which is a strange because this isn't one of his bouncy feel good songs. In fact it's kinda rather sad...but it hit number 1 before I turned a month old.(off his 21 at 33 album) meaning this was EJ's 21st album at age 33(as of 1980) I imagine he tripled that by 2010...and he still could.

21 at 33 was produced as Elton's 21st album at 33 speed and it's also EJ's age. OK album but the drugs especially coke and a Los Angeles recording studio dont mix............Its no Yellow brick road

I believe 21 at 33 was recorded in France. But agree, coke and recording studios wasn't a good mix for Elton.

this is one of my favorite Elton John songs.....correction it IS my favorite Elton John song. However, it seems impossible to get a copy of the album or CD. I belong to BMG and they offer all of Elton's albums except this one.

Love this song. Elton is totally lip-synching it here. I really liked him back when he was an amazing entertainer, before he became a well-known princess, and before he started doing soundtracks for Disney features (the height of selling-out, IMO). That last bit goes for Phil Collins, too. But even still, this is a good vid.

@evilwit sometimes though what the artist puts out and feels and is more personal and is his best work doesn't sell because the buyer has poor taste. Come on Michael hated his work for the Thriller album and it was the biggest(Off the Wall and Bad should've been bigger even Dangerous) And then Fleetwood Mac doesn't sell well til they come to america and gets a dizzy little blonde to dance around on every stage half coked, but of course the young perverted males will buy

At that time elton was trasnplanting hare, that's why he grew such a long hair at the end of the 70's and always wore hats. And I think this wasn't a good period in his life, and remember that he and Tapuin hardly wrote together back then, until they teamed up again in 1983.
