Hard not to love Dr J. For my money, he had the most elegant moves of any player in NBA history. His reverse layups, his dunks, his moves to the basket were just poetry in motion.
The Celtics Sixers rivalry was bigger than the lakers in the early 80's.
Dr J was one of the few players I couldn't hate or route against unless playing the C's and the fights were intense with that picture of Dr. J and Bird at each others throats literally.
He was great player and an inspiring Person very humble and one of the greatest Dunkers of all time. His ABA days were great. His sixers days too. But you gotta love it when he dunks that red white and Blue Basketball.
Jordan got all his moves from the DR.! every move Jordan did Erving already did it.Jordan was just more of a show off than Erving.ide love to see them 1 on 1 both in there day!!!

A sincere man, a good man, and, ultimately, a great man of basketball.
