there are people loosing their property because code enforcement fees, the fees are higher than the value of the house itself. One of contractor told us that he bought a new mailbox and the code enforcement came and told him he needed a PERMIT to change the new mailbox. Ridiculous laws, abusive....and so on, I am so angry that I barely can write properly. This code enforcement all over US are A MAFIA, yes A BIG MAFIA acting legally. They say they are here to help but they are just get yr money
No way to cut the budget in St. Petersburg! We have gangs of overweight busy bodies running around in large SUV's doing nothing but spending our money. Budget for Codes was 3 MILLION DOLLARS last year! We need to lay off a few firefighters and police, but we keep these clowns!
no one living in this area should be surprised; St. petersburg has been heading downhill for years. It needs to return to being the city of "Green Benches" and the retired elderly. that city has done nothing the past 35 years but screw itself and all its citizens. And now they want to force an un-needed baseball stadium on everyone; what a joke they are. Every city involved with a sports team is bilked by those idiots who always need a "new stadium" or dome. Why does anyone put up with them?
