  • Excellent. Easy. Very common man. Love it. Faved and noted for future reference.

  • How do you clear the ashes

  • @ASSEMblerEX It's very fast, just rotate one of the vertical blocks a bit and pull the ashes out the back, then rotate it back into place. It only takes a minute.

  • this seems like it would be a great idea for boiling maple sap to make a small amont syrup for your own use. neat demanstrtion.

  • @iwanderabout Good idea! Thanks!

  • I just wonder why you are just boiling water when this is a perfect opportunity to make some spicy hot sauce!?!? Ha, great stove Cliff, glad to see it up and working!

  • @Solarnowable Man, you're going to have to build yourself one and make up a BIG batch of that there harissa stuff so you can flame your innards to your heart's content!

  • Very nice! I use a wood stove to heat up chemical reaction mixtures but it's massively inefficient and burns wood at an astounding rate. I might try this configuration to make the heating more focused and efficient.

    Thanks for sharing!

  • Good work, look up a "Swedish Torch"

  • @YbborNetsrek Thanks! Yes, I've seen those, but they aren't reusable and you can't really keep them going for many hours at a time like you can with a Rocket stove. Nice for when you're out in the bush without a stove, though.
