He had to break it out in the Hush books because Superman was being mind controlled by Poison Ivy, and though Bruce knew that hitting Clark with it was weakening him, he knew that if he kept trying to beat him with just the ring, he'd shatter his own hand because the ring itself barely affects him being so small a piece.

Wonder Woman is second in strength only to those like Superman and Darkseid, but her reflexes are great enough she blocked multiple blasts of Superman's heat vision blindfolded. She's also the best melee combatant in the JL, over Batman (this is not on martial skills alone. But how she fights and uses her powers.) Supes mostly just has boxing. Diana's not near as strong, but she could beat him.
