  • i like every season of martin, my favorite season would be the fourth season. it comes out on dvd april 1st.

  • Tommy trying not to crack up! LOL!

  • "Whos the little man? Little man will wip yo lil swoll ass"...LMAO

  • this came on yesterday

  • look at the earring on the dancer's ear.. it goes away then it comes back, then goes away again, after every screen cut.

  • After all these years I never noticed that. You got good eyes.

  • LOL not really, I didnt notice it either until I read about it on some TV site a couple years back. I'm pretty sure hardly anyone will notice it unless they watch the same scene over and over and over again. BTW go get the Martin DVD man!! Seasons 1+2 are already out!

  • I just brought season 2 a week ago thanks.I think seasons 2 & 3 were probably his best years.

  • I liked Seasons 1-4. Season 5 kinda slurred near the end.. probably because the incident with Tisha Campbell.

  • I liked all seasons too,as far as season 5 goes Tisha's absence is definitely the main reason, also alot of plots were bad.And as much as I like Tishina Arnold,I thought Pam was acting to much like Martin in the end,it became the Martin & Pam show.

  • Yeah but still I wish the show was still on the air today, or at least for a few more years after its end date. Martin was the realist sitcom to come on TV I dont care what anyone says. Ive watched the Season 2 DVD a hundred times already. The episodes never get old to me.

  • Martin was my favorite also, but as funny as it was it never got the ratings it deserved, and when it dropped in the 5th season as much as it did,and with Tisha gone I know it was over.

  • It's hard for a black sitcom to make it a year, let alone 5 years.IMO white america wasn't ready for martin back then,if it debuted today it would have been bigger.

  • Yeah, true. But if the whole incident with Tisha didn't happen, I believe it would have lasted a couple more years.

  • I agree. Before they had the conflict I thought they dropped the ball with the baby plot.I thought they could have got alot of mileage out of that.I figured that was the next step for them.

  • tell that to the producers of Sanford & Son, Good Times, Wayans Bros, Jamie Foxx, etc.

  • i'm sorry, tell them what?

  • You said it's hard for a black sitcom to make it a year. How do you figure? There's lots of black sitcoms.

  • Now I understand. What I meant was in the last 10-15 years I've seen lots of black shows(good & bad)come and go due to a lack of ratings,Martin was no exception.

  • Then the shows that stay on a few seasons during this time period,How many of them were original, how many captivated the black tv viewers every week, how many were really funny?

  • In the late 80's,early 90's there were alot of can't miss black shows for me to watch. The Cosby Show was the flagship for the 80's,when it ended Martin took it's place, but when Martin ended there was a huge void for me.

  • That void lasted until Chappelle's Show in 2003,that's alot of years in between.I personally was never into the WB & UPN show's.Though I'm hoping the best for EveryBody Hates Chris.

  • You really didn't like anything after Martin? I thought Wayans Bros. was pretty good, and Jamie Foxx really good. There was one scene where Jamie Foxx and Braxton had a dance-off to Michael Jackson's "Beat It". Myself and everyone else that saw it thought it was hilarious.

  • Believe it or not a few months ago I saw that bit by accident flipping through channels, and I too thought that was hilarious, but it never made me want to watch another episode.I liked Jamie in stand-up & movies more.

  • As far as the Wayans Bros. go,I liked 2 of their movies Don't Be A Menace & Scary Movie, they were o.k. on In Living Color, but I couldn't get into their show.

  • I got nothing against you or anyone else,if you like the shows that WB & UPN were/are spitting out then more power to you.I think maybe Martin set the bar a little high for me.LOL

  • Jamie Foxx show and the Steve Harvey show were the next two funniest shows closest to Martin IMO.

  • I absolutely agree!!!

  • damn right they were!! they had me crying laughing.

  • fresh prince was also crackin me up..

  • CLASSIC

  • DUDE IS STRAIGHT SILLY!!!

  • HAha NIce
