so i live and pray as if each day were my last

ive had type 1 diabetes since i was 1 1/2 and coming up to my 13th year of having it and crystal its called juvenile diabetes cause normally its diagnosed in under 11 and because im in england they dont give you pumps like in america so ive got to do 5+ injections a day and i have to take 2 tablets because i have an underactive thyroid caused by my diabetes which happed when i was 10 and i put on 3 stone in 2 months and it gets worse when you a teenager because all your mates are eating chocolat

I feel sooo bad for you, in england why don't they perscribe pumps? I was recently diognosed and I am going to ask my doc about the pump. Life on multiple daily injections is hard because everything has to be planned out carefully. I am sorry that you cannot have a pump.

Well done video! Really had me in tears too. My son was diagnosed at age 2 1/2. My husband was diagnosed at age 10, so I feel your pain and have been through it all (so far). My husband felt responsible at first, but no one is to blame for this disease. All we can do is live with it until a cure can be found. God bless.

My name is Rodolfo, I have been diabetic for 9 years, Im 21 right now.I know how this feels.But really because I m diabetic I live a healthy life, I play basket ball and I do everything that all boys at my age can do. The only difference is that I need insulin shots and I cant eat like every one else, but seriously because I m diabetic,I love life more, I cant believe those idiots who spend time drinking and not doing sports or anything that is not what life is about. THIS KID IS MY HERO.

Diabetes is very hard on the whole familey.

I have had type one for exactly three months.

My Dieabetes doctor said that I would get my pump by the summer, but since I have to have sugery in three weeks,for an unrelated matter I will be geting my pump in three months so it will help.But I realized in the vid. that he pricked the end of his finger but I found that if you prick the side of the finger it hurts alot less.

Beautiful. I feel his pain and yours as a parent. I was diagnosed in 1958 when I was 3 1/2 years old. I am now 52 and in April of 2008, I will receive the Joslin Medal for having lived with Type I for 50 years. Life, although difficult with diabetes, can be accomplished and your son can live a fairly normal life dispite his diagnosis. I married at 21 and had my first and only child at age 38!
