I'm up to the boot detailing, I started to lose Angela around the eyelashes as it starts getting intense! I'm going to go back and tidy up all my flaws though as this really does look fantastic.
Just bought the Blenderella training DVD. Hope when I'm done, mine turns out well. Heck, if mine turns out half as good as yours, I'll be happy! Very cool!
~3 Minutes per frame x 1200 frames = 60 hours, with 2x I7 with HT (8 threads) and 1x Quad (4 threads) machines cutting it down to ~20 hours. Blender ran flawlessly.
I just got the Blenderella dvd, and I just wanted to say it totally exceeded my expectations, and is really great and concise , a superior product, totally worth buying. Are you possibly going to be doing any further dvd's or training materials/tutorials? I will buy them! oh, and thankyou btw.
It's just incredible, Angela. I still haven't seen anyone else come close to that. I'm even more blown away seeing in pose.
BTW, do you think "Rigify" is the best way to rig a character? How about for motion capture? I'm still having trouble with mocap, although I got it to work on a makehuman. I'm not crazy about the makehuman armature, and deleted it, and replaced it with the mocap armature. I know that sounds like a horrid hack, but it's the only workable solution I could find. Still trying!
Thanks! I found rigify a very convenient way to quickly test a character mesh's ability to deform/animate properly without having to build the rig from scratch. Good question about using rigify for mocap. Maybe post the question on Blenderartists(dot)org forum?
@PonderStudios Maybe. I'm disenchanted with Blenderartists forum. Anytime I post anything I there I almost never get any response and the whole thing gets buried in a day.
I'm thinking of doing tutorials here on YouTube, but not as an expert, more as an "open lab" to ask questions of other artists like you and show problems that I'm having, sort of a group Q&A or experiment or something. YouTube is still the fastest way I know to learn Blender. Quick response by the Blender community. Thanks!
