i remember going on this ride in disney land when i was younger (about 5) and wow i just loved the little city :) i am going to disney world over this whole week, and should be driving there in about an hour (it is 3:30 am) thankyou so much for this video!! brought back some memories <3
I went on this ride when I was little with my cousin in first grade. = ) All I remember is seeing Wendy on the ship on the 'diving board' and screaming "WENDY DON'T JUMP!" xD
Wtf Ariel is doing in NeverLand? Seriously, you don't see her verry welle, but when you're in the ride, you perfectly see her in the mermaid lagoon! o.O
Thanks for posting this! This was my favorite ride as a kid... ok ok... as an adult too and I'm so happy to say that it's one of my son's favorites too! :-)
omg i miss going on tht. i remember when i got to the neverland part i would say to my mom "MOMMY! We Made It! Can I Live Here Now" i was little and a rere
No official news as of yet. But there are plenty of rumors that it will be built where 20,000 leagues used to be, near Ariel's Grotto in fantasyland. If it does happen I'm sure it wouldn't be opening until after the DCA version.
I was checking to see if someone else had already posted a good vid of this ride before I put in the effort, and this one looks much better/clearer than mine. I notice how your camcorder struggled a bit with the auto-focus like mine. Must be the darkness.
Also, I notice you said something about "the cars' down in the town. I believe they were supposed be horse-driven carriages (in period), but oddly, I only just now noticed that there was the sound of an ambulance in the town below. Very odd!
Yea, my camcorder really struggles with darkness, and I didn't want to use Nightshot. I've always had issues with Sony's autofocus, it seems to hunt alot.
As much as I love Disney World / Peter Pan, I gotta say, Disneyland has the better version of this. =/ Better effects, less dirty/cheesy looking, and a real soundtrack, not just an instrumental 'you can fly' and some accordion music.
Many people seem to miss this ride, maybe because they consider it a "kiddie" ride. But it's quite charming, even for adults, with that fun flight over night-time London. I didn't ride it until my second trip to WDW, but I think it's been there since the park first opened.
This ride caught me completely off guard, but not so much from the ride aspect, but the emotional side of it. The flying over London really got me choked up.
When me and my family went ( around six) we went on this ride and me and my brother screamed at the top of our lungs when we hear the cannon balls XD

I can't wait for The Little Mermaid to open in DCA and eventually MK. It's been too long since Disney have made this type of classic ride.

This is a fun ride. I never understood why it always has like a 55 minute wait though.
joey1689 3 years ago
I'd wait an hour for this ride. Anytime there's ever talks of the Magic Kingdom, I sing this ride's praise.

do you know if the ride has any like sudden or really big drops? i am like such a wimp
llmunoz8282 3 years ago
It rides on a rail above the scenery. You are suspended above the action, but there are no sudden or big drops whatsoever.
