I agree with most of what you just said. But this Scheuer guy thinks if we get blown up we'll "wake up" and do what he has been wanting us to do. He wants us to get hit so we implement his ideas. And I wasn't implying that he was a tyrant. He himself would never actually do anything. But terrorists, for example, use violence to achieve a political goal. Here's the relevant quote: Art. 4 Section 3 "Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort." Conservatives actually openly rooting for a terrorist attack now and then Beck to throw in his 2 cents at the end saying "which is why if I were him (Bin Laden) that is the last thing I would do now."
Notice the catch 22 in Beck's logic. If no attack comes it won't be because any effort by the Obama administration or our military counter-terrorism experts.
Nope it will be because Bin Laden choose NOT to attack us and thereby let Obama destroy us internally.

I would accept that argument except for the fact that there is no "idol worship" of Obama going on. The only people whining about "messiahs" and "worshiping" are the righties, who mischaracterize Democrat support for the President. In FACT, criticism of Obama FROM THE LEFT is far louder and more open than ANY criticism we ever saw of Bush from the right!
