Gotta love Kefka, great attacks and a fun personality. Plus he's the seconf most siccessful villain in the seris, after Kuja who did manage t blow up his planet upon achieving his full powers.

Sephiroth was sucha disapointment in Dissidia, not his moves as haven't tried playing him ye, but he doesn't do anything in the story. He's just there for the sake of fighting Cloud for the umpteenth time.

Well, Kefka managed to becoem a gob, slaughter the espers and was choaking the life outof everythin on the planet. Sephirot....burned down a town and used some materia that was handed to him.

As far as villianousacomplishments go Sephiroth doesn't really have much, he just looked cool and then Jenova and the clones did all the real work.

It really comes down subconsciously to FF6 vs. FF7. FF7 completely changed the series. In a lot of cases, older fans don't feel it was for the better.

The games became a lot more active in combat than mental, the settings changed to more technological, and the emphasis started to be more heavily on one main character than a cast.

FF6 is the pinnacle game of its age of RPGs, and FF7 is the turning point. Conflict is inevitable, and the villains are a perfect place to start.
