Where do you people live that are growing these large mangos. I live in California and have just purchased a Valencia Pride. Hope it survive the frost.
I'm surprised you didnt eat your dog yet it looks like he's been tender for a wile. I know I would eat him.. Haha jkjkjkjkjkjkjkjkjkjkjkjkjkjkjkjkjkjkjkjk but that is a HUGE MANGO ;D
Keitt can get to 3-4 pounds, Lancentilla, Springfeld and Pascual varieties get into 5+ even Valencia Pride, which my mother has in her back yard gets bigger than the one shown here. but the largest mango ever is one my Uncle brought from a farm, 13 Lbs !!!! the size of a large cantaloupe, i found out in recent years that the variety is called "Caco de Hombre" or ( mans noggin ) it was bland, and fibrous. whats more important is taste. and texture.
