I can appreciate a guy reviewing gear and all, but don't put "NAMM 2010" in the title because you aren't doing this at NAMM and some of us are looking for videos of the NAMM show, not a million and one gear reviews.
TTK: I love your videos and the products you review. I really like how connected you are with your listeners but like snuif9 said, I would appreciate it if you tried playing some different riffs/genres when reviewing stuff.
excellent review thanks im thinkking of getting this one for my mesa DC-5
i also would aprreciate it if you play some thrash/death metal riffs too with your reviews alot of people play that style and so i can even easier see if the product is right =)
I've got V1 and I love it. I got it because the markup on Tubescreamers is ridiculous in Canada but I was pleasantly surprised. Not a huge fan of the concentric treble/bass knobs but I don't mess with them much anyway.
How would you compare it to the normal cool cat overdrive? I wasn't a big fan of it to be honest, as it felt like it thinned my tone a lot. Is this different to you?
It makes me furious. Actually, I am not allowed to play copyrighted music, or I risk getting my videos muted and / or pulled. So, my options are limited to TTK Licks. I hope you understand and aren't as mad anymore:-) thanks! Keep the faith!. I'm just trying to provide a service, while having fun! Thanks, TTK
Hey TTK, I'm a big fan of your videos. This was a great review; I was just wondering if you would consider doing at least some of each demo in Standard tuning? I find it easier to appreciate the real tone of something in Standard. Thanks, rock on!
V2 has the switching options that V1 did not have. The CC-TOD is a PaulC Audio Timmy Clone. They made V2 to 'differentiate' the pedal from his but ended up making it more like his Tim pedal that way.
Sounds nice, I've heard good things about these before; certainly does a decent job. Love these videos btw, wouldn't mind seeing a comparison of some graphic EQ pedals like MXR 10 band, Boss GE-7 & Dan Electro Fish n Chips.
I used to have the Dano Fab Tone Distortion, at the time I thought I loved it, then i thought i hated it because it wasn't a boss pedal, but now looking back on it I think that it could have been a good pedal knowing that i could tame the distortion with my guitars volume. TK Rocks!

can you have a video where your guitar is clean instead of driven?
DuhJeffmeister 11 months ago
i have the version 1 of this pedal, and it's a LOT of pedal. Definitely the loudest overdrive i've owned, and sounds great.

Your demos are the best! I really learn a lot. Ever consider doing a demo of the Okko Diablo? Thanks for the great vids.

you've heard of pro guitar shop demos? Its wierd... they play copyrighted licks in almost all of their videos and none of them are pulled or muted.

Wow sounds really good! I use an ibanez turbo tube screamer modded by Keeley. Sounds alot like that. I run it right in front of the amp!

I think i like this Jet city amp & sounds really good with this pedal. It helps the harmonys come through. I like your classic TTK riff :D
Thanks for this upload, take care!

EQ pedals next please! Id kill to see MXR 6 or 10 band EQ, Danelectro Fish N Chips, or even the boss equalizer.
Awesome reviews TTK. Love this pedal.
somehornybastard 2 years ago
The Boss GE-7 EQ is better than the 6 band MXR EQ (Black one). I like all the other MXR pedals tho', even the ZW-44, which is pretty unreliable.
bleedingfly 2 years ago
It really depends if you need the volume boost/cut on the BOSS rather than a deeper frequency boost/cut on the MXR.
