I grew up on a inner london council estate during the 80's. Rave's and hip-hop were coming into the scene. None of which are seen or addressed here. And what's with the fashion styling? Casuals went out in 1981! We were all wearing baggy jeans in 1986! This is so not 1986.

I grew up in the Midlands during the 80s and casuals were not out by 86, they hadn't even reached their peak yet. Infact they were the backbone of the madchester and rave music scenes in the late 80s and early 90s. Given This is England is set in the Midlands it would be a joke to have hip-hop influences in 1986.

Remember, fashion travels north and takes a few years getting there :-P

This is England '86 is so wrong in many many ways! In my 1986 I did not see a single skinhead or casual! Maybe 5 years earlier but not in 1986, ever!
