  • That's cute! It's not in the style of a madrigal, more the style of a Mozart opera.

  • @DueTrombe Or an early Mozart symphony.

  • Snuffy sure sounds different in this one.

  • Who is the voice of Snuffy? (Singing voice)

  • How dada.

  • When did Josh Groban do the voice of Snuffy haha. (Just kidding of course)

  • Does ANYONE know where I can get a copy of the song that was sung between Buffy St Marie and Big Bird? It went like this, "I believe what you believe and I believe in you. If you say there's a A Snufflelupagus, I do too." I love that song. It is a great song about belief! Anyone?

  • I thought Judy Collins was more of a folk singer than an opera singer. Nice song, though.

  • @muppetfan33 You can definitely get that from her singing! I think she is known for her eclectic-ness.

  • Can ANYBODY find Judy on Sesame Street singing "A Song Without a Rhyme" with other muppets?

  • For some reason everytime I watch this video, I think of Southern California. it's tough to explain. Snuffy was my favorite sesame street character because I thought of him as a magical elephant.

  • I wonder what it would be like to get hit with his enormous snuffle lol

  • When I first saw this skit when I was younger, I didn't know that it was Snuffy because of his high tenor voice singing. I thought that it was a different snuffleupagus. Then when I heard Snuffy's voice at the end of the skit not singing but said, "Oh I'm sorry", I thought it was Snuffy inside another snuffleupagus, or I thought that Snuffy was doing the voiceover for another snuffleupagus.

  • theres NOWAY that wud teech kids the alphabet!! its well2 confusin and they wud keep saying letters over n over agen

    lyk ABCDEFG...CB..UM...JKLMNO...OP?

N THEN THEY WUD GET CONFUSED!

  • @emma4991 Kids were actually a lot smarter back then. Not only did we learn the alphabet, but many of us even learned how to use real words and spell them correctly.

  • When or how can we see more segments of Judy Collins on Sesame Street?

  • How is Snuffy operated??? He is my favorite chracter on Sesame Street

  • @WDWSmilez Sorry this comment is three years too late, but I just read it... Actually, if you look up Marty Robinson (Snuffy currently)'s Sesame Street Blog it gives a tour inside the Snuffy puppet. It's cool!

  • Singer Judy Collins was also a guest star on The Muppet Show's 3rd season back in the year 1978. She's a very talented person!

  • 2nd season tms

  • Awesome! And Judy Collins must be magic, as she appears to be the first adult to notice Snuffy!

  • @welchm8 It's not that the adults couldn't see him, it's that he always either showed up late or he left before they came.

  • Sounds as if they borrowed an aria from Mozart here, judging by my time in music-appreciation class. You're right that Snuffy doesn't sound like himself until the spoken "Oh, I'm sorry", though: four stars for breaking the "rules" of kidvid in general, and of Sesame Street in particular.

  • Thats kind of freaky. lol

  • It might have been nice to give Mr. Snuffleupagus maybe a bouquet of cabbages.

  • Was this when Jerry Nelson played Snuffy? Why didn't he do it?

  • I wonder whose idea this was.

  • I never knew Brian Muehl did Snuffy!

  • Just the singing voice, I think.
