Panduit Corp's Jack Caveney donated $10,000 to the campaigns of Wisconsin's Temporary Governor Scott Walker earning this company a place on the Wisconsin Boycott list. So be sure and Boycott Panduit Corp and their customers. Be sure to share the message with EVERYONE you know. Panduit? Wisconsin is CLOSED for your business!
Panduit's headquarters was built with the help of millions of state of Illinois tax dollars in the form of a tax credit with the promise of hiring and retaining a certain number of employees. The contract with the state of Illinois has a clause that Panduit complies with all equal employment laws and the ADA. Sadly, that is not the case. Despite making record profits, Panduit proceded to lay-off long-term older employees and those who had health issues -- and move production out of the US.
Not the best, but leaps and bounds from the worst. As for the ongoing debate, it is called CAT6a. A for augmented. They have the extra thick wire wrapping around for separation in the horizontal runs. Since 10gig is prone to Alien Crosstalk (bleedover of signal between two different cables.)
Then, what happens when one of those Cat5 cables don't work anymore? Hmm? haha, Dude seriously, that would be a pain in the freaking assssss. Doubt that'll ever happen, but still..
That does look like 10Gbe with LSOH sheathing. Look at the sheathing bulging with the divider to ensure that two of the same pairs in different cables are lying next to eack other on a long run. Looking at it, I would say it is a data centre, hense the 10Gbe and number of cables.
Are you sure that's 10 gig? The outlets are UTP? If you installed UTP 10 Gig it must have taken ages to test for Alien cross talk. Panduits 10 Gig shielded solution has shielded modules and thick grey cable..?
Nice install though! - what containment is that above the FiberRunner used to route the copper?
Yes, i'm doubting that its 10Gig aswell. Cisco (The leader in 10gig solutions) just announced copper 10gig. Perhaps we are talking about 10Gig cable (Cat 7), though that amount of cable is enough to distribute to an entire office building, and no clients have 10Gig nics, none.
