Kanji looks like it would be the most difficult thing to master
in
the
history
of
language.
I mean come on, sure, English has a lot of different words for one thing and words that can fit in one sentence but don't fit into another at all, (like 'It fits perfectly!" but if one says "She fits perfectly." it would sound very strange..) but the Chinese alphabet is rumored to have over 300 characters, and then the Japanese went and made another, Hirigana. What's really the hardest language?
I just said, very innocently, you need to consider both sides. You need to consider that nothing is without a flaw, and you jumped to a very forward offensive. I told you I understood that people often get attacked for a love of Japan, but it's because they always charge headlong into believing stereotyping.
I'm sorry if you felt attacked, but it wasn't actually my intent. I just wanted you to tone down your arguments a little and be a little less "anti-west."
Let me respond because noone has responded to you.
for your second question a "weeaboo" is a person who likes Japan or Japanese things way too much (often for no reason else than it being Japanese). However they take it to the point of an obsession and claim Japan is the superior country to every other.
No, there is nothing wrong with liking the Japanese culture. but it is bad to limit yourself to it (If it is not your original country). And it is very bad to put down other countries (including your own) in favor of Japan.
@OniLordMiki What is wrong with putting another country over your own country? if you ask me blindingly loving your own country over others is plain retarded. I don't see the fault in loving japan over other countries in the sense that it is so incredibly different, the whole culture and how they see things is just miles different and a living dream world for alot of people. But patriots and people loving their retarded west world just can't respect that.
@Zangelin It's more retarded to worship a culture that you've never experienced from a country you've never even been to. And as I said with any country. If you don't like it there then get out. Go to your so-called "dream world" and see how long you last. You say it as if Japan is the greatest place in the world. Ignoring the Tsunami, Japan has it's own share of problems.
@Zangelin And I like how you said "west world" as if it's only the west who feels this way. Go to Korea and ask what a good portion of the people (particularly the older generation) feels about Japan. In fact tell them these exact words: "Takeshima belongs to Japan" and see what happens. Go to China and tell a local that Unit 731 was such a nice place. I DARE you.
IMHO, a country and their art are two entirely separate things. Japanese media is neato but the rest is an entirely different story.
"Country" is an awfully bold statement. "Japan's art/media/culture" against "Japan" are, realistically, two entirely different concepts. Just as the "west world" and "western culture/art/media" are.
Please, conduct your arguments with a little less hostility. I understand that love for Japanese media gets a lot of flak, but this is just blind.
@SirFuzzi Who ever said it was just their Media? What if what i meant was connected to their lifestyle and entire culture aswell? Do not call me blind for making guesses.
I did read. Your syntax is horrible, though. "Do not call me blind for making guesses." That's what you said. You probably should have tried, "Do not call me blind when you're the one making guesses," or some alternative form in which you addressed (properly) the switch in addressee.
This is why nobody takes you people seriously. All I did was point out a logical and viable possible flaw in your argument and you immediately jumped to a hostile, aggressive defensive.
@SirFuzzi Youre the only one who has been agressive here though it is slightly frustrating yo watch you point out flaws that arent there and do not understand any of what i'm actually saying. All you have been doing is status what is wrong with me, not replying to my actual argument. I'm tired of this though good day sir.
I A) already replied to the argument and B) opened up pretty placidly. Then you immediately jumped into a hardcore defensive. The flaws are very clearly there-- "All you have been doing is status..."-- and they are in fact impeding my ability to interpret what you're saying.
By the by, my initial comment was my reply, and it still stands-- you're just picking and choosing what you want to admire while claiming to admire the whole package.
.... well, then you're just ignorant. I suppose their radical ethnocentrism-- to the point where establishments forbid non-Japanese from entering-- or their ridiculous depravity, to which everyone is certainly privvy... All of the bad that you're blissfully unaware of, thinking Japan is all bushido and anime, you're saying you admire that? I mean, that doesn't even make sense anymore. That's literally the same as admiring poverty in Africa.
A lot of people hate Americans, Americans included, and only like this or that about the country. The ones who 'love America' are typically ignorant and braindead.
What's more, "ignorant and braindead people" are not America-exclusive.
So you either know about it and love it all the same (again equatable to just ignoring the problems) or you're just talking circles around yourself and should admit you don't exactly love "the whole packing" that is Japan.
@SirFuzzi You can love something even though it has faults, nothing is perfect. i mean how could you ever love ANYTHING if it has to have no faults or downsides whatsoever
Okay, so you just walked a complete circle around your original argument in these last few posts. Not to mention you're taking your sweet time getting to the core of your point, here.
My original attack was that you're admonishing others for loving their country "blindly" while charging headstrong into your love for Japan, assuming A) their love is blind and B) I guess it's somehow incomparable to yours for Japan.
Are you picking and choosing acceptable brands of patriotism, now?
@SirFuzzi It's what i said from the very beginning, you attacked me when i pointed out the lack of logic in that it's fine to love your own country but weird to love anothers.

'Hi! ^.^/
First thing, I, we all, don't like liars, how come I would be one?
I saw this video for more than 40 times, and I favored it long time ago.
Secondly, what is a "Weeaboo"?
Thirdly, if not fourthly and fifthly, what is there not to like about the Japanese?!?!!
Their (A)rt(s), Music, Culture, Style, Taste, Games, Media and Pop Culture are very appealing!
Why not?!
I am an Arab, and I love the Japanese!!
AND I am proud of it! : )
