Thank's for the video. I use to work at Stone Mountain park. I cannot tell how many trips around the mountain I made with the general II thanks Randall
I am glad you enjoyed it! I wish I knew a lot more about what I was looking at when making this video - next time I'll have to take some literature with me....
Yeah, I love it. I have owned two CJ7's prior to this Jeep, and once I have this one paid off will probably start looking for another project CJ or wrangler to turn wrenches on.
Yeah, it's a really neat place - I didn't even show a quarter of what this place has. As for the car, it's a Jeep Grand Cherokee - you can see where I threw a flowmaster on it in one of my early videos...
The Tennessee Valley Railroad in Chattanooga, Tn. We use the GP30mostly on our weekend service to Chickamauga, on the dinner train, and occasionally on the Missionary Ridge Local. We are getting ready to send it and our grill coach to our Hiwassee Branch in Etowah. Then we can use our RSD1 more.
I haven't been to the TVRM since the 80's - Is there a best time of year to swing out there? Any special engines or cars running anytime soon that would make it worth the trip from Atlanta?
In April, June, and October, TVRM is going to run the Summerville Steam Special. It will be the last time #610 will be going to Summerville before it's overhaul. The consist most likely will be Southern Open Air Car #1000, Central of Georgia (Southern) Coach #907, Detroit and Mackinac Grill/ Table Coach #873, Dining Car #3158, the "Traveller's Fare", the Southern Pacific Open Heavyweight 12 Section Sleeper "Clover Colony", featured in the Movie "Some Like it Hot", and the Observation "Eden Isle"
Thanks. They have a really cool collection of stuff there from steam to modern, as well as all years of rolling stock. They even have lots of RR china and memoribelia as well. It's pretty sad I don't just join with an annual memebership considering they are only like 3 miles from my house. If I do become a member, I can help out with restoring a lot of that stuff, which would be a lot of fun since I don't have any more CJ7's to tinker with....

Yeah, I only showed maybe 20% of that place. I'll try and get back soon and do an overhot of the whole place instead of focusing on a few pieces.
