My dad had a few close calls the last few years with his illness, and everytime I hear this song, I think of it in the reverse sense. I hope he'll always be there to love me and watch me grow up. I cry really hard every time I listen to it but I can't stop.

But...I just noticed he has "pixie ears"....a def indication that he's had a face lift (and a bad one) where the plastic surgeon hid the stitches in such a way that they did away with his earlobes...check it out...his ear lobes blend right in with the side of his face...no definition of lobes at bottom of his ears...even wealthy people need to check their surgeon's credentials, eh?

I had a strange experience this morning. I woke from a nightmare, shouting out, didn't know where I was. Put computer on & first thing i came upon accidently was this song. I'd never heard it before. I'm getting older, & my darling Dad died while I was a teenager.Still miss him. Rough year & recently I've taken to imagining he was in the next room at bedtime, security thing. Finding this song was sort of like him telling me he was keeping an eye on me still.
