Right on!! I'm with you on that about people not needing to leave negative comments. It's very old and tiring to see all that nonsense when some of us just want to enjoy the music and other entertainment. I also love Dolly's version of Stairway to Heaven. I've been a big fan for nearly 30 years, and she is simply fantastic. And such a beautiful person inside and out. God bless, hope you are feeling well these days or at least in good spirits... :)

How many times are you going to inform us that you recorded this song with Dolly and why tell us that you have cancer and then tell us that it doesnt concern us? I dont know or care about what part of this song you were a part of but as far as I knew or cared about is that Dolly sang it nicely.

It is a great song and I love the interpretation by Dolly Parton. I have her version on Live and Well and really love that too. There will always be narrow minded people, but fortunately music with heart and soul is stronger and transcends that. Long live music and singers/songwriters like Dolly. Well done on your site.

I think it's a fairly good version of the song. There's no doubt that Dolly is a remarkable musician, more so than some of her commercial hits would suggest - She has a talent that you must be born with, it can't be taught. The problem is that "Stairway" is such an iconic song and "hallowed ground" for a lot of people. It took guts to cover it, and I'm sure Dolly knew that going into the project. The obvious comment is - if you don't like it, don't listen to it. I choose to listen. :-)

I wish we could flag vulgar language and comments. I usually thumbs it down but flagging would be better. There is just no need for such & I am glad someone has the character to say no to it and cut it out. MANY ppl on YT are just hateful & vulgar. I wonder where these ppl come from. i didn't really like the remake, but people can stand to be a bit more civil about it. At least it is better then the linkin park's remake of behind blue eyes; but it's the internet who's population consist mainly of trolls and children..... *drops microphone and pop's collar*...."tuffy out"....

I agree. She should have the right to redo any song she wants. I'm not a fan of this particular remake, but I saw what she said about WHY she remade it, and I totally respect that. I love Dolly, and there are a lot of worse things on Youtube that people can waste their time trash-talking.

It takes a lot of guts for someone in country to do a rock classic. Cudos, Dolly.

Tuffy - hey man. I'm a huge Led Zep fan, and when I heard That Dolly was doin' Stairway, I was surprised, but with open mind and open heart I listened to her version. It literally brought tears to my eyes. It's one of the most beautiful pieces I've ever heard.

I've told more people about her version of Stairway than any other song I've ever shared with anyone. I love the blue grass feel it has. I love the gospel feel it has.

It's like Whitneys version of Dolly's I will always love you. It is a totally different type of song. I love Whitneys version, but much prefer Dolly's. Dolly's singing always makes me cry, the sad or slow songs anyways. I love Dolly so please accept my post. I am sorry for your struggles with health. My brother battled cancer for a long time, he had non hodgekins lymphoma (Probably spelled wrong) He lived but he had it real rough. Dolly is a beautiful person with the voice of an angel.

dolly's version is excellent! i cannot believe anyone would not love it. i was a child of the 70's, from nj ,not a country fan. but dolly really brought the meaning of the song home.she has the best voice going. once again i cannot beleive anyone can post a rude comment about this song

First things first. I LOVED the original. BUT. I view the Dolly Parton version as a standalone track. Its a BEAUTIFUL track and its a great piece of music and beautifully sung by someone who has a great voice and great talent.
