I read "Dreams of Joy" yesterday, in one day, and it's filled with sadness, love, loyalty, lies, and more sorrow than ever. Oh, and starvation. It was a great book. But I was literally in a sad mood while reading most of Joys chapters. Shanghai Girls is really good to but is a little to..."soap opera drama". The books are also a little educational too. I would recommend "The Good Earth" to anyone who likes "Snowflower".
I read Shanghai girls, and i cant wait to get ahold of the next book! :D
