My wife has one of the Biometric ID cards. It's just a rather sophisticated ID card that can be scanned & it brings up info on you. like my drivers licenses but more sophisticated. There might be info stored on the card, but when a police man stops you he can scan your card to bring up info on you. Now what that info is might be a point of contention.

no its a question of overpopulation in areas that don't need it. most illegal immigrants aren't setting up in rural towns in the midwest. most immigrants, like most of the people who live in this country, flock to the cities. but they come with little money, and often wind up overcrowded in slums. all this build up and fighting for jobs in such small and contained areas leads to gangs/gang violence, drug rings, and any other profession that pays. often illegal ones

All the republican candidates were proposing this biometric identification as a solution for immigration.
Ron Paul called them out. How can we give identification cards to some without being accused of discrimination. That is most likely the argument they will use to give everyone the card. The legislation is already there.

Also i dont think a chip would be to healthy, there have been reports of cell phones causing brain tumors up 21% in the past 10 years. What would a wireless chip do while it sits inside our bodie for god knows how long. Then again we could just sit around waiting for the nukes.

This is only a justification to get Americans used to the idea of having RFID's implanted underneath human skin. Once this notion sinks in, it will be easier for the masses to accept getting biometrically scanned, fingerprinted, thumbprinted, iris-scanned, etc. for pretty much any excuse - the environment, terrorism, fighting crime, drugs, etc.

I am from central america (latina. Also agree with Mr. Lou Dobbs. My country is having the same problem with the inmigration. So, when you are the problem, you won't see the reality. Our medical systems, is in the edge to collapse because of the illegals. They go to the emergency room, local clinics and our citizens paid for that. Also, they are taking the medicines to sell it, in their country. While the citizens are force to paid for a private clinics and hospitals. It is that right?
