Power Instinct is my favorite fighting series EVER. Nothing can top it for me.
I think the reason why people overlook it is probably because it's usually pretty silly in general if compared to KOF or SF.

Matrimelee is a top-tier fighter. It evens has Rage of the Dragon characters in it. It sucks that nobody plays it cause it one of the few fighting games I skillfully mastered. Others being X-men Next Diemension, Clay Fighter 63 1/3, and a bunch of other good fighting games that nobody bothers to play.

I agree that mindset is pretty sad isn't it? I miss those bouts of Matrimelee. My friend had the Neo Geo cartridge and it all went downhill when he moved.
