If the Kid's couldn't get the bullets so easily, maybe they wouldn't have been able to go through with it. I think it's fucking awesome that these boys went to Kmart and got them to stop selling the bullets. I'm sure a lot of you would be thinking differently about who to blame if you had bullets in your body and the wounds and scars to show it. I feel for these kids and fully support what they did. I have no idea what it was like in that school but clearly they do and this helps them cope. =]

I was born and raised in south dakota, I live in Iowa.. and NO ONE hunts with automatic weapons... and it's possible to hunt with revolvers.. but no one does. Civilians have no reason to be using such powerful fire arms.

I dont think anyone was necesarily to BLAME for this... but Kmart is everywhere... everyone goes to Kmart. Kids go there. The Columbine kids were able to get SO much ammunition with no problems and easily. Nobody questioned them. Maybe they could have been planning a shooting. If the bullets aren't so readily available, they might reduce things like that.

I understand what you're saying, and I aggree, but there's many different angles that need to be addressed.
Preventing kids from getting guns would reduce gun related deaths. Guns can have trigger locks, or just be kept in a safe/case. This reduces gun related deaths, and allows "responsible" people to own guns.
Screening is still a good idea, but it must be used properaly! To solve the controversy there, screening's should also supply evidence that the person is/was planning something.
aha but the only purpose of a firearm is to kill, whether it be animal or human. Also, hunting is useless and senseless these days. Everyone in North America doesnt NEED to hunt.

The thing is though, the 995 Carbine that did a bulk of the shooting wasn't a pistol nor was it an assault rifle. Shotguns were also used.

The Columbine kids were able to get SO much ammunition with no problems and easily. Nobody questioned them. Maybe they could have been planning a shooting. If the bullets aren't so readily available, they might reduce things like that.

What will limiting or stopping the ammunition for law abiding citizens do...just that stop the selling of ammunition to law abiding citizens. Criminals will get ammunition from else were. He shows that America has equal accessibility to firearms and ammo as other 1st world countries, yet America has an exponentially higher gun violence rate. Why?

I understand what you're saying, and I aggree, but there's many different angles that need to be addressed.
Preventing kids from getting guns would reduce gun related deaths. Guns can have trigger locks, or just be kept in a safe/case. This reduces gun related deaths, and allows "responsible" people to own guns.
Screening is still a good idea, but it must be used properaly! To solve the controversy there, screening's should also supply evidence that the person is/was planning something.
