heya man i need more assistance how can i get the resolution right i cant see all of osx tools as the res is wrong, i can only get 800 X 600 :( how do i fix this
@kennydude19 I used the ati kext frrom iatkos7 and it works great for my 9500gt. i believe that kext is generic for most video cards. I can get any resolution that my monitor can handle. good luck.
@clarkkov awesome stuff! thankyou so much also can i ask, something wierd happens with the graphics like when im using an application and i move the window the graphics go all wierd but graphics work just fine with the onboard ati chipset i have on the mobo. How can i fix the issue with the nvidia geforce 8800 as i didnt know what to select in the install (custom options) for nvidia cards, i chose to use the intel kext which works with the onboard ati, how do i get this nvidia card working right
@kennydude19 8800 is fully supported, you can use OSx86Tools to enable the drivers for this card (I demo how to do this in the third part of my Hackintosh Tut on my channel).
@FischundCoProduction HDD is plugged into the first SATA port, used SMBIOS 28 and Voodoo 9.7 kernel. SATA controller set to "Native IDE". What seems to be the problem?
@FischundCoProduction I downloaded it 2 years ago...that link is no longer active. Try Leohazard, it's Snow Leopard 10.6.2, download it fromLeohazards site, just google "leohazard".
@deanhome1 No, I went directly to v7, before that I was using Kally, iDeneb and iPC. It's best to go with the latest version, like v7 or iDeneb 1.6, or even Leohazard (snow leopard). iAtkosv4 is Intel only so it won't work with Turion (AMD). ATI graphics can be tricky, so ask around if your model is supported e.g. HD4200 have only software support, HD5000-6000 are not supported yet etc.
@clarkkov hey mate what version of hackintosh would work with the following Motherboard Gigabyte GA-870A-UD3 CPU AMD Phenom X6 1055T 6CPUs 2.6Ghz RAM 4gb of ddr3 ram graphics Nvidia GTX 460
@TheParallex iAtkos S3 or Leohazard would be the best choice for your hardware. But there is a catch, your GTX is not exactly supported for now, there is a complicated procedure to make it work and it can work fully, but you have to dive in to the kexts code and what not. Do a search on insanely mac for more info about your GTX.
bro, i installed mac 10.6.4 snow leopard on my rig that has hd4200, the only problem that i encountered is that there is no sound.. but i solved it by trying different drivers! :)
@InitializeRonJames Good for you! But you'll soon realize that you dont have QE/CI support with that card. I guess it's fine for browsing the net and office work and souch, but as soon as you try video editing or graphics rendering, you'll see it won't work. If it does and you do have QE/CI with HD4200, please PM me with the drivers/kexts you used or a method you managed to get it to support QE/CI. You can check for QE/CI support in "about this Mac" under graphics adapter category.
@TheBlacklistno1 Your specs look to be compatible (nForce 500 cipset), but I'm not sure about the g card. Some guys are able to make it work just by selecting HD enabler from the DVD,but others report no QE/CI support (I guess it depends on the device ID).
@dgo401 Your hardware is compatible with iAtkos or iPC. I'm not sure about the blueray drive, it may be recognized as a regular DVD drive or not recognized at all (if it's not recognized, add a DVD drive). Use nForce kexts when installing and Voodoo 9.7 kernel.

@s0rdfish Your configuration looks compatible, I know for sure that 880G chipset will work, but there may be issues with integrated peripherals on your board (wi-fi, sound etc.), but only because I don't know what chips they're using. GTS should be supported OTB or by enabling the nvinject. Use Leohazard, it's newer than iAtkosv7 and good for AMD CPUs, supports newer hardware.
I really appreciate your hard work here. It helped make an amd hackintosh. It took a week or two to figure it out. But, it works with with iATKOS V7. 9850 quad core cpu, 9500gt evga, ga-ma785gm-us2h, wd750 hd, lg dvd burner ide ,hec750 power supply, 4gigs of ram, and an antec p190 case. You can dualboot, but it's a little more complicated to set this up. You have to have 2 separate partitions and both of them have to be primary. If you have that already, just install OS X into 2nd partition, note that bootloader will mess up your Windows boot mgr so you'll have to repair it from your XP install DVD (google this info, there is a lot of tuts for everything you need) . If you don't have multiple partitions, you'll have to format your drive
@midniter666 Tutorial on what? You can check my channel for OS X distro installation tutorial. You can check if your CPU is SSE2/3 with CPUZ app, just google "CPUZ".
Hello.I have exactly same configuration of computer. Could you please tell me which exactly kexts and fixes you selected in customization menu before install?
Main system :D, Xiezhy bootloader, USB, Apple PS/2, extra directory, DSDT, Apple Decrypt, Apple-SMBIOS-28, 9.7.0 voodoo, x86 ACPI, Disabler, OHR, ATI&VIA SATA/IDE, no sound (installed hlc662 kext), ATI HD Enabler for HD 3850, for 9400GT generate strings in OSx86Tools - no video, realtek RTL 1000, post install actions.
@clarkkov Oh. great. Thank you very much for such fast reply. I've tried iDeneb and always get problem with my USB, which stops responding when I connect 2 flash-drives, or turn on printer and scanner or something else changes among connected usb-devices. So I hope that this release will halp me, as different fixes and kexts didn't do.
It was planned under the work name iKaros (intel only) but I didn't hear about it in a while...Although, there is another Intel/AMD SLeopard distro and is working quite well, it's called Leohazard or Snow Leopard by Hazard. Go|to: leohazard dot c|o|m for more info.
@clarkkov I have Leohazard too. But I never finish installing it. It always says "Install Failed. Failed to verify the contents of the Java Package" when it's about 90%. Maybe you know this problem?
@mendozairis you should check out Hazards forum if you didn't already. I am not familiar with this kind of error, Vaios are tricky, it looks like you need to fiddle with the installation customization.
it should, but i'm not sure about the mobile CPU, they can have specific architectures, also, what ATI card are you talking about? Everithing above 2900XT works, sometimes x300 work, x1200 and legacy radeons like 9200, 9600 don't - there are no drivers for them in OSX 10.5
@123456789sha But does it work afterwards? Can you boot after you force-restart? It sometimes happens, but OSX installation is successful, it can happen because of the DVD drive, OSX can't open the tray after completing the installation - which it does by default, but this can also be a patch, SMBIOS or kernel issue. When does exactly happen? After 15-20 minutes? You can try without some patches and change the kernel and see if it'll panic then.
@123456789sha you don't have to sub me to do that. Send me the link when you up your vid so I can take a look at it. Also, if you haven't seen my tutorial about OSX you can take look at it and see if you are doing something wrong.
@HKFLX4656 The Athlon 64 x2 is better way to go, mainly because it has sse3 and Nvidia 6150SE is not supported so you will get only safe graphics mode on that card.
You have to install/select correct drivers for your audio and Ethernet devices. Find out what chips your motherboard has and then install drivers for them from the iAtkos DVD.
oh thnxz yea i installed it on my PC and it works YAY XD
only thing missing is the sound and im trying to install kext in the extension file so that i can plug in external speakers using the earphones plug :)
You can take a look at my basics tutorial, it's on my channel and you can google "install OSX on AMD PC" there are many thorough written tutorials on this topic, but be prepared to invest time and effort into this project.
it happen after i customize the driver n install mac.after the installation my pc should be automatically reboot but it not.i don't know what wrong.could it be because i choose the wrong driver?
Even if it won't reboot manually (and panics), reboot the computer. Add ACPIx86 patch, too and Install with Voodoo 9.7 kernel and try more SMBIOS enablers (one by one).
you can download ALC drivers @ insanelymac(dot)com. Just search the site, or try searching for ALC codecs for Kallyway. The provided drivers by iAtkos won't work properly for ALCxxx (which I am assuming you know).
98.9% :D It should work with no issues, but it all depends how will you set it up. Watch my "hackintosh basics tutorial" in my channel to see how to set up your graphics card...Good Luck!
Oh sorry, after reading up on this more, now I realize it's just another OS. I thought since it was an emulator of another OS, it would still be Windows coding.
I'm thinking of getting this to run on a cheap little acer. Will it work on a Raedon X1200 graphics card?
It's running natively, it's Apple code, no emulation, all hardware is running natively. But there are no drivers for your x1200, It could work, but only in graphics "safe mode" 1042x768 or 1280x1024.
i c, aniway nice job, maybe you can try with some game, dunno a cider port of half life, or CoD4, need for speed carbon, etc and make some video about the performance in games too, if you want, soon also diablo3 should come out.
but as i can see, should be pretty fast, in any task
Well, this is not a performance video, this is just a demo that OSX works on a "regular" PC. Maybe I will do the performance and capability/compatibility vide later, like with CS4 and iLife and maybe a couple of games, but it work no problem, the CS4 and iLife, FCP, iWork etc.
Ah..well I tested this iAtkos both on Intel and AMD and AMD seems to boot faster (1sec) but they work the same, of course I'm talking about equivalent processors, the Core i7 will certainly work wonders.
hey man, i have X2 6000+ and im also using iatkos v7, but my cpu temps are higher then in windows and cpu fan runs at higher RPM, do you experience the same problem?? Maybe you know how to fix this??
I have the same combination, I have decided to fix 7's boot loader and then installed EasyBCD in 7 and added an entry for OSX. You can install Chameleon 2 with the iAtkosv7, but I had no luck with it, I can't add W7 entry to it.
Check Voodoo kernel (the latest), Jmicron IDE controller, Realtek ethernet adapter 8xxx, NO VIDEO DRIVER (install the EFI string via OSx86 Tools after installation), ALC audio, select the drivers that say they support ATI chipsets, there are a couple. This way everything works out of the box, except for the audio, you have to download HLC662 codec Kalyway and install, restart and there you go...
OMFG is it easy? just install on VMware via the iso you downloaded with iatkos v7? or do you have to do a bunch of bull with CMD and patching from tiger and everything? please reply as soon as you can...i too have an AMD Athlon 64 6000+
Well, it's easy if you know what are you doing ;). This is installed as an primary OS, no VMWare or emulators. You just need to download a patched .iso image from "you know where" and burn it, then boot your comp just like when installing Windows, pick a HDD to install to (has to be FAT32 filesystem). For more info go to> insanelymac (dot) com
Realtek HD ALC662 is 5.1, not 7.1!

it should, but i'm not sure about the mobile CPU, they can have specific architectures, also, what ATI card are you talking about? Everithing above 2900XT works, sometimes x300 work, x1200 and legacy radeons like 9200, 9600 don't - there are no drivers for them in OSX 10.5
clarkkov in reply to MyNameIzWHAT (Show the comment) 2 years ago
hey i got:
AMD Athlon x2 7750
2gigs of ram
HD 2400pro 512mb
and a partition for iAtkos v7 BUT if i install it everything goes OK but when it need to reboot @ the end of the install it gets a kernel panic :(
123456789sha 2 years ago
@123456789sha But does it work afterwards? Can you boot after you force-restart? It sometimes happens, but OSX installation is successful, it can happen because of the DVD drive, OSX can't open the tray after completing the installation - which it does by default, but this can also be a patch, SMBIOS or kernel issue. When does exactly happen? After 15-20 minutes? You can try without some patches and change the kernel and see if it'll panic then.
clarkkov in reply to 123456789sha (Show the comment) 2 years ago
no man, wait im gonna sub you and put the film i recorded from the instal so you can see what it does
123456789sha in reply to clarkkov (Show the comment) 2 years ago
@123456789sha you don't have to sub me to do that. Send me the link when you up your vid so I can take a look at it. Also, if you haven't seen my tutorial about OSX you can take look at it and see if you are doing something wrong.
clarkkov in reply to 123456789sha (Show the comment) 2 years ago
If not can it work on
AMd Sempron 1250 LE 2.2GHZ
2GB Of Ram
and Nvidia 6150SE
what are the requirements for it
HKFLX4656 2 years ago
@HKFLX4656 The Athlon 64 x2 is better way to go, mainly because it has sse3 and Nvidia 6150SE is not supported so you will get only safe graphics mode on that card.
clarkkov in reply to HKFLX4656 (Show the comment) 2 years ago
@clarkkov I saw your video on how to install iATKOS v7
now i have one question
what happens after the installation if done?
HKFLX4656 in reply to clarkkov (Show the comment) 2 years ago
how did you install
btw will it work
on
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+
2GB of Ram
Nvidia GTS 250
HKFLX4656 2 years ago
Hi i have an amd sempron and i just installed iatkos an everything works fine the usbs, ram, sd card slot, cd
But my sound and ethernet and it isnt able to play dvds cuz i put one in and it says an error occured
But i would want ethernet and sound to work any ideas????
MakeupMr 2 years ago
You have to install/select correct drivers for your audio and Ethernet devices. Find out what chips your motherboard has and then install drivers for them from the iAtkos DVD.
clarkkov in reply to MakeupMr (Show the comment) 2 years ago
oh thnxz yea i installed it on my PC and it works YAY XD
only thing missing is the sound and im trying to install kext in the extension file so that i can plug in external speakers using the earphones plug :)

MrVanofthedawn 2 years ago
You can take a look at my basics tutorial, it's on my channel and you can google "install OSX on AMD PC" there are many thorough written tutorials on this topic, but be prepared to invest time and effort into this project.

i already tried but still not working...it stuck at when i finished install mac n need to reboot. can some 1 help?
MrVanofthedawn in reply to clarkkov (Show the comment) 2 years ago
Could you please explain more closer? How are you "stuck"? Have you customized and installed OSX? Also, what are your computer specs?
clarkkov in reply to MrVanofthedawn (Show the comment) 2 years ago
my pc specs...
Amd phenom quad core
motherboard asus m2n68-am
graphic card msi n9600gt 512mb ddr3
ram ddr2 800 4gb
here the prob i face.
it happen after i customize the driver n install mac.after the installation my pc should be automatically reboot but it not.i don't know what wrong.could it be because i choose the wrong driver?
MrVanofthedawn in reply to clarkkov (Show the comment) 2 years ago
Try these settings:
Install with Chameleon 2 bootloader
MCP67/nforce driver under SATA/IDE
nVidia driver for ethernet
VoodooHD audio driver
Choose the correct video driver/or no driver
Leave the rest at default settings
Even if it won't reboot manually (and panics), reboot the computer. Add ACPIx86 patch, too and Install with Voodoo 9.7 kernel and try more SMBIOS enablers (one by one).
clarkkov in reply to MrVanofthedawn (Show the comment) 2 years ago
perfect...now i can use mac on my pc,along with win7. it works perfect.thanks bro

can u put mac on a flash drive n boot it like that
rickylascaze001 2 years ago
what driver did you use for the alc 662
cloudbook1994 2 years ago
you can download ALC drivers @ insanelymac(dot)com. Just search the site, or try searching for ALC codecs for Kallyway. The provided drivers by iAtkos won't work properly for ALCxxx (which I am assuming you know).
clarkkov in reply to cloudbook1994 (Show the comment) 2 years ago
hey we have the same components :) so i fink it will works on my computer:)
a bite is different, i use a xfx GeForce 8800 GTX 768 mb, it will works with this card ?
ILMBerlin 2 years ago
98.9% :D It should work with no issues, but it all depends how will you set it up. Watch my "hackintosh basics tutorial" in my channel to see how to set up your graphics card...Good Luck!
clarkkov in reply to ILMBerlin (Show the comment) 2 years ago
This may be a dumb question, but in terminal, it's still going to be UNIX coding right? Opposed to it just being DOS
redsoxhater2468 2 years ago
What do you mean? OS X is a UNIX based OS, terminal commands are almost the same in OSX as they are in Ubuntu.
clarkkov in reply to redsoxhater2468 (Show the comment) 2 years ago
Oh sorry, after reading up on this more, now I realize it's just another OS. I thought since it was an emulator of another OS, it would still be Windows coding.
I'm thinking of getting this to run on a cheap little acer. Will it work on a Raedon X1200 graphics card?
I have no idea if it's powerful enough.
(god i hope so lol)
redsoxhater2468 in reply to clarkkov (Show the comment) 2 years ago
It's running natively, it's Apple code, no emulation, all hardware is running natively. But there are no drivers for your x1200, It could work, but only in graphics "safe mode" 1042x768 or 1280x1024.
clarkkov in reply to redsoxhater2468 (Show the comment) 2 years ago
of course
PnTnetworks in reply to redsoxhater2468 (Show the comment) 2 years ago
well in fact is full unix standard...any unix command will work, just the firewall, is different cuz they took that from bsd(ipfw)
try to use screenflow next time, i have no slowdown in videorecording with that
DarkS3phiroth17 in reply to clarkkov (Show the comment) 2 years ago
I have used Screenflow in my newest video, Snapz sucks! But I did not know about Screenflow when I made this video.
clarkkov in reply to DarkS3phiroth17 (Show the comment) 2 years ago
i c, aniway nice job, maybe you can try with some game, dunno a cider port of half life, or CoD4, need for speed carbon, etc and make some video about the performance in games too, if you want, soon also diablo3 should come out.
but as i can see, should be pretty fast, in any task
DarkS3phiroth17 in reply to clarkkov (Show the comment) 2 years ago
Well, this is not a performance video, this is just a demo that OSX works on a "regular" PC. Maybe I will do the performance and capability/compatibility vide later, like with CS4 and iLife and maybe a couple of games, but it work no problem, the CS4 and iLife, FCP, iWork etc.
clarkkov in reply to DarkS3phiroth17 (Show the comment) 2 years ago
how did you install it? coz im having a hard time installing iatkos. ive got kernel panic like
Backtrace terminated-invalid frame pointer 0
BSD process name corresponding to current thread: kernel_task
hanzpogz 2 years ago
Try asking on insanelymac(dot)com. It looks like a bigger issue. You can always try different kernels and see if one of them wont panic.
clarkkov in reply to hanzpogz (Show the comment) 2 years ago
works so much better than amd
manolete72 2 years ago
What works? This is on AMD, it's a 13 fps compressed video, it works really good when seing it live.
clarkkov in reply to manolete72 (Show the comment) 2 years ago
i know it works really good, i just reply the comment down, i test this on a intel core 2 duo and works so much better ts all !!
manolete72 in reply to clarkkov (Show the comment) 2 years ago
Ah..well I tested this iAtkos both on Intel and AMD and AMD seems to boot faster (1sec) but they work the same, of course I'm talking about equivalent processors, the Core i7 will certainly work wonders.
clarkkov in reply to manolete72 (Show the comment) 2 years ago
i got iatkos v7 on my intel pc. runs great!
thehostler in reply to clarkkov (Show the comment) 2 years ago
Would this work with a Core i7?
Kentech0023 2 years ago
Yes it would, but it wouldn't recognize all of your cores, it can see only up to 4 cores. At least that is what I heard, I know it works with i7
clarkkov in reply to Kentech0023 (Show the comment) 2 years ago
does it come with garage band
stewartjsly 2 years ago
No Garage band is a part of iLife09, you can download iLife and iWork from TPB, and install them like any other app for OSX.
clarkkov in reply to stewartjsly (Show the comment) 2 years ago
hey man, i have X2 6000+ and im also using iatkos v7, but my cpu temps are higher then in windows and cpu fan runs at higher RPM, do you experience the same problem?? Maybe you know how to fix this??
digitalsoundtouch 2 years ago
the computer is like fuck fuck fuck cant keep up with the awsomeness
XboxNerd08 in reply to digitalsoundtouch (Show the comment) 2 years ago
No I don't, what kernel did you use, what clock does the "about this Mac show?"
clarkkov in reply to digitalsoundtouch (Show the comment) 2 years ago
so how do i proceed with the dual boot?
I already have win7 x64 installed.
So do i have to fix the boot with win7 or with osX ?
v1d300 2 years ago
I have the same combination, I have decided to fix 7's boot loader and then installed EasyBCD in 7 and added an entry for OSX. You can install Chameleon 2 with the iAtkosv7, but I had no luck with it, I can't add W7 entry to it.
clarkkov in reply to v1d300 (Show the comment) 2 years ago
So you had Win7 already installed and you installed OSX on different partition?
If so, which boot loader you tried and which would work?
Also check your PM. :)
v1d300 in reply to clarkkov (Show the comment) 2 years ago
I have the same specs as you. What opptions did you check when you installed?
tasteslikewater 2 years ago
Check Voodoo kernel (the latest), Jmicron IDE controller, Realtek ethernet adapter 8xxx, NO VIDEO DRIVER (install the EFI string via OSx86 Tools after installation), ALC audio, select the drivers that say they support ATI chipsets, there are a couple. This way everything works out of the box, except for the audio, you have to download HLC662 codec Kalyway and install, restart and there you go...
clarkkov in reply to tasteslikewater (Show the comment) 2 years ago
can i install paralell windows on tis???
fuckyky 2 years ago
If you mean a dualboot setup (OSX and Win in the same bootloader), yes you can, but if you mean on Apples bootcamp, I don't know if it works.
clarkkov in reply to fuckyky (Show the comment) 2 years ago
OMFG is it easy? just install on VMware via the iso you downloaded with iatkos v7? or do you have to do a bunch of bull with CMD and patching from tiger and everything? please reply as soon as you can...i too have an AMD Athlon 64 6000+
AND CANNOT GET LEOPARD WORKING
thanks :)
brianskatesbath 2 years ago
Well, it's easy if you know what are you doing ;). This is installed as an primary OS, no VMWare or emulators. You just need to download a patched .iso image from "you know where" and burn it, then boot your comp just like when installing Windows, pick a HDD to install to (has to be FAT32 filesystem). For more info go to> insanelymac (dot) com
clarkkov in reply to brianskatesbath (Show the comment) 2 years ago
i got a 10.5.5 working on vmware I'm okay now :)
