actually why the air under the tongue helps is cause it drys the spit buds or what ever(they need to be wet) so the movement of your jaw actually triggers the spit from the spit buds, thus coming out flying like that!

I worked out how to do this when I was a kid. I taught my brother and a school mate. My brother and I named it "geeing" which is spookily rather close to what it's called. I dont suck in air though. You can do massive streams that last a few seconds by irritating a part of your tongue on your teeth. The "sorer" your tongue gets, the better it works. You can feel the pressure build up in the saliva glands as you rub and irritate your tongue.
