My bands grand finale at out Jazz concert the other day was this song, no one can stand still during this song. My two best guy friends who aren't really the dancing type COULD NOT stand still during this song. Just imagine two 15 year old boys swaying back and forth to the music.
James Stewart did a good Glenn Miller but there will always be one. What happened to those lovely days when things were decent, kind living and everything seemed to be a happy existence despite the war and everything else that went on. This is good times never to be had again. If there was a time machine want to go back and see those times until the mid nineties that was happy days.
It IS slower. It may be one of the ghost bands or imitators. Also note the first image on the video was that of Jimmy Stewart, the actor that played Miller in the 50's so this could be from the soundtrack of The Glenn Miller Story.
but the crackling noise in the back ground didnt do it any good.
but the photos and the quotes were A+!
and i know if i found an old record like this and had the chance to play it on a turn table .....i would gladly go there anyway and dance my but off!.........;-)
This is truly one of the best songs ever made. How ever the sound in this tape is a bit blurry you might say. But it was so good hearing this song again.
@OldFart2K thats becuse people think that this old music isnt cool at all, they think its cool to be lisnening to songs that have people screaming all the time.
A little slow, but wonderful

Glenn Miller is one of the VERY best all-time Big Band musicians... why can't today's music be so mellow and down-to-earth???
