Well I have been using Fram filters since the early 1970's I have used them in ALL my cars..I have NEVER had an engine problem...kept the oil changed at 2000 miles. My old jeep that I have driven 140000 mile since 1991 has had NOTHING but Fram oil and air filters....still going strong,.....still change the Valvoline every 2000 miles...Yup ...the jeep is old,..but runs like a champ!!
my dad and i used frams and purolators back in the 80's and 90s when they (fram) were still good, but as of lately all we have been using were purolators I got tired of my chattering valve train
Some of you may remember this commercial, but i remember this particular Fram commercial from the late 80's. It was this Fram character that was a face on a mop head & it was red looking and talked about Fram oil filters, or some Fram product. I was only 8 or 9 at the time, but i remember it well. Anyone else remember this commercial? I may have it on an old VHS tape where my dad recorded Nascar races back then.
At one time FRAM was a good oil filter. You will notice aside from it being 1981 that it says a Bendix company. FRAM is now owned by Honeywell. FRAM uses those cheap cardboard end caps.

Fram are the worst garbage oil filters on the market.
I wouldn`t use them even if I got them for free.

FRAM is actually a good filter morons. Honeywell spends more on their paper than anybody, and paper is what filters oil, not endcaps

You'll still be paying him later because fram filters (at least these days) are cheaply made crap. Never buy Honeywell international inc filters.
