There was a short 2 year period when there were no soundcards and only 4 colour CGA where even the C64 could beat the PC. But companies like Atari and Commodore, with their hope for continuing 8 bit machine sales as well as the 16 bit Amiga and ST, didn't take into account how quickly PC would go from 4 colour to 256 to 16 million and from beeps to Adlib to Soundblaster Pro!
Animationwise, the PC version is probably the most fluent, but the above "equation" clearly shows that less is sometimes much more... with "less" meaning the technical possibilities. LN2 on the C64 was a lot more raw and still had so much feel to it. Maybe it's the "soul" we're talking about...
This shit is so far from Ninja. But if you let the music out, probably anything is shit anyway. No disrespect to the uploader, good job on the video. We rest can all listen to it anyway.
C64 version for me. Though in this the graphics look better, the lack of music spoils it. Also it looks to me that the controls could be a little tricky.
No doubt C64 version is the best. I wonder how this game could have been looking like on PC with VGA full color graphics. Or how it would be looking like on PC with 16x FSAA and 8x AF. :-D
